When the pilot made his announcements that they will start their descent soon, Lina looked up from her script book.
"Nana, come back to your seat now." She heard Henry call out to her as he stood up from his seat.
After their meal, Lina moved next to Jenny and together with John, Sam and even Wang they discussed her upcoming schedules and projects. And then after that, she started memorizing her lines. While Henry went back on his documents already laid out on the table in front of him when she woke up. They will be flying to her home in Novaly, the city of stars, on Monday morning and Henry will head straight to Europe for a conference. She will be back to work on Tuesday morning already.
She got up after giving her script book to Jenny and went back to her seat buckling in her seat-belt as Henry organized his papers and replaced the laptop back to his bag. And not long after that, they have reached the airport's runway, the plane slowing down and stopped.
Henry stood up when the door was opened, he took his backpack and slung it behind one shoulder and grabbed Lina hands with his free hand. Lina is used to his routine now.
They were near the door when Jenny gave Lina her bag, "Here you go, I put the script book in there too."
"Thanks. Let's go." She told Jenny, but Jenny just smiled and waved as she walked down the stairs with Henry. When she reached the ground to look back, she realized that John and Sam are also still inside and didn't come down with Jenny.
The immigration officer was waiting for them downstairs, Henry handed over both their passports to be checked, she didn't even know he had it, usually John or Sam takes care of it. But Wang and the rest of his security were already down there with them, loading the 2 black cars waiting for them with their bags from the plane.
Laughing at her puzzled face, Sam called down, "We'll see you on Monday cutie. We can't join you on your honeymoon, obviously." Waving at her before they went back in. It's only another 2 hours flight to Novaly so they were heading straight there tonight as Henry had informed her of.
Henry guided her towards the car closest to them and opened the door for her and then went around to sit on her other side.
Except for the spaced street lights, Kulu is dark at night so you can actually see the stars from here.
She suddenly had a weird craving for cinnamon rolls but buying that at this time of the night in Kulu is hard unless the hotel has it.
"Which hotel are we staying at?" she asked her husband seating next to her on a dark car.
"We're staying at my grandparents' house. Its Grandpa's gift to Grandma when he was able to afford it, just in time for their 10th wedding anniversary." Henry replied.
"Oh that's nice." She replied with a little less enthusiasm than she wanted.
"Why? Do you want to stay in a hotel?" Henry immediately asked.
"No, I don't mind staying anywhere. I'm just craving for cinnamon buns but that will be hard to buy here especially at this time."
"We can ask Wang to look for it." Henry suggested.
Then Lina had an idea, "Or, if we have the ingredients in the house, I can make it!"
"Well, the caretaker would have stocked the house with fresh produce but I'm not sure about baking products." He tells her after some thought followed by, "Wang, let's stop by a supermarket."
At Wang's affirmation from the front seat of the car, Lina started listing the ingredients she will need for her recipe in her mind, hoping not to forget anything. Feeling excited with the thought of satisfying her craving.
Wang, Henry and Lina made their way inside the supermarket they have stopped by. It's considered a late-night supermarket and its quite a decent size. From the shot distance Lina walked from the car to the supermarket, she already fully felt the warm weather outside. Even her lightweight sweater and jeans felt too warm. She wondered what Jenny packed for her. Usually, she lets Jenny arrange for what she's going to pack whenever they travel. Since Jenny knows her schedule more than she does anyway. She wouldn't be able to shoot movies and dramas back-to-back or sometimes even at the same time without the efficiency of her team. She would have never reached her fame and status without the people taking care of her. The downside to that is, she's used to have people taking care of those things for her that she didn't even think about it this time.
Inside the supermarket, the lanes are empty except for the two staff by the check-out counter, chatting in their language. Lina just followed Henry in, and behind them is Wang.
"Okay, what do you need?" Henry stopped and looked at the shelves containing baking products and similar items. Good thing she craved cinnamon buns, the ingredients or that are fairly easy to find. She grabbed what she needed, thankfully all are available in the baking products aisle. Wang took all of it from her to put into the basket he's holding. They also grabbed additional butter and milk in case the house doesn't have enough.
As Henry and Lina made their way back to the car, Wang was going to make the payments for their purchase, she can't help but look around the store and saw some sauces and mixes that made her think of all sorts of food suddenly.
"Oh let's get this, it's going to be good with vegetable. And this, in case there's fish. And this too." Lina went on and on until Wang's basket is full.
" I think we got enough," Henry told her as she went to look around some more.
"Yeah, I think so." She laughingly agreed as she saw their basket, and together they headed straight into the car to wait for Wang before heading home.
The supermarket is about 20 minutes' drive away from the house. They passed by the luxury hotels lined up along the coast line of the island, after 10 min from the hotel cluster the car slowed down and entered a small paved road towards a lit cluster of trees. From the main road, especially at night, it's hard to notice the house within the trees.
The gate opened up to make way towards a kota stone driveway and garage, showing a very Mediterranean inspired style double storey house. It looks so cosy and relaxing, just like how a beach house should be. When they fully stopped, Lina got out of the car and waited for Henry by the front door, it is their house after all.
"Ready?" Henry asked her.
"To go in? Yeah." Lina responded.
Lina was just a little surprised that Henry carried her like the bride that she still is and carried her over the threshold of the front door.
"We rushed in towards the house last night, so I couldn't do this then. So I'm making up to it now." Henry said as he walked inside the high ceiling-ed, open layout foyer, living room, dining and kitchen.
"Ah, I guess so. You can put me down." she said when they reached the stairs.
"I will bring you straight into our bed, wife." Henry said as she kissed the tip of her nose.
