Raine- The Life Of Mikaela Tadayoshi.

Tv Show Host, "Today we are in for a very special treat. Joining us today is the head of administration, responsible for the security and wellbeing of the peace treaty. Turned in 1922 and third in power behind leader Koda Jakuchu please welcome Mikaela Tadayoshi." They all cheered in the audience as he entered the stage.

At home, Ohma had pulled out his old television for the girls to watch. Raine sat impatiently her leg shaking with anxiety expecting to see a man who looked a lot like Kuno but was stunned to see someone entirely different. Reluctant to watch Ohma began writing reports barely listening to the nonsense on tv. Hide's reaction was the most interested of all, her eyes practically lit up when she saw him.

Tv Show Host, "You never fail to catch the lady's attension I see, haha." Girls began screaming in the audience but his face remained stone cold like a robot. Mikaeala had silver fox slicked back hair and luminous aquamarine eyes that sucked you in almost like a trance. He was at least 6"2 with a lean yet muscular build, you could tell from the tightness of his white shirt. Wearing a black suit and smart shoes with his top buttons slightly undone revealing his collarbone and a silver cross necklace hanging low. It was his mole under his left eye and a piercing on his right ear of a diamond that caught Raine's attention because Hide had an earring in the same spot.

Tv Show Host, "Well down to business, you've been the head of administration for thirty years now in that time you've never really come across anything like a revolt is that correct?" Mikaeala stared back and almost as if someone had cued his he responded in a crisp voice, his tone was mellow yet threatening at the same time.

Mikaela Tadayoshi, "No this happens to be a first for us but the situation is being handled accordingly." Ohma clicked his tongue, Hide smirked she thought he wasn't listening. Raine didn't know what to say either, this young man just looked hollow as if following orders. His personality was nothing like Kuno...

Hide, "We used to call him Mika for short, it was a nickname." Hide said quietly making sure Ohma couldn't hear. Mika...suited him better Raine thought.

Tv Show Host, "Handled you say? What does that entail exactly?" Mikaela rolled his eyes and leaned back, his attitude wasn't very pleasant, to say the least. Still, Hide didn't seem as furious as Ohma which probably meant she respected him.

Mikaela Tadayoshi, " Whatever you want it to mean, I'm not willing to disclose that information. Are we done here?" Hide suddenly squeezed the sofa as if troubled by something. Raine looked at her questionably.

Raine, "What's wrong?" Hide looked down sadly.

Kimura Hide, "I just don't want him to go yet, it's been so long since I've seen him." Ohma glared at her disapprovingly, unbeknownst to Raine they both were feeling the same thing but just disguised it differently.

Raine, "You really care about him, don't you? If so then why did he leave?" Ohma switched off the television and sat opposed to her ready to get some things off his chest. Hide simply stared at the black screen longingly looking almost ready to cry.

Tokita Ohma, "Mikaela came here about forty years ago looking for refuge against the fourth progenitor who had discovered his creator Kudo Tadayoshi. Being of strong progenitor blood he was also gifted with the ability to control matter much like your father. It's a very powerful ability to have and well sought after so he was being targeted. Hide was still a firstborn vampire at that point so I had my hands full teaching her control but it didn't stop me from taking him in. I fed him, clothed him and supported him through a tough time until one day he disappeared from here leaving us behind. Next thing we know he's in the newspaper being crowned as the new head of administration." Hide shook her head disagreeing with him.

Kimura Hide, "That's only a shortened version of the truth. Mika said from the start he wouldn't be here forever because it was dangerous for us. I know he has his reasons for leaving you're just too attached Ohma. You said he was like a son to you remember?" Ohma for the first time snapped big time and pinned Hide against the sofa with his large hand covering her mouth, her eyes widened in shock before squinting angrily.

Raine," Please stop! Look I know I've troubled you both a lot by coming here and I've opened some old wounds...but if being here is going to tear you both apart then I would rather find him on my own." Hide bit his hand pushing him off her.

Kimura Hide, "I brought you here for a reason. I know we can help you more than anyone else, we're technically blood relatives after all. Don't listen to this old geezer, if he won't help I will!" Ohma sucked the blood from his thumb and sat back down seeing he had well and truly lost against his kin.

Tokita Ohma, "Your right, I did think of him as a son. Now...he's nothing more than a stranger to me. I'll help you get close to him, but I won't welcome him back here and that's final." Picking up a pack of cigarettes Ohma stormed outside slamming the door behind him. Raine looked at Hide who was taking deep breaths to calm down.

Raine, "Um...I'm sorry for causing a dispute between you. I know it's not my place to say but it looks like you both really care for him." Hide smiled playing with her earrings, that was an understatement.

Kimura Hide, "Mika was like a big brother to me for a long time, we did everything together. So it hurt when he left us so suddenly but I'm happy he's alive." Being alive was enough for her even though he had abandoned them? No...this was much more than a sibling type of love.

Raine, "I wonder if Kuno survived and that's why he chose to create kin?"

Kimura Hide, "Hm? What do you mean, survived the palace?" Raine shook her head and peeled up her sleeve, nostalgically the teeth imprint was still there. Hide gasped grabbing her arm for a closer look. Vampires have impeccable healing abilities so for a scar to be left it must have been deep.

Raine, "Kuno Tadayoshi meant a lot to my father, they discussed everything together. My mother used to say they were connected at the hip. Because of that when he contracted a blood disease they refused to let him suffer. So...I tried my best to cure him using my blood. We had a routine where he would come every week to feed when he was feeling sickly." Hide stood up her face pale white, so submerged in her memories she didn't realize Ohma had come back too.

Tokita Ohma, "You healed him? But I thought vampire blood was toxic for us to drink. Raine...do you also have the healing ability?" Startled she had let one of biggest secrets slip, the one she promised to take to her grave Raine stood up and bolted for the door. Ohma grabbed her shirt and pulled her back inside wrapping his hands around her shoulders.

Raine, "*Gasp* Let me go!" Hide stood in terror not knowing what was going on.

Tokita Ohma, "It's okay Raine. You don't have to hide anymore, we won't hurt you." This was a monumental discovery for the vampire race but it also meant that this girl was in a lot of danger. The only place she would be safe was here but Ohma also knew that there was one person who needed saving without a doubt. After Raine had calmed down they retired for bed sleeping in Hide's room. Ohma sat wide awake in his chair looking at old pictures of Mika and Hide learning to control their thirst, behind closed doors all he could do was smile at the memories.

Mikaela was such a sweet, kind kid so why had he strayed away from them and into the hands of that monster. Ohma was tired of turning a blind eye to his pain and now that Raine had offered some salvation he needed to see him...no matter the cost.

Meanwhile at the Administration offices...

Mikaela walked into his glass penthouse suite at the top of the building and collapsed in exhaustion into his chair lettin out a heavy breath. He hated public interviews nevermind live ones where he couldn't take a break. Peeking at his aching stomach a black veiny rash suck out of his toned stomach.

Mikaela Tadayoshi, "Dammit it's getting worse, I need more..." As he was about to get up a buzz from his phone interrupted him, that was strange usually people didn't contact him directly. Sighing in annoyance he picked up.

Mikaela Tadayoshi, "What is it?" Snapping back to his cold threatening tone the receptionist on the other end began stuttering.

Receptionist, "U-Um, Mr.Tadayoshi I'm sorry for disturbing you at this time but we have a situation down here..." Feeling a sharp sickness in his stoach he doubled over in pain, he didn't need this right now.

Mikaela Tadayoshi, "Let security handle it, I'm busy!" He went to throw his phone when a frightened gasp on the other end stopped him in his tracks.

Receptionist, "T-That's n-not possible sir. The security has been wiped out...he said this matter is very important and demand your immediate attention." Suddenly his interest was peaked, the security were very strong men so for them all to be taken down meant this person was very skilled.

Mikaela Tadayoshi, "Put them on the phone." He overheard the receptionist tell the intruder that he wished to speak with him then the phone went silent. Starting to think she had also been taken out Mikaela stormed over to his desk and pulled out a gun.

"Long time no see kid, think you can let me in?" His whole body went numb...he knew that voice too well. Why was he here after all this time?

In the time it had taken to walk to his desk the intruder was already at his office door. Seeing the shadow of two feet underneath he growled angrily before slamming it open coming face to face with an old friend.

"Yo." Wide-eyed and filled with an overwhelming sense of guilt Mikaela looked away from him and sat back down in his chair pouring a whiskey for them both.

Mikaela Tadayoshi, "Sit." How long had it been since seeing those green eyes, 20 years? 30 years? Sitting opposed to him glaring hi into oblivion, they began the awkward exchange of information since separating ways.

Mikaela Tadayoshi, "What do you want Tokita, I'm a very busy man." Ohma felt his heart sink, he wouldn't even call him by his first name anymore...they had really drifted that far? Trying to bypass his fury in one shot he sucked down his whiskey slamming his glass on the table. Mikaela hadn't changed at all, his stunning silver hair still curled at the back and those eyes...those Carribean sea eyes that glowed constantly. Ohma cleared his throat, they had a lot to discuss and he'd done a lot of damage reaching him. Meaning they had limited time.

Tokita Ohma, "You're looking good brat, hows the life of luxury treating you? Better than the slums I guess." Seeing he was looking for a fight Mikaela reached for his phone to call for backup, his body was too tired for this nonsense however Ohma apprehended his phone before his fingertips could even touch it.

Tokita Ohma, "Oh no you don't. No more running away Mika, I know you don't want to see me after all this time and I don't particularly want to see you either but there are bigger issues right now." Ohma looked daringly serious secretly telling him something was going on.

Mikaela Tadayoshi, "Don't call me that. I don't care for what you have to say, if you've come to accomplish your vendetta then just beat me up and be done with it I'm tired." Mistaking his so-called issues, Mikaela believed he was talking about the revolt. This man's face reminded him of his sins, they were once family until he abandoned them... It was painful because Ohma hadn't changed one bit.

Tokita Ohma, "I'm not here to hurt you, Mika, I'm here to help you. I know..." Finding him quite humorous Mikaela began chuckling.

Mikaela Tadyoshi, "You know nothing about me. You also can't help me." Ohma could see he wasn't going to listen, no matter what so seeing he had no other option he pulled Raine's picture from his pocket. Mikaela flinched as he slammed it down on the table with his hands crossed.

Mikaela Tadayoshi," What the hell is that?" Ohma stayed silent wanting him to understand on his own. Growing frustrated by those beady judgmental eyes he snatched it up and nonchalantly looked. Then like a lightning bolt struck through his body, he stood up dropping the image that floated back onto the table.

Tokita Ohma, "Do you see the little girl in the picture..." Oh, he'd seen it alright she looked exactly like the king...

Mikaela Tadayoshi, "Why does she look like him..." Stunned he wandered over to the window with a view of Tokyo in plain sight it's city lights twinkling in the night. Something inside of him was squirming...

Tokita Ohma, "She landed in my house yesterday with Hide, told me she was the daughter of Ara and Mei. She also told me knew Kuno Tadayoshi, your creator." Mikaela let a disbelieving gasp escape his mouth, did he really expect him to believe that.

Mikaela Tadayoshi, "Bullsh*t they never turned any kin, this girl is a fraud." Not willing to hear anymore he walked over to the Tokyo view window and stroked his face nervously.

Tokita Ohma, "I thought that too until she nearly destroyed my apartment complex...she's like you Mika she has the gift. Which is only possible if she has Ara's blood running through her veins." Mikaela turned around abruptly with teary eyes, someone like him...

Mikaela Tadayoshi, "Even if what your saying is true why are you telling me this, I could have her killed in a second, you know how the fourth progenitor feels about us." Ohma stood up in a rage.

Tokita Ohma, "You wouldn't dare, after all this time, you finally have someone who can understand you. Raine is special, she can help you. She told me about Kuno, about his blood disease. I knew you were always hiding something from me. That why you joined them, so they could cure you right!" Mikaela ran up and pinned him to the far wall by his throat. Those eyes pierced through Ohma, sending shivers throughout his body. Mikaela was suppressing the urge to tear his head off, he knew nothing about him.

Tokita Ohma, "Raine can help you, she told me she used to help Kuno when he was sick with her blood. I haven't seen it but maybe she also had healing properties!" Mikaela froze hearing that.

Mikaela Tadayoshi, "Raine?" Ohma nodded, it was a unique name but that suited her perfectly.

Tokita Ohma, "I can bring her to meet you and you can see for yourself, but it has to be somewhere private you understand?" Mikaela sighed and released him, it was a long shot but worth a try. He was running out of time.

Mikaela Tadayoshi, "Fine. Tomorrow eight o clock, I'll send you the address. Now get the f*ck out."
