On The Run

Taking a seat, Yanyan felt her nerves getting to her with all these people around her. They may not have been attacking her yet it still bugged her. Levia soon took a seat next to her as the Astral Beasts in the front got to moving. If it wasn't for Levia's presence there was a chance Yanyan might have already left here. "So tired." Levia kept track of everyone as she focused on their route before she felt something hit her arm. Glancing to the side she saw Yanyan's face leaning against her arm as the soft sound of her breathing reached her ears. She had completely fallen asleep the second she was able to relax her body.

"I have no idea how long she was running or fighting. She must've been exhausted beyond belief. Poor girl...the second she felt even a little relaxed she passed out. Don't worry, I'll keep you safe for now at the very least."

She couldn't protect Yanyan forever, only as long as they were together. Focusing on the path ahead they travelled for the rest in the day with little interruptions. The most annoying problem that Levia faced was Zelfin's ever odd behaviour. Figures ran down a hall as the sound of shouting got quieter behind them. Vandor and the others had managed to create a bit of distance between their pursuers. "We have to lose them." At this point any main exit was already blocked off leaving them with one choice. Carrying around a bunch of baggage locked in chains was going to make it difficult to escape.

"We can't just leave them here."

The entire Castle was under full alert of intruders and more people were on the way. A message entered Vandor's ear as he turned a corner and dashed into the courtyard. It was open and easy to spot them there so it was risky but it was the only option they had. "What's up, I'm little busy at the moment." Listening to the voice Vandor recognized it as the one who had been inside. Apparently he had gathered a few bits of data on where most of the guards were stationed. "...Thanks, we appreciate the help." If they could get to the area where guards were low they might not need to use the secret route that Xilo had told them about.

Grass rustled beneath their feet as guards spilled into the courtyard throwing every projectile they had at them. Some were even chucking their own swords in an attempt to stop them. "Crazy people!" Heading to an exit that was up ahead Vandor saw a group forming there to cut them off. "We'll have to deal with them quickly." Opening up his arms Vandor ran ahead of the group like a wild bull. All the men and women that went to stop them tightened up their guard as Vandor rushed at them. That didn't make Vandor hesitate in the slightest, instead his actions caused some of the guards there to run away themselves.

Barrelling into them Vandor's arms crushed four people into the floor instantly as his body tackled multiple others to the ground. "So close." He had almost knocked everyone out with that one attack. Knocking out the few leftover guards that had gone frozen in fear, Vandor cleaned up the mess he left. "Not a perfect throw but oh well." Beckoning everyone forward he watched ahead to make sure no one else was coming just yet. Yulrin did her best to protect everyone as things came flying at her from all directions. There were a few close calls that almost gave her a scare but she managed to handle most of it with ease.

"Xilo better be happy when we return."

Making it out of the courtyard they ran down another hallway as Vandor gave them the updated information he had. While they escaped Landel was losing his mind hearing the reports. Shouting at everyone to catch the people he could feel his blood vessels beginning to throb. "Are we really this incompentent??" At this rate he would have to step in and deal with themselves. No one who was against him would be allowed to escape so easily. "So Lexia wants to help them, then I'll kill them now." He wasn't going to kill them at first, just keep them locked up until everything was over. They wouldn't have been a threat to him or his plans that way and he kept everyone happy.

"Lexia doesn't know when to give up though...Even after all this time she still chooses to go against me."

Following the directions he was sent Vandor saw an empty gate after more running. They had managed to escape or knock out most of the people chasing them and now they were almost out. Once they were in the City then they were essentially in the clear. There's no way the Castle would make this public and if they were with Xilo and Lexia they would be safe. Checking on everyone one last time Vandor knew some people were losing some power. "Just a little more!" Trying to encourage them they sprinted to the gate where the man who had told them about this was standing.

"He's already taken care of the guards for us, everyone. Just keep going and we will all be safe. Come on!"

A couple bodies were lying on the ground knocked out but they avoided them. Out of breath they arrived in front of the gate as the man quickly flipped a switch. Opening up the gate for them he pushed them away as he sent more false reports to the Castle. Without him they wouldn't have been able to get out so smoothly. "Thanks." Patting him on the shoulder Vandor left the Castle walls behind him as they stepped into the City. Finding a quick alley to hide in, all they had to do now was return home without running into anyone and they were safe. Taking a breather Vandor leaned against the wall as he watched the exit close behind them from where they had just left.

"Looks like we're out of the hot zone now. Good job everyone, it was difficult but we did it anyway."

Xilo tapped his hand on the table beneath him as his worry grew alongside Lexia. There weren't any updates on the situation and they were completely left in the dark. "I hope they're okay." If they didn't come back alive Xilo didn't know what he would do. It had only been a couple of hours and those horrible thoughts were already taking over his mind. "Bleh..." Trying to push them out as much as he could, Xilo heard a knock on the door as he jumped out from his seat. He didn't know or care who it was as he went straight to the door. "Please be them." Swinging the door wide open Xilo didn't even breathe as he saw the person standing in front of him.

"Huh..what happened?"
