Twist of the Mind

Within two words, I barely even move a muscle. He is serious about killing me. Fear is spreading to my brain. I tried to pay attention to the text and went to officer Ye Fei and entered a van.


I was tired so I didn't noticed that I fell asleep. I was dreaming about the incident way back when I was a kid kid but was woke up by Officer Ye Fei.


"Kid, wake up, we need to go," I woke up instantly. Only finding myself in front of the police station where we gathered. 


I stood up and started walking to my apartment. I miss my best friend Li Chen.


As I was going to open the door of my apartment room when I noticed a thing.


A few scratch at the doorknob and a cookie under the mat. My room was tried to be robbed. Fortunately, I have a second lock inside. 


I went inside and the room was clean and nothing was missing. 


"Hey, I saw robbers went here, I got them out quickly though." It was Li Chen. She was standing at my door. 


I threw her a cold stare that has the what-did-you-say look.


"Hey, Li Chen, how about we hang out tomorrow?" I knew that tomorrow have no classes. 


"Sure, no cases?" I shooked my head. She excitingly went to her own room and I closed the door of my room. 


I planned the day for me to make up my shortcomings to Li Chen. She saved my room though.


Seven in the morning, Ximen Feng woke up early to get ready for his hang out with Li Chen.


Once he was done, his phone rang. The game notified him.

I didn't knew how come I can be rich at this game. Sherlock's intelligence points? I looked at my inventory, and clicked at the button that shows Sherlock's intelligence points.

Then,  a new notification showed up at my screen.

He celebrated deep inside his heart. He looked at the time at his phone and saw the time.


He got dress up and leaved to go to Li Chen's apartment.


I knocked her door and it quickly opened up. I saw a girl in a beautiful dress. Li Chen, I didn't saw her like this 


I entered the apartment room and greeted Li Chen.


"Ximen Feng! How I missed you so much! Come on let's go!" she dragged me outside the apartment. 


 "Where are we going though?" she later asked.


"Just follow me," I dragged her to an amusement park and saw her reaction. She was happy and shocked. I love her as a friend of mine because she makes me smile but this time, I get her to smile.


"Ximen Feng! Let's ride the Ferris Wheel!" Li Chen pointed at the giant ferris wheel.


I just nodded and we went towards the ferris wheel.


"Okay sir, it will be twenty dollars," I handed the money and ride the ferris wheel.


"This is an early amusement park, weird enough for me," she sat at her seat and looked at the view in the window.


She was enjoying herself inside and when we gone outside, we played at different booths and bought cotton candy. 


I didn't noticed the time so I looked at my phone, it was 12:39 am.


We walked to our apartment while talking.


"Hey, how's your detective work Ximen Feng?" she is really worried about me. 


"I am fine, don't worry okay," she nodded.


"I love it when this happens, you know, we have fun?" I nodded to her.


"Hey, tomorrow is Wednesday so mind going school," she almost scream when I told her we are in public. She likes going to school with me.
