Rule#8 Believe a Demon, You're Good as Dead

Early morning rays seep through the open window, as a light breeze carress my face. I roll over to my other side, and blink open my eyes. A pair of crimson red eyes stare back at me, making me jump back, falling off my bed.

Rowin looks over the edge of the bed, smirking. "Are you always this jumpy, in the morning?" I puff out my cheeks in frustration. "Hmph! Ass." I mumble as I stand up.

Remembering last night, my cheeks flush with embarrassment. I spin around and ruffle through my little closet for something clean. Giving up I sigh. "Damnit." I mutter under my breath. I hear Rowin chuckle and turn my head back to look over at him. "What?"

"Oh, nothing." He smirks. "I just like your ass."

I snatch the first thing I can grab hold of- my brush- and chuck it at him. He catches it with too much ease for a human, and laughs. "You're cute when you're mad."

I don't say a thing as I finally uncover a long sleeve black dress. The dress is usually only worn for winter but, since nothing else was found, this will have to do.

I rush out the front door, dress and towel in hand, and go straight to the hot spring.

As soon as I sink down, into the steaming water, my body starts to relax. I slide all the way down until just my head is above water and relax against the warm stones. A sigh of relief slips through my lips as I close my eyes.

I muddle over the events of last night. The way he touched me had made me feel special and loved. His kisses were... otherworldly would be most accurate. Come to think of it, a lot of things he does... They don't seem human.

My thoughts are interrupted by a small splash at the other end of the pool. I crack one eye open to see Rowin- in all his glory, slide into the hot spring, in front of me. I close my eye again and sigh as he trails his hand up my leg.

"Are you sore, darling?" He asks as he starts massaging my calfs.

"Mmm.... Yes." I whisper, a small smile forming on my lips. "Worth it, though"

I hear him chuckle. "Glad you think so, too."

Hearing his husky voice, I open my eyes to look at him. "Have you ever.... I mean... Was this....." I sigh, unable to get what I want to ask, out.

Rowin pulls me on to his lap with ease. "My first time?" He asks and I nod, sheepishly.

"Not my first, but It's been a really long time since I've had feelings and desires fierce enough to act upon." He states as I just look up at his perfect lips and red-violet eyes.

"What are you?" I whisper, unable to hold in the question any longer.

He smiles, tenderly. "I am Rowin."

I cock my head. "And what is Rowin? You're not human."

"So what if I'm not?" He leans his head down near my ear. "Are you scared?"

I gaze up at his beautiful face. Only one word comes to my blank mind.

"No."
