Sending her plants through the ground she hoped they would be of some use later while she made sure Xilo was okay, after getting an okay sign from him she left him alone to recover on his own. "I'll need to distract her for a bit." If it was just her by herself she wasn't confident in winning so she needed Xilo but that might take a minute. Arriving in front of the hooded figure she ignored the tingling sensation of familiarity as plants converged along her arm while she struck forward.
"Let's see how this does." She hadn't really gotten too good of a grasp on how much stronger they had gotten so now was the real test, she just hoped it was enough. "At least it's not my water...That'd be a bad match up." Striking she felt her fist hit the cloth of her opponent while she smiled a little only to feel air in the next second. "What, where?" seeing them disappear so quickly she was left a little baffled as a strong impact that sent jolts down her spine landed on her back pushing her slightly forward towards the cliff not too far away.
"Whoa, whoa..."
Halting her momentum right before the cliff edge she breathed a sigh of relief as her body recoiled from all the force still running through it along with the lightning. Thankfully it didn't last long as she backed away from the edge as fast she could. "It might not kill me but the beasts down there will for sure." Being thrown into an endless sea of Astral Beasts was probably the last thing she wanted. However this whole time she was dealing with that Xilo had already received another punch in the gut that continued to shock his body while he was unable to defend himself.
"Hmmm, you're a lot tougher then I thought you'd be, That makes this a bit difficult."
"Sorry about that."
Coughing that out he tried to find her with his vision but that failed as more pain ran through him.
"I don't need your sass boy, I need you to die."
"I'm quite stubborn....Ack."
"Hmph."
Falling to the ground he felt his entire body go numb as the lightning went rampant within him. "Need to deal with this first." But to do that he needed Xelfia to distract her again. "I'm quite useless here aren't I...." Unable to do anything in this position he waited until the pain went away and he stopped getting attacked. "I guess Xelfia's back." Taking the lack of blows as a sign, he began to concentrate again as he laced his body with Ice trying to protect himself while stopping the lightning. Meanwhile his Darkness slowly started to get to work as it seeped into his bones easier than ever along with the ice unnoticed by him. It was taking everything in him just to concentrate at the moment. "This might have been a mistake." However it was too late to think that.
Sending more plants into the ground Xelfia waited a second before she went to help Xilo. "Sorry for the wait." After that she sent some of her vines forward to attack with her. Yet all the woman did was burn them in an instant with her lightning like it was nothing. "So you've improved." Thinking that she watched Xelfia fly at her while a blade of lightning formed in her hand and swung it down right at Xelifa hoping to cut in her two. Her strike was too fast for Xelfia to dodge so she was confident in inflicting heavy damage at least or killing her, Either was fine to her, she honestly didn't care.
"Why do they want to protect this place so badly, Even hiring me? Always so damn secretive." Sighing in her mind she watched as her blade hit the top of Xelfia hands and awaited a scream or cry of pain. Unfortunately for her it wasn't going to go the way she wanted just yet as she felt something hit her stomach unexpectedly knocking her off balance while causing her to miss her strike, letting Xelfia avoid most of the damage if any at all. "The boy?" Turning she saw him still on the ground as confusion filled her mind as she looked down to see a pair of vines attached to her body. "When?" Trying to think back to when this could have happened she was completely lost as Xelfia's fist nailed right into her stomach as she struggled to get up in time.
"Agh, that is not a normal punch...." Feeling strength she never expected from someone as strong as Xelifa she held in the urge to spit out blood as she grabbed Xelfia and tossed her over her body as she quickly got up and tried to pounce on top of her again. "I can't get hit by too many of those." Trying to jump on Xelfia though she felt another impact hit her body as more vines hit her body. "I see, there traps set up around the area, smart." This time she did that to get a little information and happened to see one of them flying out of the ground at speeds that even surprised her.
"Then let's play the long range game." Burning the ones of her body she Watched Xelfia get up after she recovered she created lightning in her palms and waved it towards her direction. "Now what?" Flicking out a couple strikes to test her, she waited to see what she would do. "Fuck, this is the one thing I didn't want happening." Watching lightning fly towards her Xelfia didn't have anything to defend herself with against those kind of attacks, which is why she wanted to always be in her face.
"I wonder..."
Trying to think of something to help defend against her attacks she attempted to dodge them for the time being but most of them went too fast for her to keep up with and Xelfia had a feeling she was holding back a bit with them or else she might have been in Xilo's position already. "Dammit." panicking she didn't know what to do.
