Dominic looked at Matthew and said, "But I could see you Daddy Matthew."
Matthew, realised with those words that there was no way he would win the argument with Dominic, and looked around at everyone before Steven said "Dominic, just because you cannot see your Daddy Matthew should not matter. Would it be different if you were out with say, your Uncle John and I, and he went running off to help someone?"
"Uncle John is a policeman, that is what policemen do."
"It is no different with your Daddy Matthew. Your Uncle John when he became a policeman promised to help people, as did your Daddy Matthew when he became a soldier. I could see that your Daddy Matthew made sure you were OK before he went to help people, which is what he should do."
Dominic stuck out his tongue at Steven, which caused Steven to laugh before saying "You know I am right, don't you Dominic?"
"You meany Uncle Steven. How can you say that?"
