Getting ready for the day Tearia got up and did her usual routine before being ready to leave and after finishing messing with her hair a little she walked out her door looking for her grandparents. Going to their room first she knocked to see if they were there but just like usual they weren't. "Not today it seems." sometimes she would find them in there together but most of the times they were always by themselves doing their own thing. "Looks like I have to check downstairs in the Inn." Making her way down a flight of stairs she went to the front entrance where her Grandfather usually situated himself but with no luck.
"Not her either."
Shaking her head she went to her Grandmother's office hoping they were there but when she arrived there and checked inside she still didn't find either of them. "Where could they be?" Her Grandparents weren't the type of people to just leave randomly unannounced at least so they should be somewhere in the inn but Tearia didn't know where. "Well...There is one place left, maybe they're there." Making her way past empty guestrooms that were almost never occupied she went to the backdoor that led to her training area.
Stepping out into the open air of the morning Tearia felt a little relaxed as she twisted her head left to the left and saw two bodies sitting on the bench. "There they are." Walking up to them she noticed her Grandmother peacefully sleeping as she leaned on her Grandfather well he smiled before looking at her. Sighing at the sight Tearia almost didn't know what to say.
"Hello Tearia, did you sleep well?"
"I'm still sore a little bit but for the most part I'm okay but what about you two, were you out here the whole time?"
"So it would seem though it didn't last as long as I would have hoped...So little time..."
"Spending a Whole day almost isn't a little amount of time and what about taking care of the Inn?"
"Maybe you're right but for us it is short and the Inn is fine to be closed every so often. Not like it gets many guests anyways."
"haa....."
Speechless with her Grandfather Tearia watched as he got up while carefully letting her Grandmother lay down on the bench before he approached her.
"Come with me for a little bit okay?"
"Alright."
Dragging Tearia a little ways away to the other side her Grandfather stopped and turned around. Looking at his Granddaughter Eli knew she probably wanted to ask him questions and since he didn't want to disturb his wife he brought them over here to talk.
"You look like you wanted to ask me something so what is it?"
"uhh..."
Taking by surprise from his sudden question Tearia took a second to have it register in her mind. "I'm still a little sleepy." Trying to get the tired out of her she moved her body a little but that didn't work so she gave up as she asked her question.
"Um, this might sound weird but I kind of, sort of...forgot what happened yesterday near the end. Can you tell me what happened?"
With a little awkwardness mixed in she managed to blurt out that question as best as possible but even still she felt a little silly but thankfully her Grandfather didn't say or do anything else besides answer her.
"You won against me in the end or maybe more accurately you probably reached the goal you were after. In the last second you were able to land a hit on me and for that I'm incredibly proud of you. You did a great job."
Smiling Eli praised his only Granddaughter with full certainty this time without holding back or feeling down about it like last time. He took his wife's words to heart and he wouldn't let her, himself or Tearia down. It was the least he could do for something that he really did find impressive.
"Really?"
Tilting her head to the side a little she tried to think back to that moment but still couldn't quite remember it but she knew her Grandfather wouldn't lie to her so she had to believe it. Reaching that point she felt some excitement rushing to her head at the thought of actually being able to land her attack on her Grandfather for once well feeling her body become more awake. "For almost a whole month I was constantly suppressed but I finally did it...." Watching her excitement Eli almost forgot something until he felt Lightning energy in Tearia's body start to act up a little bit.
"Oh that reminds me, Do you wanna try using your lightning again? I'm sure you've improved quite a bit there as well since yesterday."
Stopping her excitement with her Grandfathers words she calmed down again as she felt the energy in her body as well. Eager to try it out herself she began to set it up and bring it out of her body to try. "So much easier..." Noticing the ease it took for her to go through the process unlike last time Tearia was amazed as it finally exited her body and glided along her hands much more powerful and solid then the day before.
"Wow...."
"Oh now this is a pleasant surprise. It seems you've make quite a bit of progress. Even more then I expected."
"it seems so..."
Still shocked at her own progress Tearia was still kind of out it until she heard her Grandfather speak again.
"So, now that you've gotten to this point and hit your own goal. How do you feel about joining the competition that's coming up soon? I'm sure your ready at this point and I'll still continue training you of course."
Freezing at his words she cut off her Electricity as she looked him in the eyes. Yet she couldn't push the words out of her mouth to give him an answer. Anxiety, Fear, Self-loathing and no confidence started to show up in her thoughts that she had finally been able to get on track that stopped her from speaking what she wanted to say all along but she slowly pushed past it. while her Grandfather didn't rush or push her instead he silently sat and patiently waited with a smile on his face until his Granddaughter could finally speak the words she was looking for. "Until you're ready, Tearia." And then It happened.
"I....".
