"Yes…" came Dominic's hesitant reply.

"To me, what he was doing was telling me the good sort of lie. He did that to stop me worrying. That is a type of lie, that I cannot be upset about. If it was the bad sort I would have been angry with him. That is the type of lie that you can be angry about. Then there is the third type of lie Dominic, and what has happened here is that type of lie. A complicated one, that you need to carefully understand what has happened before you make judgements. Those are not the easy ones to fully understand. As adults, when it impacts children, we have to help you understand why things happened."
