37 Spider Queen Ash
Light slowly entered my eyes as I looked up at the familiar white ceiling of my dorm room. I could hear Lily singing to herself as she fumbled around in the kitchen. The rotting smell of food was distant as the sweet scent of strawberries assaulted my nostrils. I savored the scent, as it hand been a long time since I had smelled anything other than decay. The smell reminded me of a time when I was much younger, before my father had drank himself to death. We were on a picnic in the park. Ants covered the blanket web and on the ground, but we did not care. A small black spider crawled over the edge, and as I went to crush it my father stopped me. His deep voice gently correcting me "spiders might look strange, but they are one of gods most perfect creatures. They will not attack us if we do not bother them, and they feed on the pests that bother us. We should be thankful that we have such good little friends in the world"
A smile came to my lips unsummoned. I reached towards the spider, "Spiders are out friends."
A familiar feminine voice responded "That's right my Spider king, you even have a spider for a wife!"
The peaceful scene around me disappeared and I was once again in the web filled cavern. Lily sat there looking at me as she sang a lullaby, a sad smile on her face. Behind her in the distance I could see the three rotting corpses of the lycans. Each of them had a rather large hole in their chests.
Ash's voice sounded again "the lycans are dead, I used their essence and bodies to give birth to a new spider queen using the orbs of the consorts. She will be hatching soon, so we should leave.
It was only then that I realized I was using her lap as a pillow, her fingers running through my hair. To my surprise lily did not seem upset by this. My mind wandered for a moment, to the notifications before I woke. "Demon?" I asked.
Lily nodded "yes I am a demon, I awoke as one after my body absorbed the orb."
"The orbs I gave you were here far before the first spider queen ever ruled over this forest. They have been guarded by us for centuries. Only when you arrived, braving through our domain, and helping our species did you qualify to gain them. You have both fundamentally changed. On the outside you look just as human as I do, if I will it, but on the inside your true form awaits."

Large increase to ability to hide while stationary, small increase to ability to hide while moving

Ability to use magic while moving, able to be interrupted, cannot use while in close combat.
Increases dexterity and Strength sub stats by 1/2 when active. Causes a detached sense of calmness. Uses 10 essence per minute.
Essence recovers at 3x regeneration(essence) per minute, at the cost of a permanent loss of 15% essence
By repeatedly focusing magic flow towards the users eyes, the users right eye has evolved to a state of constant viewing of essence. Perception is increasingly by 3x when observing essence. Permanent cost of 1 essence per minute.
Infects those who are damaged by your essence with death essence
This causes their body to corrode over time. Can be healed with an equal strength Life essence skill.
My stats had received a massive boost from my new race. Humanoid spider king? Strange. And silence had leveled up. That is to that my speed was currently my highest stance. My classification of esper and my Arcane Assassin clad had disappeared, changing to Vampric Apostle. Asura had also been added as a title, acknowledging me as Master Asura's disciple.
I had a feeling that I would not be receiving a class upgrade when I reached level 10, as an apostle was already a specialized class. But that was a problem for later.
3 days had passed while I was in my cocoon, with the three days we had taken to get here we only had a day to return. As I sat up I asked Ash a question "Did you level up as well? Can we leave?"
Ash nodded "my body absorbed my Demonic core when I approached the shrine. It's weird, to me I am both myself and not. My consciousness as the spider queen Jora fused with my consciousness as Ash. I can remember guarding this place, sending my children out to catch the intruders, but I can also remember joining the academy, and going to class. I can remember dying when the lycans came, watching them murder my children and kill my consorts, then a decaying human raising them up again. I can remember as my souls was poured into this body, and how both of my souls felt as they were melted together. And then there was nothing. "
"Nothing until I saw the corpse of one of my consorts attacking me. Rage filled my heart as it attacked. Rage filled my heart as I realized I was surrounded by those filthy lycans that did this to us. And then there was you, a vampire who courageously fought against. As your blade sliced against him I could feel myself getting wet. My body throbbed at your heroic sight. I moved, dispatching the two lowly lycans that had set you up. But to my dismay you rushed towards me with your sword drawn. Hatred filled your eyes and I realized my mistake. I tried to stop you with my threads, but they had been poisoned. My own essence filled the threads with poison, cutting up you and your mate! I was in despair as you ran, I knew not how I would reach you. "
"But then I remembered the beasts we bread for food. My children had not the intelligence I had, they would have eaten all of the prey had I not closed them off. But they were plenty. If I could just take a portion I would be able to help you slay the last of my consorts, allowing them to rest in peace."

For 70 hours I stayed there, transferring into you the spider DNA you needed, as you transferred to me your vampric essence, making me into your Vampric bride."
She blushed as she spoke, and I realized for the first time that she did not appear as a decaying body as she did before the shrine. Even her 12 eyes looked beautiful as I looked at them. She blushed as I admired her, looking down and hiding her eyes. "Do you find them disturbing? My eyes?"
I brushed her hair back behind her ear, lifting her chin up with my finger as I firmly pressed my lips up against hers. "They are beautiful."
