Forgotten Friendship

It's the first day of my Second year in Senior High.

This morning, Arthur was forcing me to wait for him so we could come together to school in his Dad's car.

At first, I hesitated because not only was he suggesting that we let everyone in school know about us, he was also trying to shorten my lifespan with his driving skills again.

But I made a promise to be a good girl.

That's why, although I was ready to go and he was still scratching his oily hair, I agreed to wait for him downstairs given that he promises to drive safely.

Arthur nodded without hesitation while making a cross on his chest with his finger. But twenty minutes quickly passed and there was still no sign of him.

So, I went back upstairs to check on him, only to find him snuggly tucked under his covers.

Snoring.
