Chapter 13:

It's with a terrible headache and spunky bed hair that Wu Chi painfully sat down on the bed; he had absolutely no idea how he got on that bed but that wasn't his first hangover, it didn't take too long before he abandoned the idea of remembering what he did last night. As his hand stumble in the dark of the room he touched something..

- "Humm?"

Wu Chi jumped, surprised by that, he turned around to see Kan who, very casually sat down on the other side of the bed and dropped a pretty dry:

- "Hi."

As Wu Chi stayed still, confuse, Kan stood up completely naked without any sense of shame for his body and slowly started putting his clothes back on. Once he had finished he looked at Wu Chi who clearly wanted to ask but wasn't sure he wanted to know. However, Kan was used to this, so he said:

- "We had sex."

- "Euh, ha-ha, no… You're, you're kidding right?"

As always Kan ignore his conversation partner as he was busy placing his hair in front of the mirror. Kan had a smile on his face, he loved this sensation: being in power.

- "Hey, instead of being in denial like that you should be thanking me!"

Wu Chi snap, in a flash he grab Kan's collar and rammed him into the wall.

- "YOU, disgusting piece of shit, you took advantage of me!"

- "Disgusting? What is? If anything, you should be disgusted about, it's your weakness, it's not my fault you were that easy to P.L.U.C.K."

Wu Chi was visibly repulsed by the way and use that Kan made of the word pluck. Having the attention of Wu Chi Kan kept going.

- "Plus, like I said, you should be thanking me."

- "Thanking you? FOR WHAT!"

- "I have one of the rarest body type a man can have: a full Yin body. Not only is a full Yin body type extremely beneficial for dual cultivation with any sort of Yan body, since mine is also masculine the synergy is so good the cultivation speed is amplified three times fold. Look at your cultivation you're now a tier higher."

For one, Wu Chi was suspicious of this and for two, he wasn't sure how to feel about this, it's not like what Kan said was wrong, it was his fault for letting it happen but at the same time it didn't change how he feel about being taken advantage of. For a second it look like he was releasing Kan from his grip but in one instant Wu Chi smash his fist in the wall right next to Kan's head creating a massive hole which lead to the next room, gratefully nobody seem to be in it.

- "See, I told you, you're stronger you can't even control your strength correctly."

To that Wu Chi spit on his face and left the room picking a shirt on the way.

- "Jerk." - added Kan.

Upon coming down to the living room, the other four were waiting at a table they all turned around to stare mischievously at Wu Chi. It's Luluo that greeted him first.

- "So, how was last night?"

- "… You piece of shit, you fucking knew about this and didn't do anything!"

Wu Chi approach the group menacingly and dropped his hand on the table right in front of Luluo.

- "Whoa back off a bit you're a too close. My heart is not ready yet Wu Chi." – joke around Luluo

- "You think this is funny?!"

- "Hey, calm down why are you so mad about it? You looked pretty into it last night."

- "What?"

- "Yeah Kan was telling you all about the goods of his yin body and you were telling us how hard the path of cultivation is and only the ones that take each opportunity presented to them will truly become immortal."

Wu Chi was starting to vaguely remember something like that as he was holding his head and making a face that pretty much means: oh no...

- "And then Kan was like: you know~ I have something else that's even harder than the cultivation path. And you were like: OH, why don't you show me."

Unexpectedly, Marianna giggle at that as she recall all of it. Luluo was happy he said something that made her laugh. But, just as Wu Chi was about to retort something he got interrupted by Chang Fu.

- "Alright, now that Kan is here let's start talking about the hunt.

- "Hi everyone!" – he said in his usual/cheerful tone

Wu Chi snapped his tongue but sat down at the table with everyone, the faster they finished with the hunt the faster he will be away from Kan.

- "Alright, we need to know what everyone's cultivation level and techniques to make our battle formation accordingly. A poisonous emerald boa isn't the greatest foe for our group, since it's around the middle of the heaven realm but we shouldn't take unnecessary risk." – said Chang Fu

- "Ok, I would like to start by saying that since last night I am now at the peak of the earth realm and so should this big guy over there." – pointed Kan at Wu Chi.

- "No, I'm now at the heaven realm."

Luluo let out a whistle definitely impress by that. Of course, Kan had to add.

- "Whoa, I must have been really good last night~."

- "YOU, you better watch your back!"

- "Ahh, I'm sorry but the second night will cost you~." – he said, elegantly placing his hair behind his ear.

- "Pfft.."

Luluo tried to hold in his laughter but definitely couldn't, knowing that his best friend just had sex with a man was just too much, so he hid his head behind his arms on the table; like that made it better. Chu Chen that had been left out of the conversation all this time was pestering Luluo about what was supposed to be funny. In response, he gave him a pat on the head.

- "Innocent little boy, I wish you to stay happy like this forever."

- "What, we're the same age stop patronizing me!"

- "Enough! Do I need to remind you that the grand patriarch instruct us of protecting the little miss we can't afford to be uncooperative." – interrupted Chang Fu.

Immediately, all the members of the sect swallowed their saliva and Marianna bit her lips, anxious.

- "This is the Strength of God sect that we are talking about we can't afford to fail." – he added.

The atmosphere had change on a dime everyone was now a lot more attentive. As for the two mercenaries they were curious about what those guys feared so much but with a quick glance to one another they decided not to ask, they are some stuffs in this world you are better off not knowing. Besides, they did come to hunt some boa not joke around.

- "Alright, let's start from the beginning my name is Chang Fu and I am at the middle of the earth realm. My specialty is defense, so I believe I'm the better choice for the front-line."

- "My name is Chu Chen I am an array specialist and I am at the middle of the earth realm, but you can't judge my strength like that because with arrays I can capture beast up to the peak of the heaven realm!"

- "I am Kan also an array specialist now at the peak of the earth realm I can also manage some sword techniques."

- "Wu Chi I beat stuff with my fist, heaven realm."

- "My name is Luluo and all my techniques are based around stealth since I'm a scout and…

Kind of reluctant to say it out loud he added:

- "I'm at the bottom of the earth realm."

No one really mind however, so they continued.

- "I am called Marianna Yuu, Yuusha and, and I specialize at the spear my most favorable position would be in the center to deal the last blow. I am at the bottom of the hh, heavenly realm."

- "Ok, I think the strategy we'll use is pretty much self-explanatory: Luluo will go find the boa while Kan and Chu Chen will set up an array that can paralyze it. Once Luluo find the boa he will bring it back to us, Wu Chi and myself will take care of it and lead right into the array and finally the miss will deal the final blow. Is that alright with everyone?"

The plan seem solid, so everyone nodded in approval. Since the atmosphere had took a more serious tone they didn't lose a second while leaving for the forest in the north. Besides, the longer they stayed at the hotel the more chances the wall Wu Chi broke was going to get discover and neither him or Kan wanted to pay for it.

They walked for a while, mostly in silence with Chang Fu in the front, Wu Chi closing the march and Luluo scouting ahead. It was about the middle of the evening when they finally found some traces of the boa territory deep in the forest. According to the plan both Kan and Chu Chen started setting up the immobilizing electrical paralysis array. Meanwhile, Luluo jump from shadow to shadow deeper in the forest to uncover the exact location of their prey. Earlier, he presented himself as a scout but in reality he's an assassin. The true strength of an assassin comes from its speed but really it's his overall awareness of its surrounding that truly make the difference between the pros and the amateurs. Luluo put his hands behind his ear and close his eyes, with a calculated breathing he was able to extend his consciousness beyond is five senses. Slowly, the sensation of the wind blended along the trees on the ground the leaves were getting walk on by small insects and reptiles running around in every direction, his senses were picking any sort of small movements...

- "HOLY FUCK its right there!" - he blurted out accidentally.

Two shiny red eyes were spying on him with a body of about seven meters long and one of diameter it begin to charge its attack. In an instant, it leap forward presenting four gigantic fangs, Luluo did not take the time to give his salutation back, he bounce out of there without a thought which left the boa to take a massive bite out of the tree he was hiding behind as if it was just a potato chip.

- "Shit, shit, shit."

Our assassin was running as fast as he could without looking back, the beast was doing the same slithering among the trees and rock with incredible speed despite its massive size. Thankfully, the group wasn't so far away and it's panting like crazy that he yelled:

- "I HOPE YOU GUYS ARE READY BECAUSE I'M BRINGING IN THE MEAT."

Immediately, Wu Chi got on his feet and Chang Fu readied his shield.

- "How far done are you guys with the array?" – ask Marianna.

- "Uh… about 80%."

- "Alright let's do this!" – she replied.

Chang Fu began running towards the snake, seeing this, the boa also changed target and they both rammed into one another resulting in a magnificent bong from the shield vibration. Since the boa had so much momentum it won the duel sending their front-liner flying into the air. However, this was enough to stop it in its track so, Wu Chi jump onto the occasion, literally, and linked both of his hands together to form a big fist and crushed the skull of the beast onto the ground. Without giving it a moment to breathe Marianna launch the three strikes of doom which are three slashes that formed, from the very air, blades that can cut, virtually, anything. Except, just before it reached the beast, this one sent countless of its scales all around itself to both attack and push away its assailants. Quickly, Wu Chi put his arms in front of his face to protect himself and jumped backward to take some distance. Even though he was so close to the snake, the scales only manage to leave small cuts and bruises on his arms and legs with one scale planted very superficially in his left thigh. Wu Chi seem to be the most surprised by this as he was experiencing for the first time his new strength. Despite this pleasant surprise, especially after what happen to him, he didn't had time to appreciate it because their prey let out a screech that meant it was preparing something.

- "WE'RE DONE!" - exclaim Chu Chen.

- "OK, get ready princess I'm taunting the beast in."

Chang Fu had just woken up from his fall but luckily he got placed right into position to lead the beast in the array with his taunting cry. From, his shield emanated a deep red light as he let out a short and strangely metallic grunt which immediately put the emerald boa into a tunneling rage making it charge directly at him.

- "WAIT!"

Luluo scream out his lung but it was too late. From the beginning everything seem to have work out according to the plan but at the last second he saw something at the tip of the snake tail; this isn't an emerald boa, it's a moonlight boa. At first glance they seem to be exactly the same, except that the moonlight boa when it is put in a state of extreme danger it triggers its beast territory. Nobody had time to react, a massive amount of moonlight energy blinded everyone, and they were trap in the beast realm. In this realm the full moon always reign the sky giving the beast a huge boost on its attack and defensive skill far surpassing anyone in the group. Realizing this everyone move away from the monster, but it was too late for Chang Fu as the beast didn't stop its chase; it let out the attack it was charging from before. Chang Fu was unable to run away but he wasn't the type of man to run away anyway so, he courageously took it on with all his might. However, this was way more than he could chew as the sound wave produce by the Moonlight Boa struck in his direction the ground got scrape off of all the grass, the trees were breaking, and debris of wood flew everywhere. Once it reached Chang Fu the pressure was so heavy that his eyes blew up inside his skull, the corners of his mouth got teared apart and the pressure apply on the back of his throat was so intense that it created a big lump at the junction between the spine and the head resulting in his neck dislocating. Needless to say, he died on the spot.

- "PRISON CELL OF PARALLEL SPACE"

Luluo threw in the air a talisman that was a rare treasure that technically permitted to anyone who use it, to trap anything in a small confine space. However, he knew that this treasure had its limits so instead of launching it on the moonlight boa he use it on the group to give them protection and a moment to breath. But this also meant one thing:

They're trap.
