The story of Sun

2030, Japan

High School A

The young man looked at a piece of paper on his desk.

'future .. I'm only 16 years old. What's the use of finding out what I want in the future '

He put the paper into his black gakuran's pocket.

"hey gaku. Let's go to the canteen" he called his friend who was sitting right in front of him.

"You go ahead, I'm still filling out this questionnaire." he answered without even a slight glance

"Hahahaha ... Why so complicated. Just fill in as you want. It's not necessarily anyway." he said nonchalantly.

Hearing his friend's words, Gaku turned towards him

"Makoto, what do you want to achieve?" the question made the young man laugh.

"HAHAHAHHA ... do you still believe in the name of an obscure dream as that thing?" In the dictionary of Tachikawa Makoto there is no such thing as a future dream. He was tired of seeing someone who was crushed just by chasing after something that was uncertain.

"Makoto, do you really have no ideals at all?" he asked again but this time he didn't stop there

"I remember when you were little you always said you wanted to be a firefighter"

"Yes ... Yes ... Yes ... I remember. Astronauts, firefighters, police officers, doctors, and superheroes ..." he said mockingly.

"But it's only a childhood dream and it won't be fulfilled anyway" he continued again.

Makoto's words made Gaku aware of the consequences of the conversation. Secrets and old wounds that never disappear and always haunt his best friend.

.....

Along the way back, Makoto was not normally cheerful. He just silently heard his friend's talking. Gaku looked towards Makoto,

"Makoto ... Are you still mad at me?"

"I'm not angry," he replied.

"Then why are you not saying anything like this?"

Makoto returned Gaku's stare

"I'm just tired and hungry. So shut up, you know that if I'm hungry I could eat anything and maybe i will eat you too," Makoto said in an exaggerated manner.

"aaahh .. You are so annoying. It's okay to eat me, but that is if you dare. We'll see who will be eaten first"

Gaku pretended to attack by raising both hands and ran after Makoto.

The two teenagers were running around laughing. And partway in the section and back to their own home.

.....

As soon as he come home, his smile faded.

He strode along the way to his room and put the bag in the usual place.

Makoto opened his desk drawer, he reached for a photo that was worn and stained with dark brown thing.

He still remembers the day when his once peaceful life turned into a nightmare.

He put away the picture and lay down in his bed.

BRAAAAKK !!! BAAAAM! BAAAMM !! BAAAMMM !!!

A noise came from outside his room

"Is he awake again?"

He immediately walked out of the room and saw a figure he rarely saw.

"Father," he called

"Are you hungry? Let me .."

PLAAKKK !! The sound of the slap severed his words. He can feel blood in his mouth.

"YOU EVIL BEINGS!! I HOPE I DON'T HAVE A CHILD LIKE YOU !! KILLER !!" his father shouted and threw whatever was near him.

Makoto sighed heavily, he knew that denying or fighting his father when he was in this state, would only make things worse. He decided to return to his room, leaving his hysterical father alone.

.....

15 minutes later his house was quiet again.

In the middle of the room he saw his father asleep while hugging a picture frame that was previously on the altar table.

"Father, would it be better if I just died that day?" a tear fell right into his father's face.

Makoto removed the frame from his father's arms, and put it back on the altar table. He carried his father back to his room.

"this time what are you dreaming about"

he tidied the blanket then go out.

...

"Promise with mother. You will take care and look after your father. This is not his fault"

"Dad will definitely get better. So just hold on a little more, everything will be okay."

"forgive your mother"

"I love you."

"don't forget your promise"

He woke up with sweat soaking all over his body.

Since that day, he has never had a peaceful sleep.

"mother..."

He put his hand over his eyes.

His head aches and throbbing, but he ignored it.

"When will all this end, how much longer do I have to endure." he murmured and lookat the ceiling on his room in silence.

The memory of that day keeps repeating in his mind, the day he lost someone who was precious to him.

.....

SUPERVISION AND MANAGEMENT ORGANIZATIONS (SAMO)

Japan division

Quick steps could be heard along the hallway, they headed for the room of a patient whose condition was suddenly got worse.

"Do we need to inform the family, professor Ishida?" asked a nurse with short hair

"Mrs. Tachikawa's vital signs are getting weaker" another nurse's voice rang out.

"Professor, we should immediately inform Mrs. Tachikawa's family. I'm afraid she can't hold on anymore," the short-haired nurse said again.

The old man who just listened finally said

"Contact Mrs. Tachikawa's family," Professor Ishida turned around and walked out of the room.

He ran along the corridor of the magnificent government building.

His Gakuran was usually buttoned neatly, but now it was a mess.

He stood In front of the white sliding door, fear froze his body.

He raised his hand, heavy as an crusty robot hand.

'Everything will be alright,'

He ventured and moved the door.

He walked towards the woman who was lying with various tools to support her life.

Her face was beautiful and toned, with a rather brown skin color burned by the sun and long black hair passed in his mind.

He no longer saw the appearance he once remembered.

Her hair turned white and thinned, with pale skin. He gripped the weak little hand who was helpless

"Mother, It's me. Sorry for coming so late." he put the hand in his cheek, cold.

"Mother, when did you wake up? I was very worried when I got the call earlier." tears fell and his voice was hoarse.

"Do you know, yesterday father woke up. And we ate together. You know that I always keep my promises, so you also have to keep your promises." he said with tears flowing down his cheeks.

He kissed his mother's palm, he was willing to exchange everything he had if he could return to the past.

The period where he and his family are still together.

"Tachikawa Mamoru-san, can you talk for a while" the voice of an old man could be heard behind him.

He wiped his tears and moved towards the man.

"Professor Ishida, what do you want to talk about?"

The old man turned his gaze to the woman who lay helpless and looked back.

"The result of the examination of Ms. Tachikawa is very worrying, I hope you can start preparing for the worst-case"

Professor Ishida then explained about the worst possibilities that could happen at any time.

He sat back and pondered all the possibilities he had just heard.

'God, I don't ask for much. Please do not take any more precious person from me' he prayed in silence.

The day is getting late, and the visit time will soon be over. He stood up and kissed his mother's cheek before returning to his house.

....

Silent, a house that used to be full of jokes and laughter with cooking aroma that always greeted him when he returned from his routine.

"I am home"

He entered and turned on the light of his house, in a tired manner he walked into the first room and sat in front of the altar, crying silently.
