Amidst the darkness, Vincent observed the damage Dramaturgy had caused with his vampire ability by shapeshifting both of his hands into a giant blade.
It looks disturbing but also very effective and deadly.
Vincent suddenly had an urge to do the same thing as Dramaturgy, not to mention this is the perfect chance to test his ability with a live target.
But turning his hands into blade is a very unproductive thing to do. It would be a hundred times better for Vincent to ask Shinobu to lend him Kokorowatari. a two meters long blade designed to only harm oddities, as it will slide through anything else without leaving damage. By using that very blade, Shinobu was known by many as Oddity Killer. Just remembering the Kokorowatari's beautiful appearance made him dislike the idea of turning his hand into a sword even more.
So without hesitation, Vincent crossed the hand blade off from the list, other than unproductive, it could also cause him to accidentally killing his opponent if he's not careful which is not a good idea. They had no serious grudge with each other, so it's better to spare his opponent if he had the means to do so.
Then Vincent thought of shapeshifting his body into a mist-like state but leaving aside whether he can do it or not. The enemy is using a sharp weapon, it would be bad if he made a little mistake here and there during the practice and experiment. Though he won't die and will regenerate the lost limbs almost instantly, Vincent is not looking forward to the process.
Then he suddenly remembered Araragi shapeshifted his arms into plants when he fight against Guillotine Cutter. It's far from beautiful, but at least it's better than a hand sword or blade. However it can also get destroyed and a perfect target for sharp weapons, before long the plants would become mincemeat.
Vincent let out a wry smile when he discovered the hesitation floating in his heart.
So what if it's hurt?
Those who fear the pain will not go far in life.
Suddenly, Vincent's arms started to darken at visible speed, his skin hardened and turned into a pale green in color as the shape of his arms started to change into plants at surprising speed.
The plants started to grow at startling speed, it twisted and wiggled itself as it turned into self-controlling plants. Just like a snake, the plants seem to come alive as they grow and branched themselves towards the hostile enemy at high speed.
The loud noise created by the plants alarmed Dramaturgy as he turned around to find a massive amount of green rushing toward him at the same time.
With the same stern face, Dramaturgy swings his giant blades with surprising speed for his massive build, slashing the incoming plants in front of him with fervor.
The plants were cut off the moment they get close to Dramaturgy. The pieces sizzled into smoke as it dropped into the ground.
--Swish! Swish!
But the more he cut the plants, the faster it regrow and multiply. Before long it wrapped itself around him like a dumpling, with just his head untouched.
Dramaturgy roared and the plants wrapped around his hands were magically severed into multiple slices.
But much to his dismay, he could only enjoy his freedom for a second before another plants wrapped him again in tight grip.
It was an endless loop for Dramaturgy.
No matter how many times he destroyed the plants, it keeps coming back in droves.
Little by little Dramaturgy counterattack is getting slower as time went by and the time he spent as dumplings become longer and longer.
Amidst the plants and his unusually loud heartbeat, Dramaturgy could hear Vincent's voice as he complained to himself, "This move is useless, the plants are too fragile. It won't be usable in a combat, it lacks something. Let's see... I wonder how strong the impact generated by the plants when used as a bludgeoning weapon."
Dramaturgy suddenly had a bad feeling as he listened to Vincent's words. The slash of his swing was getting faster as he goes all out with a roar to get rid of the plants in haste and free himself.
But it was of no use as the regeneration of the plants is absurdly fast, and just as he was at loss of what to do, the plants withdrew themselves from his body, just to watch a massive hammer made of plants crashed into him at high speed.
-- Boom!
Dramaturgy howled as the plants hit him like a truck, sending him and the ground where he stood flying through the parking lot and destroyed two concrete pillars in the process before stopped by the innocent white van, leaving it in shambles.
Dramaturgy started to regret his choice in engaging Vincent alone on his own.
Vincent is out of his league and he had a gut feeling that Vincent is even stronger than Heart-Under-Blade herself. Dramaturgy and the two other specialists had no idea that they had faced Shinobu and win because her heart was missing, stolen by the legendary thief Meme. So they have been lucky the whole time, but it was over when Shinobu met Vincent.
Pain filled Dramaturgy's whole body, his ears ringing and his vision blurry. His regeneration is too weak and takes a long time to heal, giving Vincent a lot of time to finish him off for good.
Fear started to creep into his heart and regret filled his mind.
The fear of death made him want to surrender but only pained whine come out from his mouth.
The wound is too serious, even speaking is impossible for him. He could only imagine the countdown of his demise, trickling down like a sand-filled hourglass.
But after a few moments of despair, nothing happened to him. Dramaturgy wondered if Vincent had spared him and leave the place.
Sometimes later the regeneration stopped the ringing and it was replaced by the car alarms blaring throughout the parking lot.
It was then, amidst the car noise, Dramaturgy heard a faint mumbling of his fellow vampire, Vincent.
"Hmm... not bad, it packs quite a punch but somehow it still feels lacking..." Vincent narrowed his eyes in thought, wondering about the other moves the plants could accomplish.
"Maybe I could use it like a chain, bound the target and fling him around the place for a spin... then finish him off with a toss..." Vincent nodded thoughtfully, ignoring Dramaturgy who had his eyes open wide like an egg, ready to pop out from the socket.
"P-Please... d-don't kill... me. I... I beg y-you..." The desperation and fear of death made Dramaturgy struggle violently. Amidst the gurgling of his throat, he squeezed out a surrender with his broken voice. Pleading to Vincent to spare his life in exchange for the right leg.
Hearing the cracked voice of Dramaturgy made Vincent come out of his trance. The man looked very pitiful with tears of blood and a snot-like substance hanging on his nose.
From the start, Vincent had no intention to kill him, so even if he doesn't beg, Vincent would let him go.
Still, looks like he and Shinobu had to move from their current place soon. Even though he planned to finish the deed quickly and quietly, it ended up creating a little commotion. He was a little excited testing out his powers, Vincent scolded himself mentally.
With a sigh, Vincent walked to Dramaturgy and asked, "Where is my right leg?"
"S-spare me!" he whined.
"The leg–"
"Don't kill me!" Dramaturgy cried out fearfully while squeezing his eyes shut.
"Hey, listen to what I–"
"Please! don't–"
-- Smack
Dramaturgy moan was stopped halfway when a kick came crashing down his face, rendering him unconscious.
