Fanjian Village

5 minutes later….

Zheng who is plainly clothe before are now fully equip with the set of heavy armor with a sword tied to the left side of his armor and a shield on his back along with the bow and arrows strip on two side of the horse. Looking completely like a season general Zheng observe the men in front of him closely as they line up into formation.

'17 men, this should be good for now and the customize armor that I made look quite good on them as well. Hopefully, we won't run into any large group of soldiers from the two states.' Thought Zheng as he get to know each of his men and confirming the things that Aria have told him. Zheng is now certain that his men will think twice before doing anything evil.

Decided to move out towards the village before dark, Zheng bought some supplies from the system functions and distribute it to his men before they march forward. Luckily, the village is not hard to find since the location of this village are implemented within Aria database.

Everything was going smoothly and soon the village can be seen in the distance but what throws Zheng off was that smoke can be seen raising on top of the village and the closer they got the warmer it is.

Suspecting something might go wrong, he decided to stop their march in the direction of the village gate. Leading his men to a small hill nearby, Zheng and his soldiers have a clear view of the carnage unfolding below.

Inside the village, collapse buildings are everywhere as fire continue to rage on while screams of death could be heard in the air. Dead bodies littered the mud ground as it paint the ground red and in the center of town is a large group of people around 400 cowering in fear being surrounded by what seem to be armored soldiers.

Giving a quick estimation, there should be around 300 soldiers with 100 of them being light cavalry and 200 being light infantry.

[Ding! The host original quest to claim Fanjian village have been modified into a two-step quest, would the host like to take it?]

'Huh? A quest? I totally forgot all about that…please show me the content Aria'

[Step 1: Rescue the villagers from the soldiers (reward: 10 silver sycee and 1000 life points), step 2: be victorious over the enemy troops (reward: 1 gold sycee, 10 set of weapons and armors, 5 horses, 5 heavy infantry of each kind, and 5 heavy cavalry plus 3000 life points.)]

'I thought the village supposed to be remote so how the hell did they get attacked already and by such a large group at that!? Sigh, but on the off side this could give me a good opportunity to booster my own forces from the quest reward.' Thought Zheng as he sigh at how bad his luck is while thinking up a plan.

'Aria, I accept the quest and do you recognize the uniform of those soldiers below?'

[Ding! The quest have been added to your quest log and those are the Yen state soldier's base on their uniforms]

'So this is one of the two state in the area? But how did they find the village?'

[Correct, the Yen and the other state which is the Chen state is in constant conflict so it's not surprising that a group of soldiers accidentally stumble upon this village while getting lost going to the front lines.]

'I see, please tell me all about the two states Aria'

[Will commence the transfer of information to the host brain now.]

With his eyes closed Zheng organize the information that Aria have imparted into his brain. After an hour, Zheng open his eyes which look sharper than before. Looking over at his men Zheng said "let wait here until dark then we will make our move."

"Yes, Unit Commander!"

Soon, darkness fall upon the area and a group of men could be vaguely seen running through the woods toward the village due to the camouflage of their dark armor that Zheng modify to blend into the surroundings.

After reaching the village outskirts Zheng said "remember our plan, we will split up into three groups. The first group will be me and unit 1 with the responsibility of drawing the soldiers away. Second group will be unit 2 and your responsibility is to release the villagers then lead them to our meet up point. Third group which is unit 3 will provide cover during the escape. Understood?"

Simultaneous whispers "understood unit commander."

After confirming that everyone know what they are doing Zheng left with unit 1 towards the encampment of the Yen soldiers on the south side of the village while the rest also closing in on their objective.

Arriving next to the encampment, Zheng can see multiple patrols moving about and just so happens an opportunity fall right on his lap because not too far away from him two soldiers is walking away from the encampment.

"Hey I need to take a shit, let go over there. Help me keep a lookout will you." Said the Yen soldier

"Alright but make it quick because I don't want to smell your stinky shit." Replied the other soldier as the two of them made their way into the woods.

Going behind a bush, taking off his pants, and getting comfortable but before any business could be done. The yen soldier was taken down by Zheng as his sword stab through the back of the soldier head, killing him instantly and soon the yen soldier companion meet a similar fate.

Putting on the armor of the yen soldier Zheng and one of his men infiltrated the encampment while the rest are on standby. Going through the camp it could be seen that many village women are being used as plaything to these soldiers.

Unfortunately, there aren't nothing Zheng could do at the moment to save them. Continuing to move forward and soon the two men made it to their destination, standing in front of wagons full of supplies Zheng gesture to his soldier that it time to cause some chaos.
