Chapter 4:

Xian was sitting in his room meditating. The idea was cute and all but how the fuck was he supposed to do that. Especially in this world, since even if he makes research on it, he most likely won't find anything because the medical science of this world, despite being able to make someone grow an arm back, is actually terrible. The reason is simple, it's because instead of trying to understand how the body function and what cause it to heal and wishing to find way to help the healing process, in this world its all about finding the magical ingredient that cures everything. If I had to make a comparison in the other world it would be the difference between alchemist and modern chemist. While alchemist where searching for a solution to solve every problem, chemist analyze the problems they face and the elements that compose matter in order to understand it and… we all know which way gave better results.

Right now, I need to focus and try to understand has much as I can how meridians function. Because I know I can probably implant them through surgery, but I have no idea how normal meridians are in the body. Plus, they're no guarantee that any type of meridians would works, just like blood type there's probably a similar thing going on. Normally, this kind of thing would take years to discover and a lot of corpses and samples but sadly right now I lack both. However, in this world my mind and body are in perfect fusion I only need to concentrate on my meridians to feel them and see how they are place and link with the rest of my organs using that capacity I can try to identify how it function.

After about 5 hours of going over every connections his meridians share with his muscles, bones, veins and other organs, Xian got a more profound idea on how Qi gets distributed in his body. Sadly, this wasn't enough information to go around implanting meridians in people. What he needed now was reference points and practice. Aware that from this moment he probably wouldn't get any sleep for the month Xian rush through his belonging to get beans of gold and silver. Pay no attention to the names like always their edgy for no good reason, the name only refers to the color of the bean it's not made out of metal. The particularity of this bean is that if someone let it melt in his mouth it can give this person enough energy to concentrate for days. Most people, discarded this fruit as useless because it has no real use in combat since it doesn't really give energy its only keeps you running like a coffee bean but on crack.

Anyway, Xian pick up his beans and dash out not losing an instant to go practice on spiritual beast, just hunting them will take time. Then it will be a matter of how well he can extract meridians and kept them intact. Shortly after he got through the procedure to exit the sect and got in the mountains, Xian search for trace of mountain samurai monkey as he figured their meridians were probably the most similar to the one humans have. Lucky for him this species hunts in group and usually marked their territory by slashing trees and rock with their katana like tail, their cultivation his generally pretty low around the realm of growth which for him isn't difficult to deal with but they follow a leader that should be around the lower stage of the earth realm; so, capturing them all alive might be annoying. In order to upgrade his chances of success our little master started to setup trap for those monkey fellas. That race is known for three things: one their katana like tail, two their incredible loyalty to their kin and last their particular care of the surreal pink tree. Hence, Xian set the traps array in the surrounding of some of those trees that look like normal cherry tree except that they are ever blooming. When Xian finished, it was already night so he decided to find an area where he could survey his hunting ground safely. Without too much care about the safety part Xian roam around the high tree to find a big branch giving great vision of his trap and laid down on it, waiting for his prey.

The night was boring nothing seem to move and Xian heart and mind was tired of all that had happened in so little time after he came out of the cave, all the emotions he felt when he saw his mom in this state were overbearing but now that he had hope he wasn't gonna let it go but that didn't mean he wasn't exhausted, his head started to doze off. At this point he took his first bean it was probably going to last for 2 days, only 5 left. Despite the drug the night felt eternal, it seems the emotional turmoil he was going through was taking a bigger toll on him than he expected and since he doesn't have time to lose he just took the rest in one shot. The effect was immediate, his brain was more alert, his vision was clear, and he was set for the night watch and everything that was about to come in the following week. Or so he thought, after few hours into the night Xian had learned a lesson, no matter the world you're in, taking more than the recommended dose doesn't mean a better effect; he felt nauseous, very nauseous. At least, this nausea was helping him stay awake and was only going to hinder his movement a bit. After about an hour of suffering, Xian started to sweat all over, but he wasn't hot on the contrary his entire body was shivering. Furthermore, every breath had the taste of pink and his tongue could taste his own mouth. Of course, his vision wasn't left aside, every time his sight moves just an inch off the pink trees, the image seem to fade in the next as if his eye were doing a slideshow with shitty movie maker effect.

Oh god, this isn't the time to be tripping on drug, fuck. Right now, I'm not even sure I can fight the boss monkey if he appears, shit, what a rookie mistake. Ah whatever, no risk no gain, I am not backing up now.

Xian stood up to exercise a bit and took a deep breath.

- "Alright, I don't care what's coming, ah-Ha, I will take it on, I am no coward. ALRIGHT, I'M PUMPED."

Who cares if he was hallucinating and shaking Xian is a cultivator, the best at that, it wasn't some drug that was going to stop him from focusing on his task. His eyes kept their gaze on those trees like it was the prettiest woman and the more he looks the more he could see every little detail in the leaves: the texture look soft, they were little hair covering it almost invisible since they are the same color as the leaf they are on. Without moving his gaze his eyes concentrated on what he was seeing and zoomed on his target, he started to see the little veins of the leaf and deeper he saw line running along the veins reaching every corner… what are those?

- "Nikeys?" he memed to himself.

As he thought about what he just saw the sun started going up revealing the reflection of the light on the leaves, a bright pink was lighting up the surrounding, it was beautiful and in the air he could smell the fresh current roam the morning forest… what an amazing moment. Suddenly, Xian got bring back to reality when he heard monkey sounds. Hoping for them to be samurai monkeys he jumped towards the sound immediately. However, in his excitement he missed the branch with his foot and slip belly first on the one below letting out a muttered ouch. Quickly standing back up he look left and right making sure nobody saw him and looking a little bit embarrassed he continue running toward the monkey noises.
