"Let me go." Freya said calmly, but inside, she was very angry.
Dr. David laughed a bone chilling laugh, "Oh, Freya. I would never let you go, now that I finally got y-"
She lifted her right leg and kneed him in the crotch, he flinched and loosened his grip, but didn't release her. He groaned, "You're going to have to try hard-"
She acted quickly and slammed her head against his nose, his head reeled back, and he immediately let her go bringing his hands to cup his nose as blood flowed out. He groaned and grunted looking enraged.
She stomped on his foot and ran to her car that she saw was coming into the parking lot at that moment. She held out a hand for Ted to stop, he stopped and she opened the back seat door and jumped in. "Go!"
As Ted saw Dr. David following behind her with a bleeding nose, he put the car in reverse and drove out of the parking lot. She took a glance behind them through the back glass to see Dr. David standing there with his hands closed into fists.
"Don't tell Luke about this."
He nodded glancing at her before moving his glance back on the road. She would have talked to Lydia to stop Dr. David from coming in, but Lydia was working with them. That means, she would need Ted to be around her more than she thought.
It was the next day, and she had called Ted to come pick up her and Gwen from work early so that they would go and meet Nick Carter's wife, Zoe Nicholas.
"What? Dr. David attacked you?!" Gwen exclaimed and Ted glanced at her through the rearview mirror.
"Yes, but please don't tell Luke. I don't want to tell him yet, but I will later." She said and waited for Gwen's response.
"Alright, I understand. When can we open a case against them since we have evidence against Clara now?"
"We need our own people in the police and government if we even want to open a case against them because they can easily have it closed down."
"That's true, but where do we start?"
"I've talked to Seth about the police and we'll go from there."
Gwen nodded as Ted parked the car at Nick Carter's driveway. They hadn't called Zoe to tell her that they were coming because Nick was against it, and they made sure that Nick was at work according to Mathew when they came.
Ted stayed in the car while they both climbed out of the car and walked up to the front door. Gwen knocked and Zoe opened the door almost immediately. She looked at them with surprise on her face, "Hello, Gwen and friend, what brings you here?"
"Hello, Mrs. Nicholas, can you spare us some of your time?" Gwen said and Zoe smiled brightly.
"Of course, come in." They walked into the house and followed Zoe to the living room.
She sat on the recliner while they both sat on the couch. "This is Freya Jacob, my partner for our current case and my brother's fiancee."
"Hello, Freya. Nice to meet you, and do you mean you are Luke's fiancee?"
"Yes, it's nice to meet you too."
"That's great, I always thought he and Percy will end up together, but poor thing died too soon. Bless her soul."
Freya looked uncomfortable since it seemed like Zoe was insinuating that Percy matched Luke more than she did. Zoe noticed this and jumped to correct herself looking flustered, "Oh my, I don't mean it like that. I'm sure you and Luke are a great couple."
Freya saw that Zoe wasn't trying to offend her, but misspoke what she meant. "I understand what you mean, and we're actually here to talk to you about Percy."
"Is that so? What is it you want to talk about?"
"What do you know about her? Her relationships?" Gwen asked and Zoe didn't need to think to answer them.
"I know that she was a sweet girl, and the daughter of Nathan Brady. She would come and greet us here whenever she has time."
Freya felt bad for Zoe because she was praising her husband's whore and she had no idea that her husband was cheating on her. She wanted to tell her the truth, but she couldn't because she knew that Zoe wouldn't believe her. Zoe would believe what Nick told her over what she told her since they were closer.
"That was nice of her. What else do you know about her?" Freya said feeling pity for Zoe and Gwen looked to be feeling that way too.
"Well, I hardly talk much with her, and our sons are 10 year old twin boys, so she doesn't spend much time here. But I know that she spends a lot of time with our neighbor down the street and her friend, Nina."
"Alright, Mrs. Nicholas, thank you for your time." Gwen said as she and Freya stood up.
"It was my pleasure, good luck on your case." She waved at them at the door as they made their way back to the car and got in.
Ted started the car and they got on the road to Gwen's house. "What about Cathy? I know she's a suspect, but it can't be her."
"Yeah, I know she didn't do it. She just got out of jail and we've already established she's not capable of murder." Freya answered Gwen.
"I didn't tell James she's a suspect in this case so that he won't worry."
"That's for the best, how are you guys doing anyway? You've been going on dates?" Freya asked with a teasing smile.
"Yeah, and he seems to always be around me, so I would say it's going great." Gwen answered grinning, it was obvious she really liked him.
"Okay, back to work. What about Mathew?" Gwen suggested as she realized they were almost at her neighborhood.
"Let's rule him out too, he helped us to expose Nora Thorn and free Cathy." She said then opened her bag and brought out her work notepad. She flipped it to the page she scribbled down the suspects' names and what they found out from them, she canceled Mathew and Cathy's names.
"I agree." Gwen said just before they stopped at her house. "Bye, we'll talk tomorrow."
"Bye." Freya said as Gwen climbed out of the car and made her way to her house.
Ted drove away to go back to Luke's mansion and they arrived in no time. She got out of the car, and Ted handed her keys after getting out of the car too. Freya made her way to the door and used the key Luke gave her to open the door and go in.
She looked around the mansion and didn't see Luke, so she walked to the door that led to the outdoor area and went in. She saw a large swimming pool there with lounge chairs and umbrellas. Luke had told her that he has a swimming pool, but she has never went there.
She saw something moving inside the swimming pool. As she walked closer to it to get a closer look, Luke rose up from the water at the edge of the swimming pool.
He slid his hair back with one hand as his gaze locked on her while she couldn't take her eyes off of him. He was wearing only swimming trunks and his upper body was in full view.
His toned chest and abs looked enticing with water drops rolling off of them, and his shoulders and arms looked muscular and lean. They looked inviting. His eyes were dark and they drew her in as they stood there staring at each other.
He climbed out from the pool and approached her, all the while holding her gaze. He took her chin in his right hand to keep their gaze locked and murmured, "Do you like what you see, baby?"
She blushed, but didn't reply him. She was speechless. He leaned closer to her and moved his hand to her cheek to caress it, "You don't have to answer, I already know the answer."
He traced her lower lip with his thumb and curled his perfect lips into a smile. Her breath hitched as her heart started beating faster, her gaze fell to his lips and his dark brown eyes grow heated and became even darker. He removed his hand from her face and walked past her like nothing happened.
She turned around to watch him walk back into the house, trying to calm the butterflies fluttering in her stomach. He knew she liked what she saw and knew how to tease her.
Freya and Gwen have decided to meet with Nina at the park to talk about Percy. What she knew about her, who could have murdered her and anything she could tell them. She was currently sitting at the park's bench with the two of them.
"Nina, what can you tell us about Percy that can help us find her murderer and prove Finn not guilty?" She asked while sitting in between them on the bench.
"I don't care about Finn, he has always been a jerk, but I want to find out who murdered her so that he will be given his punishment." Nina said in a firm tone and Gwen nodded.
"Alright, what do you know?" Freya asked and brought out her notepad.
"She told me that a man started talking to her on Instagram asking for nudes, and it was like he was stalking her."
