42: Divine Mission

There are the four basic elements Earth, air, fire, and water that are the most common. There are the more uncommon elements lightning, Ice, darkness, light, and poison. But then there are the four major elements these are Life, Death, Time, and Space. These elements can combine in unusual ways to make different aspects."

"Vampirism was a failed mutation of the death aspect. It ended up being rejected even by its own parent, Lady Lucia, the aspect has lived on despite this, becoming a powerful aspect. Its sister creation, a child of life and death was born shortly after, with the express purpose of eliminating the mutation, she was called Nekyia. She was the beloved creation of Lady Lucia of death and her sister Lady Gaeya of life. Nekyia was sent to fix what was wrong with vampirism, to control the vampire Alucard who had brought chaos to the world. However Nekyia did not do as planned. She captured the vampire Alucard, impaling him on a spike above a volcano, watching as his essence drained. She gained inspiration from his recovery, feeding him blood as he suffered. Finally she decapitated the vampire, using her power over life and death she brought him back to life. His flesh had begun to rot, his vampirism no longer. However he had become something else. And this excited her. Nekyia took her first steps to becoming a new god that day, and declared war on her parents, who had created her only to destroy. She slaughtered and rose her way through the world. Raising the dead into a state of undeath as she purified the world with her anger."

"The goddess of life and death would not watch on as this happened. Lady Gaeya poured a part of her divine essence into the world, blessing mortals who stood up against the undead. From this rose the church of Gaeya, using their blessings and faith they fought against the undead. Giving hope to humanity."

"Lady Lucia on the other hand chose a different approach, she freed the Vampire Alucard from his fate, giving him the power to slay the Undead queen Nekyia."

"However Nekyia had long since known about lady Lucia's plot, and managed to escape to another space. The lords of time and space feared the power of the undead queen and sealed her inside of the space."

"The undead queen was pissed by the betrayal of her most loyal servant Alucard, she gathered the elements she could to curse the vampires, to starve, never gaining their powers until death."

"Alucard fell as Nekyia was sealed away, the power used to animate him gone. However his blood was collected by humanity. And from it the lycans were born. They used their powers to hunt down the vampires, out of fear that they would seek the progenitor of their race. Now, only small offshoots of vampirism remain, a few legions here and there that use a cultivation method inspired by the story. There has not been a true vampric Esper since Alucard, all those who are born with the potential killed before they could awaken. Evolved Vampiric espers are rare, the conditions are hard to reach. Lady Lucia's voice rang out from Masters mouth. I looked on in wonder as I heard her speak. And she continued.

"Old man death once told you that I only chose one apostle per generation, but he was incorrect. The other gods only choose one apostle per generation, but being my apostle is not something I choose. It is something that fate willed. Only a vampire can become my apostle, this is the only way Alucard could break free from that disgusting daughter of mine's control. You are my first apostle." She looked briefly at my left hand. "And the price that had to be paid was paid, your gift that was owed given. I bet my useless son Alucard is laughing in his grave over the results!" She took a deep breath as she looked me in the eye
