Black Eyed People

Ashley's P.O.V

Only a day was left now, for my transformation. I could feel the anxiety kicking in already.

The past days were spend preparing for the plan as named Fireflies. Tristan was the busiest as he had to carry out the plan. He took the initiative, anyway. Brad and Connor never left each other, I don't know why. So they were given the task to contact every one and tell them about Fireflies. Ashton and Michael called the rest of 5Sos to the Vamps house and now that Luke and Calum were here they started to arrange for ammunition. The day Luke and Calum came they already brought some arms with them.

As for James and me. James had healed over time and now he never left me. He always stood by my side and comforted me every time I started to overthink about the situation. Though, I could tell that he was nervous too. And that was his work, to keep me in check and never leave me. It was given to him because the boys were considerate and didn't want to separate the newly found soulmates. I was grateful for that.

As today was the D-day (tonight I would transform) everyone was restless. I could tell from everyone's face that they were really tired.

Right now, I was in my room and no James and I still sleep in different rooms because I am really shy.

I was literally losing my mind from even the thought of what could happen.

"Ashley?" James knocked on the door.

I answered with a come in and James entered my bedroom. He carried a plate and a glass of water. He gave the plate to me and placed the glass down on the bedside table. The plate aka my lunch consisted of scrambled eggs, bacon, and veggie salad.

"Eat up. After a few hours, we'll have to go to the Moonstone Hill." James said and gave me a peck in the lips and left the room.

Moonstone Hill was the place where the transformation would take place. I don't know where it is because the boys said that my instinct will take me there, so I don't need to know where it is. 'My instinct? I never trust it.' I thought and rolled my eyes.

I finished lunch and put the plate aside. I looked out the window and saw something move very fast. I furrowed my eyebrows and moved towards the closed window. I didn't open the window as I was afraid the creature might try to enter my room and no one wants that.

As I stood in front of the window a human suddenly appeared in outside the window. A silent gasp left my mouth. A man. His eyes were pure black, his hair was jet black and his skin looked so pale and sickly that his veins were visible. The clothes he wore were ripped and dirty. I couldn't see his eyes but I could feel him staring inside my soul. He gripped the extended part of the window and started whispering.

"Let me in. Let me in..." He didn't have any feeling in his words. It was as if a robot was speaking. I didn't want to but I asked him,

"Why? Why should I let you in?"

"Because I have nowhere to go. Let me in..." He spoke in a small, monotone voice.

"How did you get to my window and where did you live before this?" I asked. I did not trust him. After all the things that happened to me in this short span of time, I have found it difficult to trust anyone.

"I roam, anywhere and everywhere. Let me in..." He pleaded but I could not feel his desperateness. Heck, I didn't even know what to do.

"Sorry, but I can't let you in. I'm really sorry."I apologized. I felt bad for him but I couldn't let this strange boy inside, after all, he seems to be dangerous.

I turned to walked away but I heard a hiss coming from the boy. I looked at him cautiously and saw that he was clawing at the window, to open it. But he was not able to. It was as if an invisible force had stopped him from doing so.

"Let me in!" He screeched, his voice cracking. I felt anger rising inside of me. I don't know why the anger. I should feel afraid but I did not. I glared at the boy who was trying his hardest to break through the window. Luckily, the window didn't even budge from its place.

I continued glaring at the boy. His screaming getting louder by the second and my anger rising with it.

"LET ME IN! AHH!" The boy yelled and my left eye twitched. I felt warmth flowing through my body. It felt like an electric current. My eyes felt weird and I felt the warmth transferring to my hands. I didn't know what was happening but I knew it was because of my rage. I felt really powerful.

"I SAID NO!" I yelled. My hands turned into fists and I felt a wave of energy coming out of them and spreading around the area in a circular form. The boy was thrown backwards and I felt like my head was spinning.

"Ashley?!" Ashton yelled. In a matter of seconds, everyone was in my room. They were all staring at me like I was some strange creature.

"W-what happened to your eyes?" Brad asked as he pointed at them. I furrowed my eyebrows together. What was he saying? Nothing could be wrong with my eyes. I walked to my bathroom where a mirror was pinned just above the sink.

I looked at my reflection and was petrified. My eyes had turned from chocolate brown to a shade of yellow and orange mixed like a flame. My eyes held authority in them and seemed much darker than before.

I looked down at my hands when I felt the warmth once again. They were basically glowing. I looked at the doorway where the boys stood. I looked at everyone but once my eyes reached James' I felt the warmth going away and a weird sensation was felt in my eyes. I once again turned to the mirror and saw that my eyes had gone back to normal.

"What do you think is the reason for this?" James asked aa he looked between me and Tristan. I sighed and ushered the boys out of the bathroom and sat down on my bed.

"A few minutes ago..."

And with that, I told them everything that happened. About the weird boy and how I felt towards him.

After a few seconds of silence, Tristan spoke up.

"The Black Eyed People. The way you described that boy, it feels like them. I think they also know about your power so they seek to use it too. You did right not letting him in. But how come you did not feel fear?" Tristan said, stroking his imaginary beard.

"I don't know. I just felt irritated that a person was begging me to let them in my house with such a neutral personality. It felt like he didn't even have a personality until he got angry. And now I was really getting pissed because first I was being respectful and kindly denied him but he just started screaming. When my rage reached the peak then I felt strange warmth inside of me, going to my arms. Then I felt weird sensations in my eyes and then I yelled at the boy and he was thrown back." I explained. I could see a small smile on James' face when I said 'my house'.

Tristan nodded thoughtfully, seemingly in a trance. Suddenly as if his brain clicked he looked at me and started speaking.

"You see, you are a part werewolf and your transformation day in tonight. And when the wolves get angry they unknowingly used their powers. I think that's what happened to you."

Now it was my turn to nod. Of course, it would be my werewolf side as my eyes were also yellow not red.

"So with that done. I think it was good that it was a Black-Eyed Child as they need permission to enter somewhere. And I don't think you need any protection as your "rage" is enough." Michael said putting the rage word in inverted commas. I rolled my eyes but agreed.

One by one everyone left except for James. He was staring at me the whole time as if he looked away for a second I would be gone.

"What happened?" I asked softly as I walked to him. He was standing beside my bed, nearer to the window.

He sighed but said nothing rather he wrapped his arms around me and buried his head in my hair. I was quick to catch on and hug him back.

"I just don't want you getting hurt." He whispered. His words getting muffled by my hair. He sounding so fragile it made my heart broke. This boy was the only thing I cared about right now.

We stayed like that for a while. Slightly swaying to the side, enjoying each other's company. James pulled away and rested his forehead against mine. He leaned forward a bit and his lips touched mine. The kiss was a lot longer and totally different from the first time because the kiss held our love for each other.

We parted and he held my cheeks with his hands. I couldn't help but admire him as I felt the heat rise to my cheeks. He looked beautiful even when worried. His gorgeous blue orbs looked deep into mine.

"Promise me, you will never leave me." I could hear the vulnerability in his voice. He was really afraid to lose me in this fight. My heart softened and a small smile made its way to my face.

"Promise," I said in an almost whisper. With that, a huge grin decorated James' face and he pulled me closer to himself. I was pressed on his chest and he kissed my lips, parting a little so that his lips brushed against mine while he spoke.

"I love you." I smiled, "I love you too."

I closed my eyes and joined our lips once again.
