"Finally!!!!"
Olis gave out a small shout of excitement as he saw the blinding light that indicated the exit to the cave.
It had been four months already and he was quite bored of his routine life inside the cave.
Feeling the bright sun hitting his face right after coming out, Olis stopped for a moment, gazing back inside the cave he asked himself. 'What should I do about the little girl?' But soon he decided to discard her away. It was not that he was being heartless, instead he was being cautious.
"There must be a reason that she was chained inside! It would be best to avoid meeting her again!"
Once he decided, Olis started acting on his new objective, resolutely throwing the cave and little girl out of his mind. He carefully inspected his surroundings and found out that his surroundings were quite strange.
The ground around him was made of a grey coloured stone and as far as Olis could see, there was only greyness. There were no signs of vegetation at all.
"Hmm! Should I go back inside?" Olis felt conflicted. There was no signs of life outside the cave and this made Olis hesitant. After all, he could die out of starvation if he did not find any food.
Olis wasn't someone who would take risks, so at this moment he was hesitant. Should he bet and move forward or should he be cautious and go back?
After a whole minute of deliberation, Olis decided to return back to the cave.
"Sigh! I am such a coward." He smiled wryly and turned back.
But, wham!
Due to some reason, the cave was no longer behind him. At the same moment, the grey coloured ground below Olis started to shake violently.
Crack!! Crack!
Before Olis could react, large cracks spread throughout the whole ground and the puny, tiny Olis was devoured by one of the cracks.
....
"Is it fine this way? I left the village to take a look at the outside world, but big brother had repeatedly mentioned that the outside was filled with scary demons. Should I just go back?" A young man looked hesitantly towards the distant village. His name was Flin and he was probably the only person in the village who had not come in contact with any weapons.
"Hump! What's there to fear! I am a Divine Healer, the bane of demons! I will pulverise the demons if they dare to block my path!" Flin laughed in an innocent manner which did not fit his previous domineering words.
"Ahhhhhh!"
Suddenly, a strange voice travelled across space to reach Flin. He subconsciously turned his head towards the direction of the strange sound. A black object, no, a living being was screaming his heart out as he fell down in the distance.
Flin was taken aback by the sight. But he soon shook his head and ran forward.
When he reached the site of impact, Flin saw a blood filled scene. The boy who had fallen from the sky had his hands and legs broken! Apparently, the boy had decided to sacrifice his limbs to protect his life at the last moment. He forcefully sustained his fall through his hands and legs.
"Ah!" Seeing such a gore-some scene, Flin felt a chill down his spine.
The villagers fought with demons on a regular basis, so seeing blood wasn't a strange thing in the village. But Flin's big brother was a strong man and had shielded Flin from taking up the weapons which led Flin to never see a blood filled scene like this one.
One of the main reasons Flin was still so pure and innocent was because of his strong brother who doted on him.
After the initial surprise and fear, Flin carefully cast a basic healing spell on the unmoving boy. Flin was a Level 15 Divine Healer, so casting a basic spell expended almost zero mana.
But to his dismay, his basic healing spell did not heal the boy's injuries, instead his spell seemed to have caused the boy some extra damage.
Flin was confused. But before he could think about it, the thin boy who had been lying down, on his last breath, suddenly opened his mouth scaring the innocent Flin.
"Blo...Blood! give...give me Blood!"
"Blood?" Flin's body shook violently as he stared at Olis in fear. "Y-you! You are a demon!" Flin screamed, falling down on his butt.
Olis: "..."
"I..I lost too much blood! Normal healing methods won't be able to heal me!" Olis noticed the strange situation and hurriedly spouted some nonsense trying to salvage the situation. "Normal healing methods would damage me even more at the moment as these methods usually expend one's own blood to fasten the body's restoration!" Lucky for Olis, Flin was a still a noob who could be easily fooled.
"So it was like that!" Flin seemed to have accepted Olis's explanation. He had to heal Olis quickly or Olis would die. So in his hurriedness, he bought Olis's explanation. If it was any other villager, they would have doubted Olis, but Flin just had to be too pure.
"So, um, you need blood." Flin hesitated for a moment, but seeing that this place was quite far from the village he gritted his teeth and taking the knife hanging at his waist he cut his hand at a non-vital spot and brought it towards Olis's mouth. "Sorry, it's an emergency! So drink blood directly from my hand." The innocent Flin willingly offered his blood to the demon.
Olis: "..."
Olis did not feel awkward as he drank Flin's blood. To Olis, survival was more important than some false pretences. But for some reason Flin's blood tasted bitter.
'Hmm, the little girl's blood had been sweet, so why is this guy's blood bitter?' Olis thought as he sucked on. 'Was it because of different genders?' Olis wasn't sure, but since both types of blood still gave him health he dropped his thought.

Blood Sucker +1 Health
Blood Sucker +1 Health
.....
Olis was still crippled in both his hands and legs, but he wasn't going to die anytime soon after this session of blood sucking. But Olis did not relax yet.
His thoughts drifted back to Flin's reaction towards demons and Olis could not help but feel empty. Olis knew that he could not hide the fact that he was a demon from Flin for long. Once Olis finishes drinking blood, Flin was most likely to notice that Olis was a demon.
After all, Olis's illusionary fangs and some other of his demon characteristics were easy to notice.
What should he do? Olis's mind was in a chaotic state as he tried to think of ways to salvage the situation. All this time, his mouth did not stop sucking on Flin's blood even though Olis's Blood Sucker Trait had hit its limits and no longer provided him health.
"Um, is this enough?" Flin's face was pale. A sign that indicated that he was lacking blood. But he still smiled at Olis.
Seeing that innocent smile, Olis felt an unknown killing intent rise inside him. Sure Flin was helping him at the moment, but as soon Flin notices that Olis was a demon, Olis wasn't so sure that Flin would still be willing to help him.
'It seems Demons and humans are on opposite sides in this world, and with deep grudges! I must be careful!'
For sure, killing Flin was the best option, but Olis just did not have any potential to kill Flin at the moment. Olis thought fast when a brilliant story from his hometown passed through his mind.
If possible, Olis did not want to rely on such a method, but that damnable cave and that damnable grey coloured ground just had give him this big surprise just after leaving the cave.
"Yeah! Thanks! Your Blood really was a life saver!" Olis stopped sucking and smiled widely clearly exposing his pair of shining vampire fangs.
"Ahh!" Flin was taken aback. "Y-you! You really are a demon?!" Flin once again tripped down and fell on his butt out of fear.
"Yes! I am a demon! A lowly vampire to be exact!" Saying this, Olis's eyes turned wet as tears rolled down his cheeks. "I..I am just a low level vampire! Sob!"
