'No', had been the word that had been said to Eshi for the nth time this week.
Sighing in defeat she plopped herself down onto the dining room chaise, as she weakly looked towards her beloved mother who was sipping from the cup of tea.
"Motheerr~" Eshi whined as she slumped and slouched in her chair, completely lacking the protocol of a young lady that she never had anyways.
The maids looked on, completely ignoring their young lady who was becoming less of a graceful maiden as the weeks rolled by.
"No Eshi, how many times do I need to say it, I will not allow you to step into that Academy." Gods knew that Calypso hated telling her daughter no but pray tell what would happen if anyone found out that her daughter was half nymph.
Nymphs don't give birth let alone having a blood related daughter. Each nymph was born through the ancient holy matrix deep within a cave, the colours of the gems formed through the evolution of time would determine how powerful the nymph was.
Every nymph had one mother and one ruler that was Parameshwa, the current ruler of the nymphs. Of course, the sovereign could change, it really depends if one had the guts to challenge off against that OP freak. Gods for nymphs of course existed but that's a story for another time.
Each nymph of course was born the same way, however each after birth was assigned different roles, some having to live deep in the seas, others deep in the forests.
Therefore, nymphs were a rare existence, it takes no less than at least a thousand years until a magical crystal (acting as a mother womb) produces a breathing creature out of magic energy to form. After that it really was up to the hand of fate whether the nymph can break out of the crystal or not.
Nevertheless, nymphs were extremely powerful while some had become Thirio, (dangerous beasts that causes havoc) however most had been subdue already by the rest of the supernatural race.
The reason as to why Calypso hadn't wanted her daughter to attend the Academy was because she knew that they test the 'Spiritual Roots' of each students before they could assign them to classes.
There were two types of magic, one was produced from external force either using symbols, incantations or other props while using their spiritual energy as a fuel to achieve the spells. This was the type of magic that the world Aloeus has been exposed to.
Meanwhile there were the ones where magic was already flowing through their blood, hence they could send down wind and hail without lifting much of a finger, just having the thought was enough. These magic users belong to the supernatural races, if anyone knew Eshi was half nymph, an extremely rare existence in this world.. she would face so much dangers of those possibly wanting to use her body to create weapons or medicines or.. Or...
Her point was, supernatural doesn't or rather shouldn't exist in the world of Aloeus! If these humans find out that her daughter is special she'd be put at risk!
Eshi was young, and if she was exposed to the usage of the magic that was flowing in her body…and according to that personality of hers, she was also afraid that anyone who got on her wrong side would be burned to death!
Let alone those who wants to harm her daughter, she was afraid that her daughter could become an unintentional murder at that point!
Calypso wanted to cry, her daughter was without a doubt a little genius, however she didn't know how much the initial born powers she had inherited. She really, really didn't want to send her little one to the Academy, however looking at the sulking child who looks like she's about to die if she doesn't go, Calypso closed her eyes and sighed, "let me think about it."
Eshi eyes brightened, she felt slightly guilty, however can anyone really blame her of wanting to go out and explore the big wide world after being stuck in this mansion all year round? "Thank you, mother! You're the best!"
Jumping out of her seat, she rushed to her mother and pecked her cheeks before running off to pack her bags.
"Wait…" Seeing the small figure disappearing through the door Calypso felt at loss, she hasn't even agreed yet!
Later, when dinner was called, the whole house was turned upside down when they realised that the young miss was missing and only a single letter filled with love was left behind.
[~Dear Mama and Papa
Eshi is going to go out and explore the big wide world! I'll come back every month and bring Mama and Papa souvenirs alright! (⌒▽⌒)♡ be sure to eat well and sleep well!
Your daughter loves you alot! σ(≧ε≦σ) ♡ Eshi~]
Duke Ulysses was on his knees crying while holding the letter as if his life has come to an end, whilst his wife was fuming as she looked out of the window.
Earlier she had sensed the familiar aura that had seemed to be appearing every night. Of course, it had been that little 'boy' Ankuj.
During these years she had tried to catch that God when he appeared at their house at night, however she couldn't even see a wisp of his hair when she arrived in her daughter's room.
Later she used several protections spells and had asked her mother for any protection charms. Nevertheless, it seemed to have been useless against that monster.
Finally, she gave up, having given her daughter who seemed as annoyed as her a warning she had written a letter and had asked her daughter to pass onto that God.
But he seemed to have brushed aside the warnings within those letters and had still visited her daughter. Calypso closed her eyes as she took a deep breath, she knew she should've been more cautious. It was too late now.
"Alright, alright stop crying, I sent her off to the Yoku Academy." Annoyed Calypso lashed out at her poor husband. She didn't tell him that Eshi had gone off with Ankuj or the fact that Ankuj was actually a God, she had also kept the night visit a secret from her husband worrying that this husband of hers world go cause trouble in the neighbouring country because of House Xhiva.
Although she was worried sick about her daughter, she highly doubt that God would do anything foolish to her daughter, the powers of the supernatural is no joke and since the God race seems to be declining, they wouldn't do something as foolish as kidnapping her away into the Gods Realm.
"Hic. Without even letting me say goodbye to her?!" Ulysses wailed; how could they do this to him?! He couldn't even say goodbye to his little munchkin! What happens if she gets into danger?! He hadn't even told her about how all men beside her father were all ferocious wolves that could kill her at any second! He wasn't ready! How could they take her away from him like this?!
Meanwhile far, far away a dark horse drawn carriage was seen to be flying through the still bright sky.
Eshi looked out of the window, amazed as she watched the clouds flew past one by one.
Seeing the excited child opposite him, Ankuj smiled as he picked up a plate of sweets, "want to eat anything? It'll take around three hours until we reach Iwanokawa."
Eshi felt giddy, she has never been in such transportation before. She had seen them in books and the House Esther didn't own one hence she never had the luxury of riding in one.
Shaking her head, she looked at Ankuj, "do you think it was a good idea to leave like that?"
Ankuj rolled his eyes as he popped a sweet into his mouth, "if not then are you going to wait for your mother to say no?"
Eshi pouted, she felt guilty that she had left without a word, but she didn't want to be stuck in that house until she turned sixteen when it would be her adulthood ceremony, ready for her to be married off into a different house.
Being stuck in the house, possibly getting engaged to the prince while living the boring life at the mansion? She'd rather leave without a goodbye and come explore the contents in the books she'd read!
She'll write another letter to her parents later and come visit them regularly! Plus, her mother must've known it was Ankuj who bought her out, since she always seems to know when he was there.
Putting away her worried heart she began to ask Ankuj about the Academy. That was how they passed the three hours as they travelled to the Iwanokawa.
Before long they had finally arrived at the mountainous reigon.
