Aeon's Mistake

Checking each room Aeon passed through he looked over the people inside them to see if he missed anything. "Normal." Passing through five or so rooms he didn't find anything off just like before. Just empty rooms void of anyone but patients as they slept. All the doctors were probably together waiting on Tearia while they waited and anyone else that could move was probably taking a break as well. "I wonder if the Leader ever got some sleep." He hadn't gone to check on him since their first encounter so he wasn't too sure.

"Just more patients and they can't do anything..."

Speaking that out loud Aeon felt unsure of himself. Most of these patients couldn't even stay awake for a long time let alone move around so there was no reason to pay them much attention. "However...." Now that he was thinking about it thoroughly he realized a big mistake. "They're also the perfect disguise." If someone was just pretending to be sick they would avoid detection even from him. They didn't have enough time to check each patient one by one so if anyone was going to slip through the cracks it'd be that.

"Fuck, why didn't I think of something so simple before."

Passing through more walls he backtracked as he checked each bed to see if he missed anything. Paying closer attention to them he moved on to the next ones making his way back. Night was coming and everyone was taking a break so it was the best time for them to make their move. "Tearia's alone." Picking up the pace of his steps he made his way straight to Tearia ignoring everything else. He didn't care about any scoundrels that could be lurking in the halls at the moment. Tearia was the person he needed to keep safe the most. She may have wanted to not be disturbed but he couldn't care about that anymore.

"I'm sorry Tearia, I'm barging in whether you want me to or not."

Coming up on the room she was staying in Aeon didn't think to even check inside before he grabbed the knob and swung the door open without a second thought.

"Are you oka.....?"

Speechless Aeon stared at a sight he didn't expect to see.

"Quit complaining."

Grumbling Tearia got to work as she heard a quiet set of steps coming near her door. "I told no one to disturb me." Setting down her stuff she heard a quiet knock on the door as she got up to answer it. People had been really good at not disturbing her this entire time so most likely something bad had happened. Trying to not get frustrated she approached the door as she announced that she was coming. Grabbing the knob she began to turn it as her body shivered before she quickly backed up as a giant sword came crashing through the door where she stood.

"The heck."

*Crash*

With a bang she saw the door get kicked down as a few men walked in carrying weapons. "I don't think they're here to protect me." From their gazes Tearia was pretty confident she was in for some trouble. Ripping off Ravenous from her wrist she summoned her scythe and pointed it at her intruders. "So weak." She could feel herself struggling to even carry her blade at the moment. All those hours of non stop work were showing. "I need help." If she didn't get assistance she didn't know if she could beat the four people standing in front of her.

"What are you doing here, I said I didn't want to be disturbed."

Trying her best to sound imposing she knew she wasn't fooling anyone with her hand shaking. Looking at the four individuals in front of her that wore the same black robes that covered their bodies and masks that kept most of their faces hidden she had no idea who was attacking her. "Cowards." They didn't say a word as all four of them turned on her, raising their swords in the air. In silence they charged at her as with madness she didn't expect. "Huh?" Blocking two of their attacks she kicked the other one in the gut as best she could while the fourth one tried to charge up an Astral attack.

"Why are you so slow?"

She knew she was weak as is so she should have been taken care of very easily but these people seemed just as weak as her currently. "They barely have any energy in them." Feeling the flow of their energy she pushed back the three of them as lightning shot out from her other hand at the one trying to attack her from afar. With a flash she saw under their robes as something familiar came into vision. "Aren't those the clothes that we gave the patients?" Each patient had a similar set of clothes that Tearia couldn't forget. She had seen hundreds of people laying down in those the past few days.

"Are...are you all sick?"

Seeing their strength and those robes that was the only conclusion she could come to but why were they attacking her then, especially with such recklessness. "No matter." Swinging her scythe she jabbed one of their stomach's with the handle as she moved on to the next one. She could ask them questions later so she wanted to make sure not to kill them only injure them. Weakly dodging another of their attack's she did the same thing as before as she blocked it. Kicking forward she sent a spark of lightning into his body quickly paralyzing one. In quick succession she had knocked two of them out and only had two left.

"I was expecting a little bit more from a sneak attack…"

Punching another in the gut she quickly threw out another attack at the one further from her and watched as he dropped to floor along with his three partners.

"Weird...."

"Haaa...This is why you just do things yourself. Asking others just never really works does it."

Hearing a strange voice behind her Tearia spun around to see a man sitting in the window with a relaxed smile.
