Shuichi's advice to Naruto

Clan head residence, Hyuga clan compound;

Just like every citizen of Konoha, the Hyuga clan members were also sleeping in peace. Except for the patrolling guards of the clan, only one person was awake.

Shuichi was sitting on the roof of his house and was staring at the moon. Tensei Rinnesharingan, aka, The Eyes of God was fully activated for some reason.

In reality, he was actually spying on the other worlds located far away. There was an interesting fight scene going on between a boy with a stretchable body and a fellow whose body looked like it is just made of sand.

"Ugh… this boy is too reckless. You don't fight like that." Shuichi was a little bit frustrated by the rubber boy's actions. "But, I should say, this pirate kid puts his life on the line for his friends. It's like I'm seeing naruto from his teenage. I wonder whether all of those so-called devil fruits are coming from the shinju of that world. Not every shinju is the same and gives the same abilities. Should I go there and acquire… Hmm?"

Shuichi's vision was cut off and his eyes returned to tenseigan form as soon as he sensed the presence of Naruto in the clan.

After a couple of moments, Naruto landed on the roof with a serious look on his face.

"Are you here as the Hokage or my brother-in-law?" asked Shuichi as he glanced around. The Hokage's guards appeared to be waiting outside of the clan compound.

Naruto took a leap and landed a foot away from Shuichi and handed him the letter, "this was sent by Rinji."

"Rinji?" Shuichi took the letter in curiosity. His daughter was on the same team. So, he wondered what might have happened too.

After reading the letter, he nodded and then looked calmly at his brother-in-law, "Do you want Alliance to send a team?"

Naruto shook his head, "No, I want you to track Sasuke and send him there. And warn the remaining tailed beasts to be careful. Four were already captured."

"Nothing to be worried about, Naruto. The ten tails cannot be revived without its husk and the bijuu cannot have true death. They just revive after a year, although in the form of a tailed beast. Furthermore, who could abduct Matatabi from the clan of byakugan." Shuichi gave his assurance to Naruto that another shinobi war will not be started because of the tailed beasts.

Naruto eased up by Shuichi's words and took a seat beside him, "By the way, I'm curious about something. It's about Boruto."

"You want me to talk about his dojutsu?" Shuichi looked through Naruto instantly, making the latter feel a little bit embarrassed. Scratching the whiskered marks on his cheek, the Hokage nodded, "Ever since you told me about that, I was curious. Boruto also keeps requesting me to ask you about it. I shouldn't have told him but… sigh…"

"Nothing to worry about. That kid is just desperate to prove himself," Shuichi shook his head with a smile. He further said, this time in a stern tone, "If his father stops running away and gives him the attention his family deserves, then, half of the problems will be solved itself."

Naruto lets out a deep sigh in response, "I don't know. I love my children and wanted to spend time with them but something always comes. The war has devastated the world. So many shinobi died and so many kids became orphans. People say we were in peaceful times and the quality of life was improved a lot.

But, it is only true on the surface.

The sheer amount of paperwork is the best example of that. I cannot use shadow clones for work as it is disrespectful to the position and I cannot just simply sign every document I receive on the table.

Ugh… sometimes, I feel like taking a vacation but the thought of paperwork increasing by several folds scares me."

As Naruto speaks out his worries, Shuichi patiently listened until the end and simply said, "Why don't you create an administration division to look after the paperwork just like our Alliance? You would then only need to take care of matters of high-level importance. The administration division can decide that for you too. It will make your work easier and create more employment, although it will require you secure funding from the daimyo. After all, they would need high wages for the job."

"Eh?" Naruto was stunned for a second. "But, wouldn't it make Hokage appear partial? At this rate, wealthy individuals will get preferred over the problems of the commoners. Our Konoha citizens might be preferred over the other villages in the fire country. Not to mention, it not only feels like I'm running away because the work is tiresome but also feels like I'm selfish."

"First of all, you are Hokage, Naruto," calmly replied Shuichi. Looking at his friend, he further said, "If you don't trust your subordinates to do the job, then, who will? Secondly, the divisions were created in the first place for everything to go smoothly and swiftly with improved efficiency.

Why was there a shinobi system and yet, why were there anbu? Why was there a police system? Ever thought about it?

You aren't selfish here, Naruto. You are just trying to do something that solves the problems of the citizens more quicker. And your job isn't just making the lives of the people easier but also your family."

Naruto didn't have a counter to Shuichi's words and felt silent. In the end, he could only say that he will think about it before returning to his office.

Once he is gone, Shuichi's smile wiped off his face, and he became serious while gripping the letter. Through tenseigan, he saw invisible letters beneath the writings of the normal letter.

"So, my research materials at the mountains' graveyard as well as my hideout fell in the hands of someone, huh? It's not a big deal but the fact that someone is stealing the bijuu and my research materials is bound to cause trouble.

Putting that aside, Rinji plans to unleash the zero tails in the upcoming fight and is asking for my permission. Aihara might be a jonin-level ninja but she was no match for that creature. In that case, I would have to keep my eye on him in case he gets possessed."
