Stabbing his blade into the monster beneath him Zelfin watched the mist of darkness spread out while his grin grew with it. "Zelfin, what are you trying to do here?" "Have some fun, so shut up and let me handle this." Completely ignoring the Spirit inside of his head he felt a wave of coldness wash over him cooling off his excitement. The fear was beginning to set in and it was time to get serious. This monster wasn't something he could underestimate in the slightest. Jumping back a couple steps he felt his hand shake slightly as the darkness started to disperse revealing a faint figure standing in the middle of it.
"It takes you back, doesn't it, to that day where it all began. Don't you agree? It must feel nice to be free."
The mist of darkness that hid the monster finally disappeared as one giant figure stood there. A figure covered in so much of their own blood it was hard to tell who it was anymore. Filled with black and red blades that pierced through their body and became a part of it, the monster he had seen in his nightmares had finally returned. "A living blade" That eerie smile broke through the blood as blades upcurved into a mouth that took up half of his face. Any form of the handsome man he used to be was replaced by a terrifying demon with one wing. Most importantly of all was his power had soared through the roof compared to before.
"Finally..a real Challenge."
Through stutters he pushed that out as he shakily pointed his sword at the demon in front of him. At this moment Zelfin was truly terrified but he still refused to back down. "What the hell is that thing?" Even the spirit inside of his head didn't know what that creature was. "Run, now Zelfin." Trying to get Zelfin to run it was getting influenced by a sense of fear in it's own right. By now the crowd of people that was left alive in this place had already run away screaming for their lives as they stumbled and pushed each other just to escape that much faster. The only people left now were the girls, the merchant, Zelfin and the monster that glued them there whether they were in fear or awe.
"Heheheheheeheehe."
The first person to break the silence was Xilo himself as a skin crawling laugh escaped his mouth by rubbing the blades he had for a mouth together. His red eyes pierced the darkness that they created as they looked for the thing they so desperately craved. Moving forward an inch his blade leg stabbed into the ground as a large crunch sound was heard. Looking down it saw a body beneath it's leg as it bent over and tried to pick it up. That familiar smell it had long forgotten entered it's senses as it ripped the corpse it had in its hands into pieces and tried to devour it's blood. It didn't care to fight or even run away, all it wanted to do was satisfy its hunger.
"Fight me you bastard!!!!"
Seeing the monster ignore him, Zelfin charged forward with zero confidence in any of his movements. "Don't ignore me!" Taking his dull sword he slashed straight at the living blade in front of him only to be blocked by it's lone wing. Feeling their blades collide, Zelfin pushed against it as the monster continued about it's ways without even glancing at Zelfin. "You aren't a match for this creature yet, Zelfin." "Shut up!" Goosebumps crawled along his skin as he broke the lock he put himself in. If the monster wanted to ignore him then he would just disrupt it in any way he could. Aiming for the body that it was trying to drink some blood from Zelfin stopped it in its tracks as he shoved his blade straight into his mouth.
"Sorry but I'm not gonna let you feed right in front of me."
Feeling it's mouth get locked in place Xilo dropped the body he was holding as it glanced upwards at Zelfin. Grabbing the blade that was in it's mouth it gripped it tight, shattering it in a second before his other arm slashed at him with a pair of blade claws. Unable to keep up with the monster's new found speed Zelfin received a set of set scratch marks that ran along his stomach as blood dripped out. Recoiling in pain he backed up slightly. "Fuck, it's even stronger then I remember." Once again he had dropped from the top of the world to the bottom in the face of the monster. Unlike before though he was prepared this time.
"Hehehee..Kish."
Chomping on the blade leftover in his mouth Xilo swallowed it without question as it tasted the blood on his hand. With an insane hunger it lunged at Zelfin as it's blades extended trying to rip him apart for more. Surprised by the sudden aggression Zelfin dodged to the side as he took out another sword that was a lot more impressive looking then before. "Looks like I'm going to need you after all." Holding a one handed blade that slightly curved itself throughout like a lightning bolt, Zelfin got ready to defend himself. This was his true sword that he had obtained during his training. Most of the time he didn't take it out though because it wasn't needed.
"I may also need to do that as well. Dammit, that's going to be some years off my life."
If he could beat the monster like this though it was all worth it. This is what he wanted and he was ready for it no matter what cost it took. "Zelfin, Listen to me dammit." "I'm sorry but I can't do that old man." Sighing the old spirit knew exactly what Zelfin was about to do. "Looks like I might need to step in." Watching him gather up time energy inside his body Zelfin prepared to use the trick he had saved just for this. The creature he was facing might have been a monster but so was he now and he was ready for this.
"Time acceleration."
Watching from the side the girl's didn't say a single word the whole time until eventually Xelfia managed to say something.
"Is...that..Xi..lo?"
