Chapter 29: The Kingdom's Protection

Clasios were still very afraid by the arrival of 10th Sain Diyo. However, he as the leader of their group couldn't afford to be afraid in front of his teammates.

"What do you mean protecting him?! He killed many of our men!" Clasios tried to wiggle his way out to seek retribution.

"Isn't it normal for you guys to be killed?. Are you saying that you are allowed to kills us but not vice versa?" Diyo's haughty voice sounded out loud.

"Or is it that. You're all humiliated that your group as Rank 2 players, are actually killed by a Rank 1 newbie?" Hearing March's report before he understood what the enemy group will try to do to Shi Fan. So he ordered Tiger Tail's group to protect the young kid knowing that he will be a wonderful asset in the future.

The power separating levels can be supplemented with equipments and bonus stats gained from quests and items. However, it couldn't be said to ranks. As Ranks increase their power of suppression towards adventurers and monsters that have a lower rank than them increases by a lot. If a single Rank 5 player fought against 10 Rank 4 adventurers it couldn't be even considered overkill as it will surely without a doubt the Rank 5 player will win.

Clasios' group of player killers were afraid of news coming out that some of them are actually killed by a Rank 1 player which they tried to ambush. That humiliation couldn't be wiped away as long as the kid still exists.

"I don't care. I want that kid to die." Seeing as their plans have been found out they no longer have to hide any longer.

10th Saint Diyo's aura grew stronger the moment he heard those words. "Didn't I tell you? He's under our protection."

"Lay a hand on him" He pointed towards Clasios. "And the entire Kingdom of Estafiel will become your enemy." Diyo solemnly declared as he looked at Clasios in an angry manner. As one of the authoritative figures in the Kingdom, it could be said that only King Sampem is higher than them in terms of authority.

Clasios bit his teeth in anger. They couldn't afford to anger the whole kingdom right now as their group is still expanding.

"Retreat." Clasios ordered to his teammates and pulled out the Stone of Nesam from his bag. They all transformed into blue lights vanished heading towards the nearest cathedral.

Diyo slowly walked towards Tiger Tail's group. He looked at Shi Fan's figure noticing the Sword Of Uograzi behind his back.

"That sword of yours is truly a double-edged sword. In the future be more careful as we will not be always there to protect you." According to March's report, CEO Han's group tried to steal away the sword from Shi Fan. It seems however that he just ordered Clasios to kill this young man in front of him without telling him about the sword. Otherwise, a bloody battle will surely break out.

"Huh?" Shi Fan still couldn't understand what was happening.

"Kid, that group of people is not from here." Tiger Tail spoke after seeing Shi Fan's questioning face.

"They aren't?" Shi Fan was shocked by this detail. After all, they are familiar with this kingdom's people.

"They came from the neighboring Kingdom Of Ashur in the east. Even though that kingdom is weaker compared to ours The influence their group has is becoming stronger. So in the meantime, they are now expanding to the neighboring kingdoms." Tiger Tail explained. He is about to talk more until a global system announcement interrupted him.

Emperor Online will be having its system update for 24 hours. Ongoing raids and quests are temporarily paused by the system for the duration of the update. The system repeated the announcement thrice.

Every once in a while, the game undergoes system updates which means an improvement in gameplay as well as fix some bugs along the way. In this way, more content will be added for the enjoyment of everyone playing the game.

"Well, it seems we need to continue this conversation next time." Tiger Tail tapped Shi Fan's right shoulder and pulled out a Stone of Nesam. With his action, the rest of them followed suit and used it.

Shi Fan watched as their figures slowly disappeared. He then noticed that 10th Saint Diyo still didn't teleport out.

"Kid. Do you wish to join our group?" Diyo asked Shi Fan then he smiled. "With our group, we may be able to help you grow stronger so you can fight them without our protection what do you say?"

Shi Fan contemplated for a while until he came to a solution.

"I'll think about it during the system update." Shi Fan honestly spoke.

"Then let me add you as a friend. Contact me if you have an answer." Diyo opened up his friend list and sent a request to Shi Fan. Upon noticing that below his name on Nearby Players there is actually one whose name is "?????" he couldn't help but smile upon remembering his subordinates report that a future Emperor might show up after all "Seeing is believing"

Diyo tapped the "?????" marked and selected to "Add as friend". A friend request bar popped out on Shi Fan's front indicating that Diyo wants to be friends with him. He immediately accepted the request.

Seeing as the 10-minute deadline is near. Diyo pulled out a blue and red-colored stone from his backpack. Shi Fan couldn't help but be shocked upon seeing that stone.

"Isn't that?" Shi Fan said excitedly.

"Oh, this?. Hahaha is it your first time seeing it?" Diyo couldn't help but laugh.

In his hands, it is no other than the "Infinite Stone of Nesam" which could teleport not only to the recently visited town cathedral but also to the other cathedrals of the kingdom the user is affiliated. The stone is only dropped by bosses with a miniscule chance on Level 100 and above Epic Raids which shows how hard it is to procure

Unlike the Stone of Nesam which immediately turns to dust after usage. The "Infinite Stone of Nesam" like its name doesn't work like that. It is usable as many times as the user wants.

"Come with us. I might give you one if you do. Hahaha." Diyo laughed as he teleported into somewhere.

Seeing the departing figure Shi Fan couldn't help but be awe in admiration. He used his own Stone of Nesam and teleported to the nearest town. He booked an Inn for a day and lied down the bed.

"Master I'm logging out now." Strange however he waited for a few seconds but he didn't receive a single reply. Thinking that Quan Shi is sleeping he logged out of the game.
