Capturing the terrorists (12)

27 June, Cathedral Square, City K

Feeling relieved that a sweep of the buildings was being completed, Matthew looked around the square and observed that the police starting to erect barriers to cordon off Cathedral Square.  How he wished that this could have been done before the operation, but too much action risked the terrorists observing something out of the ordinary and reacting.  In the planning of this action, Head Honcho had been clear.  No police perimeter was to be established until the site had been cleared.  Hopefully they were not being too quick in making the decision that was the case.

Over the radio Matthew heard John's voice, say "Teams confirm clearing status?"

"Team one, basement, ground and first two floors cleared, four remaining"

"Team two, two basement levels and ground floor cleared, six floors remaining"
