A Few Tricks And Doubt Placed

Winning in a fight against Landal or Drahal was impossible for Lexia. She wasn't nearly as strong as the two of them. Her hope in showing herself was to divert Landal's anger towards her instead. If it worked the way she wanted then she should be able to take semi control of this conversation. "No one needs to die yet." Even though her feelings for Landal weren't positive she didn't want to see him die or anyone here. An annoying voice pierced Landal's eardrums and stopped his next words cold. Glancing at the annoyance who had disrupted his conversation he knew exactly who it was. There was only one person in this entire place that had that arrogance to talk at a time like this.

"Lexia."

Hearing Landal seem so hateful, Drahal looked towards the human who spoke up and raised an eyebrow. "So it's her." With four different pairs of powerful eyes locked on to her Lexia didn't flinch or turn away. Watching from afar Xilo gripped the railing tighter as his heart filled with worry. "She's crazy." That was the only thing going through Xilo's head as he spectated everything happening. A part of him wanted to jump down himself and help however he knew just how pointless that was. "What are you trying to prove?" Ever since XIlo had arrived here that thought gnawed at the back of his mind like an itch he couldn't scratch.

"Hello Landal and the great Cestrin King Drahal. It's a pleasure to meet you for the first time in person."

"So you're Landal's wife then I presume, I seem to recall someone mentioning you being his Queen. I have never met you in person through all of these years though. I almost thought you were just someone he had made up honestly."

His three heads kept an eye on both of them as Drahal studied this new face.

"I tend to keep to myself a lot. I'm sorry if I didn't seem real to you. The world is quite a scary place and as you can see I'm not very strong myself. In more simple terms you could call me a bit of a coward."

Hearing Lexia talk so casually with Drahal and even make herself seem lower sent Landal into a silent frenzy. "You can't be serious." In front of all these people she showed no honour or pride. "This is why he had sent her away." He wanted to make sure she would cause zero problems if anything happened. Lexia was useless to him beyond tending to very small petty matters that didn't concern him. She was weak and she wasn't good with socialising as well. "She's..just too different now." A sigh escaped his body as he looked at the woman he used to love. There was a time in this world that he would have done anything for her.

"I'm sorry Drahal, I didn't think Lexia would be here today. Don't pay her much attention and you Lexia...you need to leave."

Whispering that under his at the end Drahal and Lexia heard him clearly. He had noticed her entering the Castle and didn't say anything since he didn't expect her to do anything so bold. Lexia was about to speak up and defend herself but Drahal interrupted the both of them. Looking at these two a few ideas came to mind. "So it's working." A sly hidden smile crossed one of his heads as he spoke up. Drahal could tell that they didn't care much for each other and if he could put a bigger gap between them then he could cause a lot of chaos. if he broke from the inside out then he wouldn't even need to fight them to win.

"It's alright Landal, she is the Queen after all and I wouldn't mind talking to her as well. I'd even like to hear her opinion on my earlier statement. It's always good to get a second opinion with important things such as this, don't you agree?"

Drahal was lighting the spark.

Feeling his own skin crawl, Landal could practically hear Drahal laughing at him like an idiot even though he didn't show it. "He knows exactly what he's doing." Knowing his own wife as well and the way she saw war Landal knew what he answer would be. "She hates fighting, always has. That is one thing that didn't change." If Lexia actually openly agreed with Drahal in front of all these people then there would be chaos. "Most people here don't hate her and have sided with her in the past." He had kicked her out to diminish the presence she had and to make them forget about her like he tried to.

"Oh, do you mean if we go to war that we should surrender to you? I think that's...."

Placing a finger on her chin Lexia felt everyone's eyes finally fall on her as peoples breathing slowed down, Looking at Landal shaking his head from the corner of her eye Lexia smiled as she came to a conclusion.

"Honestly I don't think it's something I can completely write off. I care too much about my people's safety and lives to just throw them away and I'm sure you do. That of course is only if it ever comes to war of course otherwise I wouldn't agree."

"I see, I see. A reasonable answer is much better than just lashing out in anger at someone. I'm trying to do what's best for the both of us after all. My wish isn't to cause harm or hurt any of you. We've been side by side for so long you could almost call us friends in a way."

Landal could barely hold his urge in to puke hearing the term friends come out of Drahal's mouth. Drahal threw any chance out of the way when he decided to slaughter everyone years ago. "Asshole." Drahal was pleased with her answer as heard faint whispers spreading through the crowd. With Landal's face turning bright red and Lexia following his lead he knew that there would be a lot more in fighting once he left. "Two idiotic human's." The Queen was a pushover and a coward just like he had thought, it seems the reports he was given were accurate. Lexia watched the two of them with a knife hiding right behind her smile. As long as it stopped them from fighting she would make herself out to be a fool.

"It looks like I calmed down Drahal and made Landal pissed at me. Good."

Now she just had to figure out a way to get Drahal to leave her without making any more noise. "That's the real pain." A part of her doubted that he came here today just to tell them to give up and die. He had to have had another reason for coming, she just didn't know what. Xilo felt sweat trickle down his cheek as he heard their conversation. "Is she insane!?!?" Hearing her talk and seeing the way she was acting was not the Lexia he had gotten to know these past couple days. She was almost a different person now standing up there in front of all of those people and he didn't think it was a good change.

"Didn't you say you wanted to fight for all these people, are you really backing down in the face of power?"

Xilo was slightly disappointed as he thought that.
