'WISH STAR'

Shaheer sat in solitude, immersed deep in thoughts, until he heard a knock on his door. His sister barged in, saying, "I'm coming in!" after she entered.

"You have the honor to receive one of my 'wish stars,' Mr. Shaheer," she said, adopting a fake boss-like attitude as she handed him the star.

Ding!

[You have obtained a 'wish star'.]

'Huh?'

Ding!

[Would you like to convert the 'wish star' into experience points?]

A window opened up, similar to when he touched the skill book, with two options given: 'Yes' and 'No'.

He looked at the golden star made out of thin polystyrene sheet handed to him and mumbled 'observe.' He was already muddling through the contents of the previous notifications about the ability, unable to pinpoint his Qi. He pondered whether everything else was numbered down and, if yes, then where? Now he was witnessing another feature of his ability, which he was unable to comprehend.

[WISH STAR (Lv. 20)

A wish star created by Javeria Usui, The Gamer's sister. This star can grant a wish for the person it was created for. It can also be recycled as experience points if the gamer wishes.

NOTE: This wish star is soul-bound to The Gamer. The star will destroy itself after usage.]

'What is this sorcery, a wish? It also has a level. Is this an item?' He had never heard or seen anything like this in his whole gaming career, but it could be possible, as he had also never experienced a similar situation in a game before.

"Thank you, Jiya. I would like to keep this for a later date, if it's okay with you?"

"You can do whatever you like, but remember you need to give me the star back when you make a wish. If you lose it, then it won't be counted," Jiya said, wearing a stern look on her face.

"I know, your star is safe with me," Shaheer said, emitting a responsible aura.

"By the way, do you want snacks? Mom told me to take out the pastries from the oven after they are baked."

"Is she gone already? Isn't it a little early for her?"

"Hm, she ran away in a hurry after receiving a call. You know how it is with her," she said, shrugging her shoulders.

"I see. Then would you be kind enough to bring some pastries to my room later?"

"Sure," she said cheerfully, closing the door to leave. But suddenly, she turned back.

"Brother, could you find me a red feather? I could paint one, but the original is always better."

"It should not be a problem, but what will I get?" Shaheer said, shrugging his shoulders, mimicking Jiya's previous actions.

"Humph, I will give you two wish stars if you can bring me one. It's very rare, you know!" Jiya said, pouting.

"Nothing is too hard for your brother," Shaheer said with a carefree smile.

"Okay, we'll see," she grinned before closing the door and walking downstairs.

"Hmm, she really loves crafting. I wish she could pursue her dreams in the future, just like now," Shaheer said with a hint of pride in his voice.

However, as soon as these words came out, the golden star in his hand started glowing.

Ding!

[You have used a wish star.]

Ding!

[Due to the level of the wish star being too low for a grand-scale wish, the possibility of 'Javeria Usui' pursuing her dreams has increased.]

Soon, the star in his hand turned into particles and started vanishing into thin air.

Ding!

[The wish star destroyed itself.]

Once again, Shaheer wore an unusual surprise on his face. This ability never failed to amaze him time and time again. However, little did he know that he had merely scratched the surface of the additional features his ability provided.

He wasn't too focused on finding the limits of his ability now. He had started to enjoy the feeling of stumbling upon these features by chance and being startled in the process. It was a new sensation for him, and he wanted to savor it.

A genuine smile graced his lips—a smile too powerful to be witnessed by the outside world. It seemed as though even time itself paused to witness this beautiful scene. He thought about his sister and her future. Whatever path she chose, he would wholeheartedly support her, knowing that everyone had the right to shape their own destiny. He had no regrets about the wish he made, as it would bring happiness to his sister in the future, and he would ensure that.
