"So this is where you live," Chen Xu remarked as he looked at the entrance of the complex, pausing in his steps. It was indeed quite a distance from the company, taking at least forty minutes by car.

No wonder he had resorted to using loudspeakers to broadcast noise in his dreams; she hadn't heard it because it was just too far.

Chen Xu curiously asked, "Why do you choose to live so far from your workplace?"

"This house was left to me by my mother. Living here always keeps her memory alive," she replied.

Chen Xu sensed something in her words and asked with a hint of surprise, "Your aunt, she?"

"She passed away," Luo Xiyun answered calmly.

Chen Xu apologized, "I'm sorry, I didn't know…"

"It's okay, she has been gone for ten years," Luo Xiyun said, looking towards the complex. After a pause, she added softly, "But in my heart, she has never left."

Chen Xu held her hand tighter but said nothing.

The two stood quietly for a while.
