Being A Leader

Xilo felt a tinge of worry after accepting her offer when he saw her smile. "Will I regret this?" She definitely had some ideas in mind when she made gave him that choice. "I have no idea what they are though." Rubbing the back of Xelfia's hand, Xilo settled himself down and accepted his fate. "If I have her support though..." The places he could go could potentially be endless. Staring up the giant hole that was still in the roof Xilo decided to go with the flow. "Let's see where this brings me." Being the leader of a new clan didn't sound like such a bad thing. Before he could let his mind wander he decided to bring up what he wanted to talk about.

"Now that I've accepted your proposal, would you mind telling us what happened up in the sky with our friend?"

"Not really much more to say then before, she just prattled on about a man named Dusk and how he controlled the Astral Zones. There was something along the lines of getting revenge I think, I didn't really hear it clearly. She talked about keeping her promise to Relia then dropped me before flying off in the direction of Dracon. She might be headed for there or even a place beyond..who knows. I'd like to ask you what she was but I'm almost positive you're just confused as I am so that's pointless."

"Dusk, revenge and a promise...Not really much to go off."

"I told you and if you think you have any chance of getting her back, think again. She could defeat me who was bordering near the 20th stage when I used everyone's power without doing anything. My guess is she is probably at the top of the world in terms of strength if not completely there. So around the 25th Stage....not many more beyond that. Those Zones refuse to let us go any further as you've now learned. That is the peak of humanity and most Astral Beasts besides a few rare exceptions. We consider those people natural disasters that just do as they please. I met one a couple years ago and that was one experience I'd like to forget.``

"How many Natural disasters exist?"

"From what we have recorded...around 11. There could be more, it all just depends if they care to make themselves known. Once every couple years one rears its ugly head trying to cause some type of trouble. Most Royal family's do their best to handle them when we can but even then it's a bit rough. Enough of that boring talk though, Let's get into the specifics of what I want you to be doing or well how the clan will go."

"Am I just a stand in for you?"

"No but you have almost zero connections and zero power. If I'm not around this would never happen. For the most part though I've already picked some people you might know and some you won't. Let's start off with the obvious ones. Aeon here will be a sub leader of sorts until you find another. He'll be teaching you, oh and if you have any complaints tell me now. I can't read your mind. next will be Felli, I don't really care what position you give her but she will be in it. Another one I had in mind was someone else from the Royal Family that you've met before. His name is Arzan and is one of the few Friends of Felli. He should be coming here soon. Oh, there he is."

Turning to the door Katrin saw Arzan entering.

"That's the person who attacked me before!"

Instantly Tearia recognized him as Xilo side glanced at Katrin after hearing that.

"It was an order from me at the time, do try and forgive him, he's a nice kid if not a little uh....eccentric.

"It seems like you have quite a bit in mind already, Katrin."

Noticing the speed at which Katrin was handling this Xilo couldn't help raising an eyebrow to it.

"Me and Aeon talked about it for a couple hours. Any problems so far?"

"Tearia you got any problems with Arzan?"

"....Kind of."

"Fine, I'll keep Arzan on the side lines for now until you get to know him better. Let me introduce some new people now though. Xilo, I want you to listen to me now and remember this well. I may have picked these people out but you are the leader now. These are your people, they live or die under your orders. I don't really care what you think about me but make sure that sticks in your head for the rest of your life. You as a person are responsible for the lives of the people around you. From now on try to act like that."

Hearing Katrin speak so seriously Xilo decided to also listen to her advice seriously as she called people in. Soon a group of twenty or so people walked in the Throne room and lined up in front of him. Looking at each person they all had various levels of strength. "Quite an assortment." Since they were picked by Katrin he had some skepticism but he kept it to himself as he watched each one and how they reacted to seeing him. "Hmmm. Glancing at the people around him he looked at Zilan as he debated whether to ask him to join. Zilan was quick to reply to him though and instantly shot him down.

"I appreciate the offer but we've got other things to do. I don't mind helping out when you need me though."

"Alright, If I need it I'll ask you, Xelfia, Tearia, Rel.... Are you two alright with this?"

"You already said yes."

"Not like we have much of a choice."

Hearing their agreement Xilo smiled as Katrin set everything up, there was a lot to go through and Katrin was eager to get things started as she introduced each person here. Starting from the left of the line she went through each of their names until she landed on the last person. Once that was done she dismissed them as she grabbed Aeon's attention again. It was his time to start teaching Xilo and he had a lot to learn.

"Aeon, you're up now."

Xilo felt a little overwhelmed about how fast things were going, however he had no control in the matter and was forced into one of the Castle courtyards by Aeon for his first lessons before he realized it.
