Her hand

As soon as Lena introduced Tina to James, Lena looked at James's expression. She knew that it was no good for her, but she still had to see to confirm.

His gaze was soft, and kind. It was unusual to see him like this. Usually Lena would see him giving a much colder gaze. She froze when she saw his look. It was a look he never gave her.

It was filled with love and adoration. And most of all, it was filled with Tina, and Tina alone. James could not see anyone but Tina.

He reached out his hand to shake hands with Tina. He said that it was nice to meet her, and that he was glad to meet her, but his eyes showed more of what he wanted to say, of all the love and adoration he had for her, so much that he couldn't speak if it in fear that she would hate him. And his hand proved even more than his eyes could show, for he disliked physical contact with anyone, and yet he was happy to shake hands with Tina.

Tina reached her hand out to James's hand, and they shook hands. However, James was reluctant for his hand to part with Tina's hand after they shook. He held her hand for a moment longer than he should, and smiled. He spoke nonsense to allow himself more time holding her hands.

He said, "it's rare to meet another friend of Lena's. It's really a pleasure to meet you."

Then, and only then, did he let go of her hand.
