Bit by bit cracks started to spread throughout the land where he was standing unable to hold the weight of so many different beasts on it. Feeling himself start to fall he dispersed his Astral Energy and tried to move somewhere else but no matter where he looked the land was falling apart before him. "Now what." Trying to decide what to do he looked behind at the cliff only to see a giant cavern with no end in sight. "Yeah, that's not happening." Falling down there would be his end and that was something he was positive about. "Which leaves...." Turning to see the hoard of beasts he saw them starting to stumble as well as the cracks reached them.
"This isn't going to be easy."
Jumping off his falling rock he jumped to another one as he started heading toward the hoard. With them also suffering the same fate it was the only option he could think of. "One, two, three." With that he appeared in front of a mutated reptile and steadied himself as much as possible. "Sorry about this." Feeling some guilt since it seemed similar to Xelfia he stomped down and crushed it under him. "At least they're all weak." That was the only saving factor about this whole mess. Looking around he remembered the Undead but he couldn't find it anywhere.
"Did it fall already?"
The ground was falling faster as time went on so it might have happened but he had his doubts but since there were to many beasts around him at the moment he couldn't even try and sense it without getting lost and confused in the pile of all the different beasts from Monkeys, Wolfs, Lizards, Birds to Fire Chargers and even some damned Kaltae as well as even some he had never seen before there were just too many. "Forget it." He had more important things to worry about at the moment. Crushing another wolf he moved to another chunk of land as he made his way back to the center of the horde as well as safety.
Keeping an eye on Xelfia to make sure he was safe one of the birds attacked him along with another monkey but all he could was ignore the bird and hope for the best since right now he had no way of dealing with it. Focusing on the Monkey he watched it swipe at him well losing its balance giving Xilo the best chance to kill it. Seeing it stumble he kicked it and flung it backwards towards the cliff. Watching it fall in that bottomless pit he turned around and moved forward again.
*Whoosh*
However the Bird swooped down at Xelfia forcing Xilo to move a little in time and ended up taking the brute force of the bird on his chest instead. It started to dig into his skin as it pushed him backwards slightly due to the unexpectedness as it's black wings flailed about along with the rest of its body. Scared it would hurt Xelfia under it if he didn't stop it Xilo did the only thing he could at the moment. Opening his spiked mouth he lunged downwards at its neck and crunched down as hard as possible snapping its neck into two pieces. With that it it's body disconnected and fell to the ground well he held onto the head. Feeling it's blood enter his mouth a flash of pleasure ran through him as he felt some of his energy coming back but he stopped himself before going too deep and spit it out.
"Disgusting."
He had only just stopped hearing that voice and gained his sanity, he didn't want to be like that again so soon if he could help it. "If only I could use my hands this would be a lot easier". Unfortunately his back and shoulders had blades covering all along them as well so he couldn't shift Xelfia's position in fear of her hitting those blades by accident. He had already seen how deadly they were before and he didn't want to find out their limits. But besides some blood and some feathers on her she was the same as before. Breathing a sigh of relief he jumped forward again and landed another piece of land only to stumble this time.
"Whoops."
Feeling a wave of dizziness pass through him he almost lost his balance but managed to stabilize himself. With no time to worry about it he kept moving forward he moved closer to safety again. "Almost there." with only a little more to go he continued on to kill beasts whenever he could and soon almost reached the end. With a few more jumps to go Xilo grew excited as he went to make another jump. Flying through the air towards the next piece of ground he was almost there when he felt something strange. However he couldn't stop himself mid air as he looked around but that soon answered itself.
"RAAAAAAAAA!"
A familiar scream echoed through the air in the midst of the rumbling that made Xilo worried but it was too late. The next second he felt something clasp onto his leg mid air and pull him down. Dropping he hit the ground trying to keep Xelfia safe as he looked around himself and spotted the one figure he didn't want to see. That disgusting Undead was buried in the ground a little and had a clasp on one of his legs and was crazily snapping at him holding him in place. Disgust and panic rushed through his body as he tried to struggle to escape. If not he would soon fall just like everything else had.
"Let go damnit."
Kicking recklessly he tried to keep it at bay but even that didn't work. Watching it snap at him XIlo had to keep an eye on it at all times and couldn't focus on his surroundings anymore and soon the ground around him started to fall just like the others. Continuing his kicks he tried to get it off of him. "But even Xelfia had to go all out to do anything against this thing, what could I do?" Regardless he had to try and get it off of him. Putting more and more power in as time went on he watched as the cliff got closer to him once again.
"So close as well..."
Watching his struggle and effort collapse in front of him because of the Undead was almost suffocating. Frustrated he kicked the damn skeleton again.
*Crackkkkkk*
"RAAAAAAAA."
After his kick landed a sharp crack pierced his eardrum and almost dumbfounded him. Wondering what that sound was he looked around and didn't find anything. "Please not another.." Worried another of these creatures would show up with that sound he tried harder to escape and kept kicking and struggling out of the current one's grasp. But that was all for nothing as the edge was right in front of him now. "Damn." With one last frustrated kick he watched himself begin to fly over the edge.
"Raaa."
Hearing that weak cry he wondered what had happened as he began to fall and looked down at the Undead creature only to be suprised.
"Did I do that...?"
Watching as it cracked into hundreds of pieces soon all Xilo could see anymore was darkness as he began his descent
