The New World is a game that will be online on July 23, 3023, A VRMMO game published by an unknown company, the game is a massive realm with a unique feature that is different from other VRMMO of its time. The game features freedom of creation, with over different job combinations where players can take any job that they are interested in... This is the synopsis that the unknown publisher put up on their website. VRMMO players taught that the game is just another rip-off of other VRMMO games that came before it. But they are wrong... so wrong.

July 22, 3023----------

Philmont High School

"Hey Pacifico!, wait for me!". A young man with blonde curly hair and a pale complexion ran towards me exhausted, this man is my friend Julio.

Julio: I've been chasing you for almost 3 blocks now!

Pacifico then removed one of his headphones.

Pacifico: Hahaha. I'm sorry, I didn't hear you.

Julio: Do you know the game that everybody is talking about?

As the two walk past the school gate. Pacifico pulled the remaining headphone out of his ears and slide them inside his bag.

Pacifico: The New World?

Julio: Yah! That is the one! They said that it's full of mystery and it's very intriguing.

Pacifico: All games are like that... but in the end, all of them are the same, the only difference is the character concept.

Julio: You've been playing a lot of VRMMO games these past few days, and they bore you now, right? By the way! The guild master is searching for you! You've been absent for almost a week now! Are you playing something new?

Pacifico: Tell the Guild Leader that I already quit the game, you better quit too, you look paler, and your body looks like it needs some sleep and food.

Julio then waved his hands towards the school entrance, in front of the school stood a fat guy with long black hair tied in a bun, eating something like a waffle with a burger patty between it, this guy is Tonio, but we call him Fatso.

Julio: Fatso!, I never saw you without a portion of food in your mouth.

Tonio then pulled a banana inside his bag.

Tonio: Do you want some?

Pacifico & Julio: No...Thanks.

The three then entered the school building. Inside is a tiled first floor with a fountain in the middle and an elevator, at first look, you'll know that it's a school for the rich kids. Philmont High school is well known as the school of the Riches kids that you'll know of. The children of a businessman, celebrities, and even politicians were enrolled here.

I, Julio and Tonio are not like the rich kids here, we just have the chance to study here because of our parents. All of our parents are childhood friends, they know each other and worked at the same company, one of the biggest companies in our district... Red Phoenix Corp.

My Father is the head of the Cosmetics Industry while Tonio and Julio's father are managers, we are not rich like the other kids in our school; that's why we turned out like outcasts. Because of this, the three of us grew close like brothers.

After walking the corridor for almost 5 minutes, he three ended up in Room 4A.

Pacifico: This is my room for the semester, what about you guys?

Julio: Tonio and I are in 4E, where the other outcast is.

Pacifico: Ok, see you at Lunch Break.

Julio: I think this one is already in his dinner

Julio then pointed Tonio for the joke.

Tonio: If you don't shut your mouth then I'll eat you for Lunch

The three of them laughed it out before entering their classrooms.

4A is the room for the 50 top students of the 4th year class; every year, students need to take an exam to evaluate the things that they learned in the previous year. Philmont only allows 250 students per academic level, and this test eliminates other students from advancing.

After entering the classroom, Pacifico saw some of his classmates already talking with each other, Pacifico looked at the ranking to see his sit number.

Pacifico: 23. Between Solidad and Mario, Solidad... She's new.

Pacifico looked at the seats and saw Mario having at him.

Mario: Yoh! Pacifico! I thought I will not see a familiar face this year.

Mario and I were always in the same class, I can say that his my friend but our families are a world apart. Mario is the only Son of Two Tigers Corp.'s President, one of the 10 significant families in the business world.

Pacifico: I'm glad that we are still classmates.

Mario: Me too, I don't know anyone here.

Pacifico: Where is your School pamphlet? If you look at them, you'll see my name right beside yours.

Mario: I lost it. Hehehe...

The two continued to talk with each other, some of their old classmates approached them and spoke as a group, catching up with one another then suddenly a beautiful girl entered the classroom, she has a long black hair and a pearly white complexion, red lips with few freckles on her cheeks. All of the guys are stunned, her beauty was different like the other girls, it was simple yet so pure and elegant at the same time, as she approached her friends and smiles the boys who are looking at her also smiled without them noticing it.

Pacifico: Dudes, your smiles are weird, you can stop now because the teacher is here.

As the Teacher walks toward the table, the other students ran in each of their sits, the girl then sat beside me, and I can feel the murderous gazes of all the guys in the room.

The day progress like usual, one by one the students say their names in front of their teacher, and after that, the teacher will talk about the upcoming things that we will learn, before leaving, the teacher will hand us out with the textbook that we will use.

Mario and I went out and waited for Julio and Tonio to walked out of there classroom, together we ate at the school's cafeteria.

Julio: I heard that the school's goddess is in your class, I saw her, and she was the most beautiful girl I've ever seen in my whole life.

Tonio: You'll never get a girl like that in your whole life, so better settle with your fantasies before it gets out of hand.

Julio: I know. I think only Mario has a chance to get close to her, and he is the only one who has a significant family background in section 4A.

Mario: You all know that I already like someone, and that girl is not as simple as what you think, she's one of Soaring Dragons President's grandchildren.

Tonio: So she has that kind of background.

The three realized that Pacifico was lost in thoughts.

Mario: All of you are planning to play it?

Julio: I'll play if you guys play.

Tonio: But we don't have any idea about the game.

Pacifico: Something's not right about the game, but I can't say that I'm not intrigued about it.

Mario: Maybe it's a marketing plan?

Julio: So what now!? are we playing it or not? the server will be open at precisely 12mn

Pacifico: I'll try it.

Mario: Me too.

Tonio: Okay, fine! I will join in too.

After class, Pacifico and his group went straight home.

Pacifico: Mom, I'm home.

After entering, Pacifico noticed that no one is home. He approached the table and saw a note on the table.

"Just order your dinner honey, Dad has an urgent business outside of our district, and he planned to celebrate our anniversary there."

Pacifico smiled, His Mom and Dad have a good relationship with each other, like newlyweds, seeing them happy makes Pacifico feel lucky to have parents like that.

After eating dinner, Pacifico downloaded the game and set his alarm to 11:57 pm, and slept the night.

Pacifico woke up to the sound of the alarm, He then picked his cellphone out, and a group called the others.

Mario: I just woke up! Where are the others!

Tonio: Who made the call?

Pacifico: It's me, where is Julio?

Julio: Present! I just woke up.

Pacifico: I just called, so you guys will remember it.

Julio: I'll hang up, for now, see you in the game.

Tonio: Me too, I'll eat some midnight snacks first.

Mario: Me too, I'll sleep first.

All of them dropped the call, Pacifico then grabbed his Gaming Helmet and placed it on his head, he lay down in his bed and closed his eyes and waited.

After opening his eyes, Pacifico discovered that his sitting on a giant tree wearing animal hide, he looked around to see if there are other players around, but he found nothing.

Pacifico walked towards the Carnivorous Rabbit, but before attacking, the rabbit ran away from him.

Pacifico: I..It ran away?

Pacifico looked around to get some clue about the game. All he can see are tall trees with massive branches and vines. He returned to his first location, and he saw a group of rocks with different color, a blue panel appeared in front of him

Pacifico continues to investigate the stones, and the next thing he saw was broken bricks, he continued to dig it and felt something that resembles metal. He pulled it out of the ground and saw a sharp metal with rust all over it, at the side of the rust he saw remains of a carved side... He tried to clean it up and saw something frightening.

Pacifico rubbed the rusty surface with his clothes, sweat started pouring all over his face, as he rubbed the rusty part of the metal his face is slowly turning pale, he rubbed much harder with a panic look on his face... after seeing the full carved message he dropped it, and his whole body collapsed to the ground. The carved letters in the item are consist of letters that he was familiar with... Pacifico remembered there gate... Wall made out of decorative bricks and cement that is colored white, with barriers reinforced with metal and colored brown to look like wood. And on its side is carved with his family's surname... Ibarra.
