An Offer

Passing over each corpse she had created Katrin felt nothing as she tossed them to some of her maids to dispose of the body. Everyone else that was alive and passed out was sent to the main waiting room until they had woken up. Since she knew dealing with the aftermath of all of this was going to be trouble she asked Aeon for his advice as she got a different set of people to prepare for that. "I'll just act like I spared the others." If they wanted this front to hold up Katrin couldn't declare that she lost. She had to push this as far as she could go, until the lie fell into pieces. "I can't use that energy anymore but...others could." Watching Aeon leave with some of the bodies Katrin kept that to herself as time went on.

The sun was starting to rise once they were finally finished dealing with all the little things. Most people still hadn't woken up just yet so Katrin and Aeon were relaxing together in her Throne room as they healed. Aeon was still very wounded from both of his fights against her, from the looks of it he was dealing with it quite well. "He can heal me at the same time even in that condition." They had thought about asking Tearia or Marie for some help but settled on just using their natural healing and speeding up. Those two were asleep right now so it was best to not disturb them. Looking around the destroyed room that still needed some cleaning up Aeon decided to break the stillness of it all.

"So, what's going through your head right now....It's been a very long time since we've stood in the same room together, if you don't count that one time when I was behind bars. I know a lot has happened to me, I came here never expecting this to happen nor did I think I'd get stabbed by you twice. You know what, thinking about it now maybe I shouldn't have come to this city after all..."

Joking around, Aeon glanced at his wife as he tried to lighten up the mood.

"Both times I was trying to save your life, If I didn't stab you at the end there you would have blown yourself up in stupidity. I still have no idea how you thought dying would make me happy in any way or Felli. Seriously for someone who acts like they know everything you sure are stupid sometimes...I swear."

"Well...I was prepared to do anything to stop you from doing that to yourself. Words didn't really work so I had to show it through actions even if I almost killed myself in the process. Seeing you like that today was really hard for me to accept. It was so very different from the girl I remembered years ago. You moved and thought like a machine just doing...it was honestly a bit scary. My heart felt it was suffocating with each strike I tried, it took everything I had to fight you."

"You're partially to blame for that you know? You left me all alone with a child to raise and a sudden Country I was forced to rule. Combine that with the stress my Mother put on me without my Father around anymore I was forced to become this. If I didn't I would have broken in a worse way. Felli was the only thing that kept me sane during these years and even then I almost did the same thing to her my Mother did to me....I'm quite a horrible Mother and person while I'm at it... I killed a lot of people today and yet I feel nothing for them. I just keep thinking that it's better than you or Felli. Maybe I have broken a bit."

Katrin's soothing voice turned a bit more quiet towards the end as her breathing quickened yet she continued.

"Learning all these things and meeting you again today along with those kids has been nice though. It's been a breath of fresh air that I didn't think I needed."

"They are good kids for sure, even if they are a little headstrong. The only reason they were here today was because of our Daughter Felli. Apparently after meeting her, she abandoned them when they were running away from some pursuers. Tearia talked with me a bit about how they became friends and how Felli even helped Tearia out quite a bit. Coupled with Xilo's nature of spoiling those around him he sought her out once more though this was probably a lot earlier than he initially anticipated. I remembered him talking about how he wanted to build a clan and a home for everyone. He probably would use some of that power to find Felli again but it looks like that's not needed anymore."

"I thought I noticed some changes in Felli when she returned from that place. I thought it was just her excitement in completing her mission and finally perfecting her Space Energy but it looks like it was nothing more than love..along with a bit of friendship."

"Ahhh right speaking of your family's Space Energy that Tearia girl's Grandfather was apparently friends with your Father. Does the name Elliot Dracen ring any bells for you?"

"It does, I remember my Father never shutting up about him. I don't know all the specifics that happened between those two but they were quite close. I guess that carried over to Felli and Tearia then. I'm surprised Elliot is still alive though...from What I remember he was quite old."

"Some people are just too stubborn to die and the world truly is a small place sometimes. The Dracen's have helped your Father, you're Daughter and now even you..We owe them quite a bit it seems."

"I don't think I can ever repay them for what they've done..."

"That's fine, just don't let them down alright?"

"I'll do my best from now on..though you mentioned that boy wanting to make a clan of his own right?"

"Yeah, why do you bring that up?"

"Do you think he would want to be the Leader of a Clan I created?"

Hearing that Aeon froze as he stared at his Wife.
