Crushing Hazel's hand, Xelfia's claws dug deep into her skin as she pulled her closer. Her lungs were on fire as the poison seeped into her bones and blood. Xelfia tried her best to ignore it as she bashed her head against Hazel's. Any care Xelfia had for her own well being had long disappeared as she felt her vision shake. Tearing her arm out of Xelfia's grasp before she could do anymore major damage to her Hazel felt the skin on her hand get ripped off completely. Four long cuts opened up on her hand that leaked blood onto the ground beneath them. Barely managing to keep the pain contained Hazel used her free hand to attack back.
A small dagger stabbed straight into Xelfia's skin with a bit of work. Pushing it deeper Hazel refused to let this chance go as she tried to rip Xelfia open. Elbowing Hazel's hand holding the dagger, Xelfia took in a bit of the situation around her. "I need to hurry up." From what she saw Zilan was losing his fight and everyone else was busy. "I need to end this." A couple of ideas managed to come to mind as she did her best to remove Hazel's dagger. With one quick tug she ripped the blade out as the wound quickly closed itself. Letting her body's natural regeneration do work, water started swirling around her body.
The pressure of it rose as she guided it straight into Hazel's face. Splashing her with water Hazel's body felt a lot heavier with so much weight crashing down on her. Vines poked out of the ground that were as sharp as swords and stabbed into Hazel's legs before she could dodge. Going through her leg entirely they planted themselves into the ground on the other side stopping her from any movement. This was something she was saving to use on Laven to help Zilan but that was too late now. Screaming in pain as something ripped through her legs, Hazel's vision cleared a bit with all the water gone. Looking at the woman in front of her Hazel felt terrified once more.
Even with her extra strength she still couldn't beat this woman and she had no more body shields anymore. From the looks of it a lot of their back up had finally been taken out by the rest of their group. "Dammit." Gnashing her teeth together Hazel was irritated that she was about to fail here. She wasn't worried about dying though, no one could kill her. "I guess he needs to step in." Thinking about Belturn's Leader, Hazel sighed as she gave up. At that moment though she heard sudden screams coming from her side. Looking over she saw Laven defeating Zilan finally as a glimmer of hope surfaced on her face. "Or maybe not." Before that excitement could completely bubble up though she felt herself get smacked so hard in the face that it almost snapped her neck.
"Bleh."
Spitting up blood Hazel looked at her attacker, before she could say anything though Xelfia smashed her face with her fists one more time and knocked her out. She didn't have time to mess around after seeing Zilan's situation. "Xilo doesn't have the energy right now." Turning her body she went to go save Zilan before he was killed. Tearia, Xilo, Sarin, Darin, Relia and especially Marie all did their best to save him. Xelfia managed to make it there first in time as she grabbed the axe that was about to send Zilan to his grave. Struggling to stop it, she pulled back as the others ran up behind her and helped. Within seconds they had managed to rip Laven away from Zilan.
"Marie, Sarin, protect him, we'll take care of Laven."
Marie and Sarin were the people best suited to protect Zilan and Xilo knew that. Letting them back away with Zilan, Xilo faced Laven with everyone else. "He managed to beat Zilan." Out of everyone here Zilan was undoubtedly the strongest by far. Without him around now things were going to be rough. "Xelfia is here too." Xilo knew Xelfia was strong but she couldn't it alone. Everyone needed to help out or they would all be screwed. Looking at Laven's body radiating familiar energy while growing stronger, Xilo felt a bit confused. "Why does this seem familiar?" He felt like he had seen it before but he didn't quite know where.
"Laven!"
A growl left Xilo's throat as he spoke Laven's name. He stayed perfectly calm though as he looked at the five of them with a small grin on his face. More World Power crept into his bones by the second as Laven got even stronger. Now with the demon in front of him and nowhere to hide he could finally kill them. He saw Xelfia's strength but that didn't bother him at all. "The start of my hunting begins here." Dropping his axe he took out a normal sword he had on him and pointed it directly at Xilo. Watching the blade get pointed at him Xilo felt his stomach turn a bit as he took out Ice Breaker.
"Demon....Without your friend you won't win this. There's nowhere left for you to run. I know of the darkness that runs through your blood and the rest of these people you've corrupted. Feel free to use it all you want but it won't matter. I won't be defeated nor will I let you hurt innocent people anymore."
To Laven, Xilo was pure evil and there weren't any questions about it.
"Why do you keep calling me that? I've done nothing wrong, only defended myself. Is that something that's really evil?"
Xilo didn't know how he knew about his Darkness Element but he didn't care about that. He couldn't use it right now if he wanted to with everyone watching them currently. He just wanted to know why Laven seemed so fixated on him. "Is it really the Darkness or something else?" He knew about Darknesses bad reputation with most people but maybe he had underestimated how hated it was. "Is this why he attacked us back in the Castle?" Thinking about that Astral Zone and when Laven first came after them Xilo could only come to that conclusion as he also remembered something else. When Althea had shown up there was also a man there to help them who had a similar energy to Laven currently.
"....Are they the same power then?"
If they were one in the same, then Xilo had a lot more things to worry about and maybe another reason as to why Laven was attacking them. "What do we do now?" That hopeless feeling sunk in a bit more as Xilo tried to think about what to do. Laven didn't give them that kinda time though as he rushed to attack him. Words wouldn't ever be enough to convince him to stop. "This is revenge." Memories flew by in his mind as he slashed straight at Xilo trying to cut him into two. Xelfia was able to step in front of Xilo and block the blade before that could happen. Even with Laven's speed she was still close enough to help out.
"Stay together!"
Splitting up against Laven would only get them killed.
