The Last Game Emperor

Shi Fan began his killing spree the moment the duo attracted the Lizardians attention. With the help of Shi Fan's spinning Cecil followed him without being injured at least once. They both stopped under the Sahara Tree with hordes of monsters following them which is still attracted to the egg's energies. As only the monster can sense them Cecil couldn't find out why are they being chased despite their high levels.


"Good. Cecil stay nearby me as long as we're party members you will not be damaged." Shi Fan commanded as he started spinning. As party members in open fields, they will not be damaged by any spells cast by their own party members however it is different in dungeon raids. To add more difficulty to it developers added the friendly fire function so they will be trained in sidestepping even their allied's spells as they will also cause damage to them when they are hit.


"Roger." Cecil hasn't accepted to join their party nor allowed Shi Fan to be her leader she still liked the feeling of belonging to a group, especially with the opposite sex.


Shi Fan began killing monsters at an unprecedented rate where there is always a steady growth on his experience level despite being almost at a 10 Level gap and having Cecil at his party. He just stopped spinning when he heard a system ping.

After that system notification, a loud rumble could be heard nearby. Cecil tensed up her guard as she noticed that the Lizardians seem to be afraid of something.


A strange phenomenon appeared behind them which captured their attention. The Tree of Sahara which is a few meters away from them began splitting into two.


"It's here." Quan Shi was elated for a strange reason. Shi Fan heard what he just said and asked a question.


"The portal to Ashme Forest." Quan Shi replied in a direct voice as much as he could tell Shi Fan the secret of this place he couldn't do so to avoid spoiling the fun.


"Ashme Forest? Isn't that one of the rumored Garden of the Gods?" Shi Fan remembered the familiar name on one article he read before.


"Yep, like Ryuusuji Falls this is one of the Garden of the Gods." Quan Shi spoke in a happy tone. Garden of the Gods also known as the Favored Places is one of the most infamous places in Emperor Online. There is one such case when a Rank 7 accidentally stumbled upon one and he gained something inside that abled him to contend with a middle-tier Rank 8 that once enraged him. That fight shocked many other adventurers as they rushed to find other similar places.


"Ryuusuji Falls is a Favored Place?!" Shi Fan was about to step inside when he heard the name of another familiar place.


"Of course, you didn't know that?" Quan Shi smiled. He expected the kid not to know that and he is actually not wrong.


"Hell if I do, why didn't you tell me?!" Shi Fan glared at his master as he felt the most unlucky person right now. Favored Places are known for their immeasurable resources that even Rank 10 Emperors are incapable of obtaining. The search for Favored Places reached up to the point the neighboring islands were also scoured clean and Ashme Forest is one of the rumored places.


"I thought you knew hahaha." Quan Shi laughed. He continued. "It's time to head inside, lest others might notice the aura gushing out." Although other weaker entities might not notice the aura that is unique to Favored Places it won't escape Quan Shi's attention.


Shi Fan nodded. One of the lessons he learned of the game is that. All entrances have time limits and this one is no exception.


Cecil was still confused about what is happening yet seeing as their leader is slowly stepping inside she also followed as there is no indication of danger nor Shi Fan didn't stop her from following him.
