After Azalu said that silence fell as they stared at each other. The creature didn't know how to answer her question, that kind of speaking was too difficult for them. "Uhm..." It went through every memory it had trying to figure out how to explain itself. Azalu's fire grew stronger as she threatened the small creature. No one should know about that name except for a very small group of people. "They're far away from here." Azalu had left them long behind which meant this creature had nothing to do with them. "A few Astral Beasts can read memories." When she compared how this creature looked to the ones she was thinking about though she saw zero similarities.
"What even is it." Azalu saw so many different Astral Beasts parts that it looked less like a single Astral Beast and more like a clump of them smashed together. "It's looks like it's struggling for an answer." The genuine frustration was written all over its face as its small body tried to think. That was one of the main reasons why Azalu hadn't attacked it yet. Settling herself down Azalu still had time so she let the creature go at it's own pace. Eventually she would get an answer. "Hopefully." The creature looked everywhere it could before it finally gave up and took a step forward.
"Hmph."
Checking on the giant's bird's reactions the creature got closer until it could eventually touch Azalu. The flames didn't burn or hurt it all, it just left a nice warmth that flowed through her body. "Feels good." Stretching out a hand, it constantly made sure Azalu was watching. Placing it down on its skin, the fire passed through its hands like water. Astral Energy swirled around in its body following the current out as a bit of darkness seeped into the air. Bending the darkness the creature made it into the shape of a person.
It was the silhouette of a man they both knew. Once Azalu saw that darkness she instantly understood why the creature seemed familiar. They carried the same energy that was practically identical. Between two different people that would never be the case since each person was unique. However this creature seemed to break that rule somehow. A hint of caution crossed Azalu's face as she tried to think about how to handle this situation. "I've never seen anything like this." Her lives of memories were of no use to her here, this was an entirely new experience.
"Are you trying to tell me you know that man?"
Pointing her wing at the figure she saw the creature nod its head.
"What are your relations with it? A friend or something else?"
Tilting its head the creature didn't understand that question, it was something far beyond its understanding. Seeing the confusion, Azalu sighed as she took it as no. "It's intelligence seems very low." Besides very basic phrases and speech it didn't understand many things or know how to communicate. Azalu thought about asking the creature some other things but it was too late for that. "Huh!?" A loud thud awoke her from her thoughts as she saw the creature tumble onto the floor and stop moving. With panic in her movements Azalu checked on the creature to see if it was safe.
"Looks like it's still breathing, it's probably just tired."
She debated in her head if she wanted to leave this place while it was passed out. It would be the perfect opportunity to get away from it, especially since it knew Xilo and Relia. However, that peaceful sleeping face stopped Azalu in her tracks. In the end Azalu decided to stay until it woke back up, there was no need to run from it. Watching over it Azalu let some time pass as she studied its body. "It's merged a few Astral Beasts together." She saw at least ten different Astral Beasts parts sticking out from its body. It's body was mostly humanoid though which was a bit confusing.
"Is this thing some kind of man made Astral Beast?"
That felt like the conclusion that made the most sense but she wasn't sure. "If it is..." Did it start out as a human or did it start out as an Astral Beast? Once she found her thoughts lingering in that direction she shuddered in fear. "Human's always try stupid things like this." She had similar things in the past quite a few times, this was the first time she had seen it actually seem to succeed. Checking the creature's Astral Energy she confirmed for a second time that it was definitely Xilo's darkness she felt. With that in mind she waited for the creature to wake up again.
"It's communication skills suck but it doesn't seem to lack intelligence. It's probably growing, which means if I can teach it a few things it could probably learn. Kind of like a newborn child of sorts, it'll greedily soak up all that information. I wonder why it was so tiring though...?"
For a creature like this one to be out this far all on its one meant something happened. "It's probably on the run." Just like when Relia was trying to escape Belturn, this creature was experiencing similar pain. Once it found Azalu and felt the connection to Relia; it probably felt safe and passed out. "Even when you're dead...you still cause me problems." Azalu knew even more problems would come to her eventually. "I'm sure Xilo hasn't given up on Relia either." That wasn't the kind of person he was, which meant one day he might show up in front of her as well.
"Will I be able to fight him...or?"
That was a question she didn't have an answer for. A part of her wanted to say yes but a voice deep inside of her screamed out no. "What if he gets in my way though?" If Xilo tried to stop her from achieving her goal then she wouldn't have a choice. She had spent thousands of years trying to free herself from this curse. She wouldn't let a little attachment to one of her reincarnations had stop her. "Relia is going to hate me when we meet again if that's the case." She probably already did though so it didn't bother her too much. "Just another one to the list." In this world she would always be alone, that's just how it was for her Kind.
