Burning Flower

"I was saying that it looks clear for now but there will probably be more up ahead so you should be on high alert."

"Got it."

She was finally getting some of her energy back after before so it was time to put it to use. "I'm sure Xilo's also tired." He had been fighting non stop for almost the entire day now, so he was bound to be losing steam but he kept on pushing ahead so she needed to as well. "I am not weaker than him." Readjusting Tearia in her arms she made sure she was still alright before taking a step forward with XIlo as she stayed on high alert just in case. Walking past the ice and bodies she made sure to keep herself balanced as they passed them.

"You sure did some damage to them."

Looking at all the cuts in their armour along with the rigid cut through their stomach she was slightly surprised at how aggressive he was. "So this is who you chose." Watching Xilo's back as he ignored her comments she kept an eye on him as he turned the corner. Turning the corner Xilo made sure nothing was going to sneak attack him or pop out at him before he moved forward. "Oh? What's this." Looking slightly up ahead he saw another chest similar to the one he saw before in the room but this one was made of pure metal compared to the stone one before. "So they were guarding something." Seeing that chest now filled in some of the blanks he had but he still kept alert as he walked towards it.

"There's something up ahead."

"Yeah looks like more loot."

picking up their pace the two of them rushed to it as fast as they could. If someone else showed up before they could get their hands on it then they would be forced to fight again and Xilo needed a small break before his next fight. "It's catching up to me." He had been in this Astral Zone for almost a day now so it was probably about time he got some rest but that could wait until after he was done seeing what was inside. "Maybe I can also use the other things I obtained." Feeling the weight in his bag still there he pondered in his mind what he was going to do with them as he arrived in front of the chest with Felli right behind him.

Pausing he looked around the room looking for any obvious traps or the likes before opening it but even when he swept his Astral Energy around the room he didn't find anything. "So just guards then." Looking back at Felli he wanted to see if she spotted anything unusual as well but all he got was a shaking of her head signaling she didn't as he turned back around and cautiously approached the chest. "This should be fine." He knew nothing about what could happen but he steeled himself regardless as he signaled the two of them to step back just in case.

"Should take a couple steps back."

hearing the sound of her feet shuffle back he took one foot forward as he placed his hand on the chest with nothing happening and quickly pushed it open as he jumped back. However even after that nothing happened except for the loud sound of the top falling to the ground with a solid thud that echoed around the room. "Nothing so far." Taking another quick look around to see if anything changed he approached the open chest now with some caution still in his bones. He knew Astral Zones had traps in them sometimes so he had to be ready for anything. "If something happens to me." If it was before he found the two girls he might not have cared but now if he wasn't around to help them who knows what would happen to them.

"More Crystals..."

Looking at the contents in the chest his heart sank at seeing nothing of use but no traps went off so there was at least that.

"Want any of this stuff?"

Turning to Felli he once again offered her a chance to take some of it but like before all he got was a head shake as she declined his offer.

"I'm good, keep it, you need it more than me."

"Alright, thanks."

Not Pushing it any more than that he grabbed it all and put it into his bag before backing off. "Ow." Feeling a sharp burning pain run up his leg, he panicked as confusion attacked him before he gripped his pants pocket and pulled something out that he stored there. "It burned me?" Holding a multi coloured flower of fire that he took a while ago, memories flashed through his head while he wondered why it burned him so suddenly as he heard a slight gasp escape someone's mouth. Curious he turned to see Felli staring at him with her mouth slightly open and what he assumed was probably a dumbfounded look on her face but he couldn't tell for sure.

"....?"

"Where....how.....why?"

Staring at that rainbow coloured flower Xilo held she felt a shock run through her system as a heat she didn't feel before attacked her body but she was to in shock to do anything about it. She just stood there baffled as she looked at something she never imagined she would ever see. "That flower...If it's what I think it is." Trying to look back in her memory about Astral Beasts she tried to find the one she memory that related to it. "If I remember right It's from a bird of fire that had long gone extinct and was incredibly rare. "it's from the same family as the Curel's if I remember right...." Thinking to there it finally hit her

"Terul's Flower."

A Fire bird that had been lost for ages that people had long forgotten the proper name of. A Fantasy within a Fantasy to find but there was still stories about them everywhere. Something every fighter and person longed to find and obtain. "Rebirth and immortality....A dream within a dream." Yet here she was staring at something that very closely resembled the pictures of it she had seen before. The only thing different about this one was all the different colours of fire it had unlike the pure red it should be.
