A Maze To Explore

Handing over the book to Lexi she watched for anything out of ordinary from her as she watched the other girls come closer while people passed by ignoring them or only giving them a glance before moving on to better things. Before they had made a deal to keep whatever loot they had found for themselves and she wanted to see how that could turn out with this. "Though since it's probably not worth much it's not the best teller....but that's fine." Scanning each of the girls faces as they walked closer she watched their faces change through several looks that confirmed some of her suspicion as her eyes landed on the black haired girl.

"Nothing." Unlike the other girls who had some fluctuations in their facial expressions Lexi and her didn't.

"A book?"

"Yeah, nothing much but it had a name in it and that was about it. I didn't understand it myself so I figured it'd be best to look at it together instead of using my brain power. I'm not the brightest after all."

Saying that she kept a slightly silly smile on her face as she watched her read through the book and pause on a couple areas before finishing and lifting her head back up to face her. "I see." Looking at Lexi she sneaked a peak at the black haired girl as well as she watched them carefully. The others to her were no longer important or valuable to her. After all they seemed to just be scum anyway.

"Hmm besides the name of this place a couple other things it didn't say anything else."

"Oh, you even found that much out? I thought it was empty after the name..."

"Couldn't read it?"

Staring at Rose questions popped into her mind as she looked at her.

"Nope, nothing but blank pages showed up for me after that, Weird."

"I see....Well here you can have it back."

Keeping that information in the back of her mind she handed it back to Tearia, she didn't need it anymore anyway for now. However it was snatched out of her hands at lightning speed by a black blur that surprised even her. "Strong." Turning she looked at the girl who had stolen it with her long black hair. "Figures it's her." Gritting her teeth slightly there wasn't much she could do about it. They were equal in strength and surrounded by potential enemies constantly. Fighting right now wasn't an option.

"Felli, What are you doing!"

Raising her voice on accident she watched as the girl flipped through the pages of it for a second before handing it back to Rose.

"Here."

"Dammit." Watching that exchange she didn't know what to think of her as she stopped caring and turned around. "I guess she saw what I did..." Watching her break her little mark she created in the book she felt a little sad about it but she wasn't too concerned. She could always try again another time. "I don't Trust either of them after all." She had known Felli for about a week now since she first arrived in the town along with the other girls she had brought along and Rose just seemed like someone that she could easily bring along with no worries. "I do have better things to do then this after all and mother asked me to get something from her for some reason...." So she wasn't too worried but having some things to get some extra information out of people on hand was nice.

"uhh, thanks?"

Staring at the girl presumably called Felli she awkwardly reached her hand out and grabbed the book. "That was weird." She didn't really understand what just happened but she was okay with it. "I think..." Watching the suit of armour fall to the ground easily Xilo turned around and ignored it as he walked into the mini courtyard after checking once more just to make sure there was nothing else around to attack him. Blocking the sun out of his eyes for a quick second he looked around the mini little garden that was there as a pathway spread off into three different other directions. "So which way to go?" The one on the left seemed to lead downwards somewhere, the one in front seemed to lead upstairs and the one on his right led to a kitchen area it seemed.

"More paths to choose I see....I wonder what way leads me to where I want to go? Probably....upstairs if I had to guess."

Most likely the main room would be somewhere in the center of this whole place but that was still a long ways away and he couldn't fly there nor could he destroy the walls. "That last attack didn't do anything to the surrounding area even though I hit it quite hard." Which meant he'd have to find his way there without any tricks and he was guessing quite a few people were in the same boat as him. "My Astral Energy also feels weird here...like it isn't working properly, it's strange..." Having thought that he walked up the steps towards the second floor while a lone woman flew into town in the middle of the afternoon as she grew a bit tired.

"Finally...Almost there."

Catching her breath Althea looked off into the distance at the town that Xilo was supposedly spotted in as her excitement grew. She was this close to her goal of finding him, then her plans could really begin. She only had to hope those idiots hadn't chased him off yet or killed him. However that was just letting the negative thoughts get to her. "You're just tired...Don't worry so much about it, I'm sure it'll be fine." Keeping positive she moved forward after regaining her breath and flew towards it as her time was running short and some of her energy slowly started to return.

"So he was here at least, good."
