Ch 3 - Friends?

Half-way through the train ride, while the boys were discussing pranks, the compartment door slid open. "Anything off the trolly, dearies?" The trolly witched asked with a kind smile. Celine's head snapped up right away.

"I'll take some sugar quills and all the chocolate you have," Celine said softly while putting her book down. Fred, George, and Alex looked surprised that she spoke.

"And here I thought, she was incapable of speaking," George whispered quietly to the boys. Alex shot him a deathly glare.

"That's my sister," He said whispering frantically back. Fred looked transfixed at Celine while she was playing and his brother and new best friend were quietly arguing about who knows what. Celine dumped all her products on her seat and proceeded to open a small music box from one of her bags. The music box though small on the outside had an extension charm and a lightweight charm on it. She proceeded to put most of her chocolate in the music box and saved the rest for the train ride.

"-ed... Fred... Fred!" Alex yelled at the redheaded boy who finally snapped out what seemed to be a trance.

"Do you have to be so loud?" Fred snapped back, pretending to be normal.

"Well, he's been calling your name for while you git," George commented lazily. Fred glared at his twin brother who didn't seem to care less.

" Does anyone want a sugar quill or some chocolate?" A voice sounded out softly in the compartment. Alex and George got sugar quills and started sucking on them. Fred simply grabbed a bar of chocolate, thanking the girl quietly, while his face started to heat up when he looked into her steely blue eyes with his brown ones. His brother and Alex, not noticing anything peculiar just kept at it planing pranks nonstop. Celine, however, went back to her book munching on her chocolate. Fred tore his eyes away from Celine and joined in on the boys' conversation.

For the rest of the train ride Alex, Fred, and George discuss what Hogwarts would be like. Celine would join in every once in a while. "Hey guys, we're almost there! We need to get changed," Alex said, once the sun had set in the horizon.

"Alright, you guys can change in here, I'll head to the restroom," Celine said getting her robes and getting out of the compartment so the boys could change. The door clicked quietly behind her as she made her way to the restroom. She saw boys glancing at her every once in a while before turning away again. But Celine was used to it. She could less. Lune suddenly appeared out of nowhere and loyally started following her mistress. Once Celine was done changing, she picked up Lune and made her way back to the compartment. Upon entering, she was greeted by something that would have made any person jump. Unfortunately for the boys trying to scare whoever walked in next, she wasn't any person. She was Celine Terranova. Scaring her would be a feat that her brother has yet to accomplish, for years.

"Damn it!" Alex hollered frustrated, " At least pretend to be scared! I have pride you know!"

"I agree with your brother... It's like trying to scare a statue," George muttered underneath his breath. Fred simply threw his hands in the air and plopped down in his seat. Celine sat down with a ghost of a smile on her face.

"You guys didn't really think that I would scare that easy, would you?" Celine questioned the group of troublemaker boys. Alex chuckled shaking his head slightly.

"Shoulda' known better," Alex laughed as he pat George on his back.

"Just you wait, Celine Carrie Terranova!" George yelled in defeat.

"That's not my middle name," Celine said with her iconic neutral face.

"Belle?" George asked as Celine shook her head. "Bella? Estelle? Molly? Juliette? Elenora? Alexandra?"

"Nope, Fleur-Rose," Celine said smiling slightly at the last guess he made.

"How'd you come up with Alexandra?" Fred asked his twin with a confused look.

"Alexandre? Alexandra?" George yelled as if it were obvious," I clearly got the brains, dear brother."

"If you have brains, then I must be a genius," Alex muttered quietly. George and Fred exchanged a glance and the next moment pounced on Alexandre Terranova. Tickling Alex, the next moment the compartment was filled with boys laughter, and if you listened closely enough. You would be able to hear the quiet tinkling laughter of a girl who hadn't laughed in nearly 5 years.

*Ten minutes 'till we reach Hogsmead, please leave your trunks and pets on the train, it will be brought to your dorm later. Ten minutes* A voice rung through the train, as night began to fall. Fred paused and looked at each one of them, "We'll be friends no matter which house we're in, right?" He had a worried look on his face as he asked quietly.

"No, if we get into different houses then I'll abandon you in the forbidden forest and let the werewolves feast on your limbs," Alex said sarcastically with a smirk. "Of course we'll be friends, no matter what. Alright?" George and Fred nodded. Celine looked at them with a blank face, while a million thoughts rang out in her head. Maybe this could work out...

"Les amis rendent la vie beaucoup plus douce," Celine muttered quietly to herself. Fred, George, and Alex looked at her with varying faces. Fred looked confused, George looked simply annoyed, and Alex switched between confusion and joy. Celine quietly chuckled and left the compartment.

"What the bloody hell did that mean?" George turned to Alex as the door clicked quietly in place. Fred looked at Alex as well.

Alex sighed with a smile on his face," loosely translated, friends make life all the much sweeter..." He paused then continued," I think she's warming up to you guys. She hasn't shown this much emotion or joy since we were six." He then quietly added in his head, I just hope that this will continue. That she might heal if we made new friends. For once since their parents died, Alex had a spark of hope that the sister he lost so long ago, would return soon. with time.
