Led Along

Sitting around a table the girls talked with each other. Xilo had attempted to join them only to be pulled away by Lexia. There was apparently somewhere she wanted to take him today so everyone else was left on their own. Yulrin and Vandor had already gone out to check out the City. If they wanted to gather information and keep tabs on things it was best if they got to know people. Since they were going to be here a while they wanted to be as prepared as possible. That left Tearia, Xelfia and Felli to be on their own at the lodge Lexia gave them.

For Felli that knowledge left her feeling like she was trapped. "Did they do this on purpose?" Xelfia and Tearia on the other hand were already planning things to do with Felli. "With Xilo gone it's a girls day." Looking at Felli, Tearia was already coming up with plans as she talked about last night. Xelfia made sure she heard every single detail from Felli. "Hmmmm..." With each thing she heard Xelfia got a bit more skeptical as she drank a bit of water. With their lack of sleep they could use all the energy they could get.

"It's a little weird to hear Xilo being so....passive. He's usually quite aggressive when he sets his mind on something. What do you think Tearia?"

"True, maybe he was just feeling off though? Even after hating my guts, he still never stopped being upfront and confident. That's another reason I like him."

"Yeah, I doubt that's the case though. Just a feeling wouldn't put Xilo in that kind of position. Xilo doesn't really have off days from what I noticed, except if you count the days he has bursts of pain that destroy his body. He usually tries to be alone during those days and doesn't do a thing. He's off with Lexia currently though so that rules that out."

"Maybe, but there has to be some reason for his behaviour right? I don't know what else it could be."

Grabbing the water Xelfia handed her Tearia took a sip herself as she started to wake up properly.

Glancing back at Felli, Xelfia explored her thoughts as she tried to guess what it was that threw him off. "I guess Relia really got to him." Xelfia couldn't think of any other reason for Xilo to act like that. She was also surprised to hear that Felli didn't say yes or no. She really thought she would have been right with her assumptions. "Have I just been wrong twice?" That shouldn't be the case, especially given that Felli asked him to stay the night with her. Relia also always tried to snug herself in with him and she was getting closer with him again before disappearing.

"Relia's probably getting to him, you not saying yes or no right away was also another blow to his confidence. I assume he just over-thought it like hell and got stuck in a weird spot."

"It's not my fault I couldn't give him an answer!"

"Oh I know Felli, Me and Xilo aren't blaming you at all. So please don't think that. Besides we both know you'll say yes eventually. It's just a matter of time until this tough act you got going on fades."

A teasing smile was all Felli received as her mouth fell open.

"I haven't said yes yet! Nor am I putting on some kind of act...it's just something really important to me so I want to think about it more."

Hanging her head Felli wondered if she had made a mistake last night. Shaking her head, Xelfia dropped the smile as she wrapped her arm around Felli's shoulder. Pulling her close she gave Felli a hug as she apologized. "She's right, it's a important decision." Deciding on who you want your partner to be was a very big deal, that could potentially last forever. "Well we're here for her." Tearia and herself had more then experience with Xilo and would be more then happy to help ease her into it. "Humans....beasts...doesn't matter what you are." Emotions were always going to be something complicated and never easy to understand.

"I know, I was just trying to push you forward a little bit. I don't want you getting stuck again and finding yourself lost Felli. So if you feel like talking with us, just let me know. We can tell you all about our experiences with Xilo and the things we've felt. Though you've seen a good chunk of them yourself as well."

"I will, thank you."

Tearia put down her glass of water as she looked at Felli's current appearance.

"Like your appearance for example, maybe it doesn't need a big glamorous change but a few touch ups wouldn't hurt. I'm sure you'd like to feel a tad bit more presentable and Xilo might appreciate it as well. That's just a bonus but it could help with your confidence. That's the second thing I noticed about you, the lack of self worth. I think the years in that fancy Castle have destroyed it. Rather then build it up to intolerable heights."

Like always Tearia was blunt with her words, hiding what she felt was never a good thing. She had tried with Xilo and that almost ended up horribly. So if she could build some confidence and help Felli express herself more then it would be great. Felli could feel Tearia's words stab into her as she looked at her current clothing. It wasn't anything fancy but it was something she liked to wear. "She's not wrong though." There was definitely a lot more Felli could be doing better with. Her Mother had sheltered her for far too long and it was time for some changes for herself. Improving was never a bad thing and like Tearia said, if it impressed Xilo then that was just a bonus.

"I feel like I'm being led along somehow."

Felli definitely had that feeling but she couldn't do anything as Xelfia and Tearia kept on chatting away, she didn't mind it though.

"it's nice."
