Sleep with me

When the car stopped in front of her doors, Wang opened the door for Henry.

"Do you want to walk?" Henry asked Lina who nodded. Henry scooped her out of the car and gently placed her down. Lina is happy with the small act of walking towards her house.

When they got to the living room, there's a man seated there drinking tea who stood up when he saw them approach.

"Henry, long time."

"Hello Dr Jin." Henry greeted. Lina looked towards him, there's another Dr Jin.

"Say hello Lina, this is Dr Jin. He will be your new doctor in Novaly."

"Hello doctor." Lina politely greeted him despite her shock and questions. "Just how many Dr Jin's are there that you know?" Lina asked Henry

This made both men laugh.

"Actually, the Dr Jin from Miresa is my uncle. I am also a doctor but based here in Novaly."

Lina nodded her understanding as she sat down, helped by Henry. Wang handed a few big envelopes to Dr Jin.

Dr Jin opened the smallest first and it turned out to be Lina's medical records. Next, he took out her scan reports.

"I have actually spoken to her doctors already and what they have said correlates to the results of her tests." Dr Jin said after a few minutes. "For now, she needs rest and to care for her arm properly. I have set for a therapist in Miresa that will be best to help her while recuperating."

"Female?" Henry asked

Dr Jin chuckled, "I'm not crazy Henry." The doctor said while nodding his head.

"So how soon can we go home?" Henry asked what he's been itching to know as soon as he arrived.

"You need to give her at least 2 days to rest. I will be back in 2 days to check her, if all is fine, you can go the next day."

Henry nodded his head. "Why don't you stay for lunch?"

"I can't. It's my clinic day today. I have to head out." And Dr Jin said goodbye.

"I want to shower first." Lina told Henry as they walked up to her room, their room now.

"Okay, I'll help you." Henry said as they headed to the ensuite bathroom.

"Huh? No, you can't."

"Yeah, I can do, it's easy." Henry said with a teasing glint in his eyes. As they reached the bathroom.

Henry sat her down on the closed toilet seat and said, "Don't move, wait for Josie." And left her there.

When Lina was done with the quick shower, she felt so much better that she's thoroughly clean and fresh. But she also feels a little lightheaded with the effort it took. She sat down on the pouf chair in her walk in closet before Josie can help her with her sling.

She's wearing another pajama dress that buttons in front to accommodate the arm she can't raise up. Josie just went out to take a dry sling but it was Henry that came in.

"Tired?" Lina can just nod.

Henry carried her, careful of her arm that has not been secured on the sling yet and placed her down on the sofa in her room. Henry and Josie then carefully placed her arm back on the sling.

The medicine's effect has worn off so her wounds and bruises are now throbbing in pain. Good thing Henry was there with food already since she can't take any of the medicine on an empty stomach.

"We're going to try soft food that isn't soup now." He informed Lina

Offering soft rice mixed with pumpkin mush and side of stir fried vegetables and meat mince. Lina happily ate. Feeling like a normal person again. But rushing so she can drink her medicine, the pain is getting stronger.

As he offered another bite, Henry softly said, "I'm sorry."

"For what?" Lina asked him, confused.

"Just because." Henry said as he helped Lina with the last bite. And then gave her the prescribed medicine to take.

"I'll shower and get changed first."

Lina doesn't like how defeated Henry looked like, apologizing to her. like that She's used to him being confident, sure of himself, even his border line cockiness is preferable over this attitude of his.

As Lina feels the medicine taking effect, making her sleepy and a bit out of it, Henry came out of the bathroom.

"I'm sleepy." Lina tells him as she enjoyed looking at him so openly. Henry was dressed in black trainer pants and a plain white shirt.

"Carry me to bed, please?" Lina asked as he got near her.

"Yes madam. Let's get you to bed." Henry said with a soft laughter.

When Lina was comfortably in bed, she reached out her left arm to Henry.

"What?" Henry asked.

"Sleep with me." Lina said while yawning, her mouth wide open.

"You need to rest. I have to talk to Wang first."

"I won't rest if you don't sleep with me." Lina stubbornly said and moved to sit down, which is still difficult for her to do.

"Okay, okay. Let's nap." Henry said before she can sit down. "I will remind you of this request in the future." Henry whispered as he lied down next to her and after a few minutes both of them fell asleep, Henry holding Lina's hand.
