Hentana cave

Kael went to the Hentana cave to hunt kobolds. As what his mission has stated, he has to kill twenty kobolds and retrieve their right ear as evidence that he killed them. He exited the city of Dwight while on foot. This time around, he walks on a relaxed manner as it was near from the Kingdom. He grabbed his map and stared at the drawings inscribed. He saw that he has to follow the path northwards. It was the forest of Dwight that he was paving and then put his map back to his back pack. After walking for a while, he noticed many adventurers were already going home. Thinking that they finished earlier with their hunt because they were stronger and their numbers were greater. The other adventurers who were ten in numbers were talking about upgrades on their skills and to purchase new sets of armor and weapons. They walk passed by Kael who was just silently listening to them. Kael was whistling songs he knew in the past while he travelled, some were nursery rhymes and others were jolly songs that can be recognizable if you are born on earth. Some merchants were on their carriage, whipping their horses to walk faster. Kael lets the carriage passed by then hides in the back of the carriage. Getting a free ride as he travelled faster and effortless. He was looking outside from time to time and was staring too in the map to know that he was in the right path.

He was entering the Hentana forest and luckily, the carriage was also not planning to go anywhere else. Kael was at ease as he realized that he was a merchant in the Hentana cave. Looking at his wares on the back made him realize it. Weapons, potions, armors and many more. Looking outside as he was memorizing his path, he was able to see with hia own eyes what was Hentana forest was. It was a forest of maples beside the road and the path was scattered upon by its leaves. Kael was silent when he was inside so he was careful not to make unnecessary noise. Thinking about his mission, he was looking forward to what kobold looks like, how strong they were, and what was their boss.

Kael peeked outside and he saw that he was entering an hub up ahead. He saw adventurers and merchants alike, many merchants were lined up with their established stalls beside the cave itself. Kael exited the carriage silently and saw the mouth of the cave. So wide like three houses combined but still has room to spare, so high like a three storey building. Kael was currently on the outside of the Hentana cave. The adventurers were going in and out of the cave and others were selling items. The cave was located in the Hentana forest and Kael was in his jaw drop mood. Seeing it up close made his day, it will become tourist spot if not for the monsters inside.

He has a steel sword and daggers, as well as chains wrapped in his arms. He purchased potions like health potions and strength potions–all were five each.

He was ready to fight anytime and the first five levels were an area for training the newbie adventurers. Kael went inside and he has the experience in fighting. The boss was located at the tenth level and many veteran adventurers died at the boss' hands. They call him Dreadpaws, the first five levels were safe and the boss seldomly went to the six-level, not on the first five.

Kael went inside and the smell of the air was like the smell of unwashed dogs. The stench was disgusting but tolerable. He walks to the cave and the cave was illuminated by glowing stones. It helped the adventurers to see and they were not carrying torches–which was troublesome. Kael walked the first level, then he met kobold that carries a pickaxe. It was currently mining the glowing stone on the first level. Kael grabbed his attention by whistling at him.

Tweeewwwwweeettttt!

Kael draws his sword, then attacked. The kobold miner panicked and attacks with his pickaxe. But Kael slashed him at the belly as he passed through. The miner wants to fight head-on but he felt the pain as his blood gushed out from his body. It crashed on the ground and Kael removes his right ear.

"One down," he said.

As he was removing the ear. He heard howls in a near distance. The enemies were fast approaching, making Kael immediately surrounded. They managed to surround him so fast that it was astonishing. They recognized their brethren and they were angered by its death. They have a strong bond with their colleagues and killing one of them will trigger their bloodlust.

Kael was surrounded by five kobolds that were using a shovel and pickaxes. Eyes glitter in red as they looked at him. Kael tightened his grip on his sword as he prepared for their attack. They launched their attacks and Kael evaded the first attack. It was a shovel that was used as their weapon. He dodges, then slashed him.

Their attacks barraged from all directions, Kael evaded them all unscathed but exhausting. The kobolds were annoyed by his actions. He blocks some of their attacks and dodges some of it.

Kael felt relaxed when he was evading, leisurely moving his body to get out of their attack's direction. He has expected their incoming attacks and he reads them.

Whoosh! Whoosh!

He focused on evading and wants to regain his past self's quickness by testing his enemies.

"Still not close to the past, but it was enough to evade these monsters," he said to himself.

Kael finished testing them. Later on, attacks them.

He slashed them one by one and blood gushed out of their wounds. Kael was dismayed by their clumsiness. There were still enemies left so he killed the other one by beheading it. The others trembled but didn't back down. They attacked and Kael kicked one of the attackers. Instantly stabs his steel sword at one of the enemies. Three left, he strikes with accuracy at his enemy. Making his attacks critically damaging to the ones he attacked. Slashing its belly to half. The others attacked too despite seeing their comrade sliced into half. He slashed and it cleaved to the two enemies. Kael immediately beheads them.

He collected their ears and their cores then he left. Kael then went to the second level. The next stage of the enemy lair.
