The morning meeting.
Chen Xu sat in his chair, a pen in his hand hovering above the notebook. His eyes were on Secretary Guo on stage, her mouth opening and closing, yet he heard nothing of what she was saying.
Luo Xiyun still hadn't come to the company.
It had been several days now. Was her illness serious?
Secretary Guo had been vague the last time she spoke of it, and now he was a bit worried. In his dreams, he hadn't noticed any health issues with her.
But given her strong-willed nature, even if there were problems, she wouldn't take the initiative to tell him.
Such a thought flashed through his mind until Dai Zixin gave him a tug, alerting him that the meeting was over and everyone had left. He packed up his notebook and stood up.
Dai Zixin said, "What's been with you these past few days? You're always so distracted."
"Forget about it."
Chen Xu shook his head, rubbed his eyes, and said, "I don't know what's going on; my eyelid has been twitching all day."
