Teacher

Vincent stood alone in the crowd of Grimm, more were joining from the sides, and soon another group of Grimm from behind would be upon him, ready to take him apart.

Grimm is a creature of darkness that spawn endlessly with destruction as their instinct. That's why Remnant is a perfect place for training his vampire power, so he could get his power under control.

He made promise to Shinobu to retrieve her limbs, so sooner or later he will be facing human that steal Shinobu limbs.

The human there had no aura to act as their forcefield, so it would be bad if he used too much strength and killed them accidentally.

But it didn't mean they're weak and helpless. They're oddity specialists, human, whose profession is to deal with oddities, and vampire also included as one. So, they might have something up their sleeve to deal with vampire.

The majority of these specialist loved balance, that's why as long as Vincent doesn't randomly killing humans and oddities, he won't be hunted by the group of vampire hunters or something worse.

Vincent stopped his musing and scanned the night forest. As far as he could see, he only spotted Grimm with the same shape, though the size varies. Some had the size of a human, but with some appearing to be more than twice as large.

From his memories, these Grimm are called Beowolves, the most basic and abundant type of Grimm that roamed the land of Remnant with the shape that is similar to a werewolf but pitch black in color.

There are bone spikes in their arms and back, they also had a sharp bone claws as their main weapon and eerie red eyes beneath the bone mask.

Vincent charged into a group of Beowolf. He tightened his arms into a fist and smashed it into the first Beowolf, hitting it at the bony mask, flattening the Grimm and sending the other Grimms around him flying from the pressure.

The earth shook as trees, boulders and Grimms were uprooted from the earth.

Vincent let out a breath as he scanned the surrounding. The area around him was totally wrecked and had become a clearing, no life or unlife could be seen so far.

Suddenly a figure jumped down from the sky and landed behind him, "Vincent, that was very meanie of you, are you trying to get rid of your master?"

"If that's the extent of my master's ability then wouldn't it better for me to be the master instead?"

"On your dream!" Shinobu glared at him playfully.

"It's okay, I am not interested in master and servant's play anyway."

"Huh? what do you mean?"

"It means... I am more interested in a man and woman relationship." Vincent turned to face her and smiled, "Shinobu, why don't you become mine?"

"Wha..." Shinobu widened her eyes in surprise, she could feel the warmth of the blush as it crawled up to her face, "W-Who wants to become yours?!"

To his disbelief, Shinobu letting out her signature move against him due to her embarrassment.

"Vampire Punch!" Shinobu let out a sharp cry as she sent him flying to the air in slow-mo before landed on his back with a painful grunt.

Looking at the shattered moon in the sky, Vincent suddenly had a bad feeling. Without Araragi as her punching bag, he was pretty sure he's going to be the only one who will be tasting this move from now on...

"You two are very close."

"Really? I couldn't tell, Professor Ozpin."

Two silhouettes could be seen walking towards him and Shinobu while conversing with each other.

Vincent scrambled to his feet and turned to Glynda and Ozpin with a smile, "Aren't you two the same, I thought you both are a husband and wife."

"We're together due to the nature of our job," Ozpin replied casually. Somehow, Vincent could felt a wave of displeasure emanating from Glynda.

"How about it, have you think about our offer yet?" Ozpin asked him.

"I don't know... Fighting and violence is one thing, but I don't think I am suited for teaching." Vincent sighed.

A week had passed since they come to Remnant and his relationship with Ozpin is getting better since Ozpin has been urging him to become a teacher at Beacon. He didn't felt like doing it, that's why he has been rejecting their offers, though the old man was quite persistent.

Another good news is that his mother is getting better as the day goes by and he was told that she could wake up anytime now, so he's very relaxed right now.

Still, the Lien he got from the bounty is also started to diminish and it wouldn't be long before he needs to get more Lien to sustain both him and Shinobu comfortable lifestyle. Not to mention Shinobu was sleeping on a separate bed since the second day in remnant, depriving him of his comfortable living pillow.

"Vincent, if you become a teacher at Beacon, we will provide you... our last room, just for you and Shinobu," Ozpin whispered to Vincent, "Of course, it only has one big comfortable bed inside the room, how about it?"

"Deal! You got yourself the best teacher in the whole world, old man!" Vincent and Ozpin looking at each other meaningfully. Both have their own agenda but they also knew what the other side wants. In the end, they're both using each other to satisfy their needs and reach their goals.

"What're you two whispering about?" Shinobu narrowed her eyes at Vincent's suspicious behaviors.

"I think they're plotting something..." Glynda said with certainty.

"Hmm, very suspicious..." Shinobu agreed with Glynda's opinion.

"Erm, it's nothing suspicious, I just decided to accept Ozpin offer to be a teacher at the Beacon Academy." Vincent smiled innocently, but somehow Shinobu is only getting more suspicious at him, causing sweats to trickle down his back.

Suddenly from behind him, four dozens of monstrous Grimm were closing in, clanking their bony claws through the ground.

His savior has come!

Vincent rejoiced in his heart.

The forest near the City of Vale was not peaceful that night, the people near the border could hear painful howls of Grimm throughout the night. Sometimes they also felt the ground shaking beneath them.
