18 Preparing to Depart

When I woke, I was once again on a hospital stretcher, this had become a usual scene for me, as McGuire's training was rather intense. I have to say though it was rather effective though. It had given me mastery of basic telekinesis and even a passive skill called pain tolerance. It was already level five because of the intensity of the training.

This time was different from before though, normally I would wake up to seeing Mcquire reading some type of book as he watched over me. This time there was two people sitting beside the bed. The first was the ever-familiar Lily, she looked rather pale, but this was to be expected as she hadn't eaten in over a week. The second was a woman who looked rather like Lotus, though her hair and eyes were a darker shade of red, and she looked to be slightly older. Perhaps an older sister?

As I attempted to sit up, I noticed a slight weight on my chest accompanied by light purring. My small black kitten, Ares, was sleeping happily there so I made no further attempts to sit up. The woman however had immediately noticed my actions and had a look of interest on her face as she gazed at me. The look in Lily's eyes however was one of hunger. I could feel that I had an abundance of essence inside me and offered lily my wrist. She looked at the woman beside her and only when she nodded did Lily begin to feed.

Color slowly returned to her face as she drained my essence. She stopped after a short while, I could tell that she was still hungry, but she no longer appeared to be starving. Well we could take care of that and her other need later.

The lady began to speak after lily was done, her voice had a sense of dominance, as if she expected to be obeyed. "My name is Rose, and I am Lotus's elder sister. I originally was a member of the undying legion like yourself but was recruited by the academy thanks to evolving at level 10 into a vampiric Esper. When the academy heard about you being a natural vampiric Esper they sent me to recruit you. Well, recruit is not the right word, you have been enlisted and your attendance is mandatory. I was given the right to give terms to your acceptance, and after talking it over with Lotus and Mcquire we have given you three concessions. The first is that you will be accompanied by Lily who will also be at the academy, the second is a shared dorm room for the two. The third is normally normal beasts other than familiars are not allowed in the dorms. Because of your unique need to feed we will allow you to bring the beast violet to use as a food source. "

"As I have stated your joining is not negotiable, however this is an opportunity that most people wish for but can never achieve. You will find that you will become stronger in the academy than if you stayed in the sect. We not only have specialized teachers that have years of experience to guide you, we also have a way to further specialize your stat increases from cultivation, however you will learn about this in the academy. Also, you will not be able to use your current method of cultivation at the academy, as the bloodbaths would simply not be cost effective. To this end I have worked with Lotus and Mcquire to come up with an alternative cultivation method for you based on a mixture of the knights' cultivation method, the undying legions cultivation method and my own experience. The results will be the same as if you had continued with your current cultivation method and will cause no backlash from switching methods as the stat increases will stay the same. Which is to say +1 str +2 dex and +1 mind. This is not of course including the extra increase to a certain aspect of mind that vampiric Espers get." She winked at me as she said this. "It is common knowledge that vampiric Espers get a bonus increase to perception as we level, however it balances out the fact that we are unable to use any elemental magic"

She looked at me as she spoke, the confusion on my face obvious. "There is no harm in telling you early, each stat is divided into different subcategories, and the three for mind are magic power, essence regeneration, and perception. Each stat other than strength has 3 subcategories, strength only having two, but you will learn about this in class."

"We will leave in the morning, it's only just afternoon, so you will have the rest of the day to get ready and say your goodbyes. I heard that Mcquire wanted to see you, so you should probably attend to that, the old man gets annoying if his requests are not met."

She did not say anything else and simply got up and left. As the door closed behind her Ares on my chest finally woke up, she stood up stretching in the adorable way kittens do. She began to purr loudly seeing that I was awake, rubbing her face against mine.

See as the kitten was awake, there was no longer any reason to continue laying in the bed. I quickly got up, noticing a clean change of clothes on the foot of the bed. Lily made no attempt to hide her gaze as I got dressed in front of her. A grinned at her, attempting to look sexy as I pulled on my shirt, which only led to her laughing at me. Well I suppose this wasn't the place to get busy anyways.

It did not take long to find Mcquire, he was once again in the room with the empty throne. I had never asked the purpose behind it, and he had never told me. Perhaps it was some deep secret of the knighthood, or maybe he just found it uncomfortable. I would probably never know.

Mcquire eyes lit up as he saw lily and I walk in. He spoke excitedly as he asked to see the blade, after all it had disappeared as soon as I passed out. I focused on my inner world for a moment to find that in its place floated Blood Drinker. I willed it into my hand, and it appeared, yet at the same time it was present inside me. The feeling was odd as I looked at both. I asked him about the situation, but he did not know. As his was present inside his inner world and disappeared when he summoned it.

With excitement Mcquire cast his spiritual sense over the blade, it was something I had seen him done before, apparently it was a telekinetic skill that almost everyone learned. His eyes went wide as he examined my blade. "So, it's called Blood Drinker? A very apt name seeing its properties. It indeed has room to grow! Looking at it, it will grow alongside you as I theorized. Amazing, simply amazing! Its attack is only at 3 for the moment, not even a third of the telekinetic blade, but as your magic power gets stronger so will it. And the shape is perfect your cultivation growth. Small enough to take advantage of your high dex increase, but still able to take advantage of the strength you gain! Truly formidable it really did take the best form for you!"

Mcquire seemed happy as he observed his blade, so I did not I interfere, however the cost to maintain it was rather high. 10 percent of my maximum essence, so it disappeared after a few minutes. The depletion of my essence was obvious as my stomachs let out a rather loud growl. "How rude of me!" Mcquire exclaimed "I was so caught up in admiration that I forgot the toll it has, hurry back to the Legion and get something to eat...err drink."

As I turned to leave I heard him call after me "I almost forgot! Your surprise should be waiting for you in your room! You don't have to thank me, just seeing that my skill being passed down is enough for me!"

The walk back to the legion was uneventful, but a large commotion could be heard even before we entered. The girls inside were chatting rather loudly. When we opened the door, we were greeted by the girls, more undressed then dressed gathered around the large table in the meeting room. At the head of the table sat Rose, with Lotus taking a position beside her. Inside a large bowl on the table a strong scent of alcohol could be smelt mixed with fragrance of blood.

Before I even had a chance to think Aster pulled me to the table and handed me a large glass of the stuff. Forcing me to drink the entire cup. I felt a slight pinch on my wrist as a blade ran across it, my blood dripping into another cup of alcohol which was handed to Lily.

The drinking lasted long I to the evening, Lily eventually pulling me into our room, her eyes filled with undisguised lust. She pushed me down onto the bed, drunkenly unbuttoning my pants. She did not even get then down halfway, before she enveloped my growing member in her mouth. A sense of warm wetness covered my member as her tongue danced around it. Her head began to move downwards, and slight gagging could be heard as she absorbed my entire member into her mouth. A sense of please shivered through my body as I felt her tonsils rubbing against my shaft. Morning came to fast and the early morning song of the birds sent a pain through my head that I hadn't felt since before I deployed back on earth. I relished the pain and the memory that accompanied it as I woke up Lily who had somehow ended up next to me. We quickly bathed and packed up our stuff. I found a new skill book next to my bed as we were readily to leave. It was entitled stealth, the way of the assassin.
