AuYeung LaiSan - Epilogue

When ZhiHin was alone in his room, he opened the book that he had given LaiSan to read. It was indeed thicker.

The story of that lifetime has filled in and this is what it said.

So, after LaiSan was murdered, the culprit was caught and this time they were ready with the truth serum to get down to the details of their plan. The Crown Prince had guessed correctly, they were sent by the neighboring country of SanSi, to get the map of the burial grounds of the first emperor of this dynasty. There is a legend that if anyone is able to find and disrupt the burial grounds, the current dynasty will fall. After careful planning and many battles later, the Crown Prince led armies to conquer Sansi, thus adopting the land into their territory. He opened the borders, so that people and trade flowed freely throughout all lands. He maintained peace throughout his reign.

As for the AuYeung and Szeto family. General DongAn truly did feel he was meant to be with LaiSan. Stricken with grief, he offered to take LaiSan as part of his Szeto family. The AuYeungs agreed, it was better that she had a home in the afterlife than to always be alone. Thus they had a simple ceremony and tied strands of their hairs together and placed it in a pouch in the urn. He then took her ashes back home with him. Placing her in the ancestral hall as his first wife. Many years later he did marry another, after his mother urged him to carry on the family line. He lived for another twenty-six years and had six children, two boys and four girls. They all called and worshiped LaiSan as their late mother.

ZhiHin sighed, "So that is what truly happened."

He closed the book and on the cover of the book read, The Life Stories of the Son of Szeto.

ZhiHin used a finger to trace the Chinese characters on the title of the book. Then picked it up and placed a paper cover back on the book. "I wonder if this will be enough information for her to start with. I am not sure why the orb did not show more information this time. I hope it all goes well, I'm really anxious to learn…"

He was interrupted by a knock on the door. "Sir Szeto, the Master is looking for you."

"Okay I will be right there," he yelled back towards the door.

He placed the book back into the shelf and covered up the orb before opening the door.

He then stepped out and greeted the junior at his door then asked, "Where is the Master?"

"He is at the Main Hall, would you like for me to lead the way?" he asked.

"No, I can go myself, please go back to your work," ZhiHin told him.

He bowed and said, "Okay Sir Szeto, I bid you good day."

ZhiHin walked the short way to the Main Hall. He entered the gigantic red room and searched the floors for his Master. He spotted him on one of the upper floors.

He climbed the stairs and greeted his Master as he approached. "Master, you summoned me?"

"ZhiHin, how long has it been that you have been at the Hall of Fate?" Master of Fate asked.

"It has been over 20 years, that I had awakened and you had taken me in as your apprentice," he answered.

"You have been a great help to me." Master said.

"Thank you for taking me in, I am very happy to be here," ZhiHin bowed as he said.

"Szeto ZhiHIn, did I ever teach you to lie? Why have I heard from the Ghost Guard you told a female soul that your name is Lau ZhiHin?" Master questioned.

He kneeled down immediately and apologized, "I am so sorry Master? Please forgive me."

"There is no need for this." The Master helped ZhiHin up. "It is not a crime to lie but I wonder why my young apprentice feels the need to do so?"

"It was just a soul, I just did not feel there was a need to tell her my whole life story. It just slipped out and I did not feel like correcting myself after it was said, "ZhiHin quickly tried to explain.

"Okay," Master said as if he knew something. "Go on back to work."

ZhiHin bowed and left.

Meanwhile down in the mortal realm.
