Ryan was waking up from being passed out on the floor where bright and lively grass was once laid. He groaned and opened his eyes, looking up at the blue sky, he didn't rememeber what happened but he knew he was at least knocked out for a day or three. The male sat up, sighing softly as he looked down at the burnt grass and trees, there was bearly anything left that looked alive and happy. Ryan flintched as he began to rememeber what happened..How it was all his fault for losing everyone and everything he knew and loved for.
He remembered he was playing with a couple of friends and made a fire by accident, not even knowing it was him until watching and hearing people screaming "fire!", watching people flee from their homes because the fire was buring eith passion to get rid of their homes. He was frozen in place as he watched the people he loved go and vanish from their homes from a small fire that turned large, tears going down his cheeks.
The male soon flintched as he heard someone say his name, tears going down his face as he looked at where the fire was once at. The teenage boy turned and looked at the female behind him. He didn't know what to do other then glare as he cried. Small mumbles of "forgive me." & "I'm sorry, it's all my fault." To the female. He knew who she was, she was a family friend, more like an older sister to the male. It was Lilly. His friend who he has grown up with since he was 5, a 5 year old kid being friends with someone for 9 years. It was rare for him to be friends with someone for so long due to fights, Yes they may have had small fights sometimes but always became closer after. Ryan would open up to Lilly all the time but Lilly looked sad..well upest and mad but he knew it wasn't all at him.
The Female gave the younger male a small smile. She wanted to try and be strong and not be horrible to the boy who pretty much lost everything he ever had. Ryan looked away from lil as he felt her arms wrap around the other, nuzzling their shoulder before whispering 'it's okay Ryan.' In a quiet voice, usually her voice was strong and dominant, she would usually put everyone in their place because she was the daughter of the village's elder, the one who found and built the village - of course he wasn't the TRUE founder but it was passed on to the younger generation of it. Lily let out a soft sigh when she pulled away and rubbed Ryan's head softly, messing the brown hair up. "Come on kid. It's all good. It was an accident.. " Lily said gently, her voice still quiet and soft. She wanted to cheer the other up and hell, maybe rebuild their home or find somewhere else to live.
Due to living in the forest they know how to survive. Lilly usually hunted with the others and Ryan would help build little houses with his family - Yes he may be 19 but he is very good with building and usually hammers even if he was one of the reasons everything went. Ryan was still quiet as he just listened to Lilly's voice. Lilly was always there for him so he trusted her with his life and that would never change. Not even for a minute.
When Ryan finally spoke it was muffled slightly - rubbing the tears off his face as he made a small yet week chuckle. "It's all my fault.. I should of paid attention. What..what if I saved it? Everyone would be happy..and not.. gone." The male said as he kept his eyes looking at the brunt grass and trees. He had so much blood on his hands..and he didn't know what to do. He just wanted to go back in time and stop it but he couldn't. The nineteen year old knew he wouldn't sleep at night without this horrible event showing up in his mind, the screams for help and the sound of burning wood in his mind.
The female sighed as she shook her head and pulled the male to his feet, holding his shoulders in a tight grip. "Ryan. Stop, you didn't mean for this to happen and for the people who are alive still will forgive you..maybe not quickly, maybe not in a year - but they will. You and your friends didn't mean for this and I understand that. Lets just hope we can find the others. If we can't, I know a place where we could stay. It will be cold..but it's gonna be okay." Lily promised as she gently punched the males shoulder. A small huff leaving Ryan's lips as he glared at Lily for a minute or so. He still didn't believe everything she said.. it was his fault and he didn't want people to forgive him for this horrible mistake.
