Execution (3)

"Roger! You told me that there would be a day that you would see me free my country!"

Oden felt his body feel heavier the more he fought with this giant piece of golden shit. The man could block his attacks with his body and it would heal up in no time. He wondered how Rayleigh fought this man to a standstill.

"You want to meet Roger? Then stop fighting! I'll send you to meet him."

Garp saw that his bag of treats was empty so he gently folded the packet and placed it on his pockets. He didn't want to litter after all, there's a fine for that here in Loguetown.

"Are you challenging me Hero of the Marines?!"

Oden backed off from fighting Sengoku and directly faced Garp. He sheathed his pair of swords as he concentrated all his Armament Haki on his Enma sword, to deliver his most powerful attack.

"Challenge? I said you'll meet him for yourself. I didn't capture the idiot, he asked me to bring him here."

Garp stood up and patted his dirty pants that had rice cracker dust on them. He looked around the pirate fleet that had stopped their attacks when he stood up, as if acknowledging his presence. He then jumped from his ship to Sengoku's ship that was a few tens of meters away.

"What about it samurai? Let's hurry up! I got more things to do later!"

Garp thought about the responsibility this stupid Pirate King had left behind. First he had me promise him that, and now he has this idiot coming to take him back?

What kind of man gives up his family to his rival? At least I raised my damn son!

"..."

Oden didn't know what to do as Enma had started shaking from the amount of Haki he gave it. His honor made him decide before he even thought about it as he felt the rebound of the Haki returned by Emma spread around his body as he forcefully took it all back.

*splurt*

"Lord Oden!"

"Master!"

Oden then raised his hand, signifying that he was fine. Though he did have a hard time standing back up, he did it all on his own. His red eyes looked at the smiling Garp who was looking at him while crossing his arms against his chest.

"Very well! Show him to me!"

"But Lord Oden! This is not our homeland! We are in enemy territory!"

"That's right! These men might be setting up a trap!"

Protests appeared from his aide that immediately took their place in front of him. A leader may stand at the vanguard during a war but he must not be left alone when fighting on enemy territory. There have been many tales of betrayals that occur during such situations.

"Silence! If Roger trusted him, then I'll trust him!"

"..."

A lingering silence passed as only Oden's foot steps were heard. His swords sheathed by his waist as the man took a bottle of sake and a pair of cups with him. Though he then remembered about Garp and took another one, just in case.

"Let's go! Lead me Hero!"

"Alright!"

The battle was suspended for a while as the two sides didn't know what to do. The Marines looked at Sengoku while the pirates turned their attention to Kaido.

Sengoku and Kaido looked at each other as their Conqueror's Haki clashed. Their competition caused a few men to fall to the ground, unconscious. Kaido looked at the number of men who fainted on his side and those on the other side. His eyes darkened as he saw that he had twice the number of men who fell compared to the Marines.

"Retreat! Everyone go back to Wano!"

"But Lord Oden's still inside!"

"Then stay! But the Beast Pirates will leave!"

Oden's retinue watched as Kaido and his men left the Loguetown's immediate area. Their journey back would take a few weeks as they could not follow Akatora's path of using the Calm Belt as their ships had no protection from the Sea Kings. Though Kaido was sure that he could have ships like that when he returns before Oden did.

"We should catch these pirates now! Their deaths will ensure the seas will be safe from their vile acts."

A young marine Rear Admiral held his sword as he pointed them towards the three ships left behind. There was no black flag on their sails, but a force that fights against the Marines are pirates in his eyes. His short black hair hid the hungry eyes that thirsted for their blood. These scum that dared to fight them.

"East there Sakazuki, the boss calls the shots, not you."

A younger man who also had also reached the rank of Rear Admiral placed his hands on his pockets while simply watching Sengoku who had returned to his normal self. The man's hair had more streaks of gray that it had before he transformed earlier. He looked more tired as well.

"Shut it Kuzan! These scum should be handled before the rest of their comrades try to flee! Bomb them with the cannons!"

"But sir we ca-"

A commander felt his body getting heavier as he tried to plead with the Rear Admiral. He looked towards the distracted Sengoku who suddenly turned around and looked up.

"Oh shut it Sakazuki, Admiral Sengoku is thinking."

A voice that took the attention of everyone on board echoed from above. A valiant figure concealed by the radiance from the sun.
