Anne's New Life

Anne went to school the next day without seeing Nina who was too depressed to go to school that day.

Anne changed her outfit to reflect her new way of looking at life. She wore a red and black hoodie. She dyed her hair with white streaks. Anne didn't care at all about how others saw her. She didn't wear a smile. The only way she would smile is by feeling the same feeling she felt after winning that fight with Cherry.

The school board wasn't thrilled with how Anne looked, but she didn't care and the school could do nothing about it.

When school ended, she went to her martial arts club.

"Are you sure you're up for it? You can still take a few days off," the instructor asked out of concern.

Anne shook her head.

"No. I'm good," she said without feeling any emotion.

She changed into her new karate gi. With the black coin she got, she spent it on getting a new karate outfit. It was black with outlining.

Before their exercises, the instructor yelled his chant. "Honor before victory!"

Everybody except for Anne repeated those words. "Honor before victory!"

When they were finished with their exercises, they went onto their sparring.

Anne chose Ben to spar with, and he had no objections.

When they fought, Ben tried to grapple Anne, but without a shred of remorse, she grabbed onto Ben's arm and twisted it. He screamed in pain right before Anne kicked Ben in the gut onto the ground. A smile was plain for all to see. She enjoyed the screams coming off of her opponent. It signified her victory over him. Ben grabbed onto his own arm in pain and gritted his teeth. The other students froze and watched as he writhed in pain.

Anne walked over to him. They all expected her to apologize and give him her hand to lift him up, but instead Anne kicked him as he was down. All with a smile.

"Anne! Stop!" the instructor yelled as he grabbed Anne's arm and pulled her back.

Her smile faded as she looked at the instructor.

The instructor knelt down to look at Ben's injuries. His arm was broken and he needed to go to the hospital.

Anne began to walk away. She picked up her bag as the instructor began to apply ice to Ben's arm.

"Anne! Where do you think you're going!?" the instructor yelled angrily.

Anne looked back with cold eyes. She gave no reply before looking at the entrance.

"I saw what you did! You-!" the instructor began to yell, but Anne interrupted.

"Doesn't matter. You have nothing left to teach me. And you won't be seeing me here anymore," she replied with a cold voice as she left the dojo without looking back.

She was no longer content with being there. They were all so weak. Each one of them didn't understand the need to win. All they cared about was having an honorable fight. But she wouldn't accept that. Not anymore. Honor was for the weak. The only thing that mattered was victory. And she left without any feeling of guilt.
